the rescue. >> they have thawed them off and now they're in the care of officials who take there stray animals so these guys are now in a stable getting veterinary care and help. >> feel like i want to hit them with a bunch of hair dryers or put them in a hot tub. >> put a heating blanket around them and hug on them until they get real warm and fuzzy. >> this is my favorite photo. instead of a big brushing they it to get a broom to brush the fur and get the ice off. >> it's really stuck on there. you can see after they thawed them out there's still little pieces of ice stuck. >> all of them are expected to be okay. in this dash cam video from ohio state patrol, they've got a cruiser off to the side of the road dealing with a car accident. outside the car is trooper brent hill. watch what happens to trooper hill. >> [ bleep ]. >> whoa. >> trooper hill was struck by another motorist.

you see him go flying through the air beyond the car that they were there trying to help. struck the pavement. trooper hill survived this accident but he was critically injured. this happening back in february of this year just weeks after he started on the force. he's only 26 years old. he spent 20 days in the hospital with severe head trauma and extensive leg injuries. trooper brent hill has recovered from his injuries but he is not actively on the force right now. heartbreaking part about this video is you hear his partner run up to him -- >> frank. frank. frank. don't move. >> you've got to hurry. >> you've got to hurry. >> it's hard to hear his partner calling for help. he's obviously distressed to what he's seeing. this video now being released because the driver that struck trooper hill, 22-year-old tyler andrew combs has been sentenced to six months in jail and

ordered to pay $1,000 fine. he did plead guilty in this incident. the trooper's also releasing this video trying to remind people to move over when you see emergency lights on the side of the road. give these guys room to work. and also slow down. you can see that it's raining out there. conditions were not safe. they allege that combs was driving too fast for the conditions and they also allege that he was using marijuana earlier in the day. >> i thought that was a piece of the car flying. you can't even tell that it's a person. it looks like a part of the bumper. >> oh, man. >> it's hard to believe somebody can survive something like that. >> yeah. what you're looking at in this video really is just stunning images from the great bear sea in the great bear rain forest in british columbia, canada. some of the aquatic life down there, some awesome footage. doesn't even look real some of it. looks just like a painting, right? this is just something you might

want to have in your house playing all the time. it's so beautiful to look at. a guy from pacific wild tells us about some of the other cool animals that are in the great bare rain forest. >> over 1,000 salmon. the world's grizzly bears. >> really cool stuff. >> yeah. >> here's the thing, this could all go away. >> the world's largest oil and gas companies are now proposing numerous pipe lines that will go through the heart of this fragile ecosystem. super tankers with oil and gas would disrupt this and all it would take is one oil spill that would permanently destroy this. >> what they're trying to do is get these images out there of how beautiful this area is. some of these animals, some of this wildlife so people can raise awareness so people can stop this from happening. they have two cameras. what they're trying to see. what they're trying to do is raise more money to install more cameras so people can see more and more of what this area has to offer. if you want to find out how you

building. people immediately come to his aid. he comes slowly through that awning and they quickly take him to get zblep a. a well calculated risk. >> they called it a panic. he did escape this fire with only minor injuries. firefighters arrived shortly after. you can see them also in the video fighting the fire trying to get the fire under control. the building was damaged severely but no other injuries were reported as a result of this fire. >> i call that self-preservation not panic. >> he probably couldn't breathe, too. >> right. >> this might have been his last resort, all he could do. >> at the end of the video we actually see the man on the street sitting there being tended to by other people in turkey. he seems to have only a few scrapes and bruises. i can't breathe. >> two cops have to deal with a suspect resisting arrest. >> and also fend off the insults from the crowd here.

as you know, people love to film the police when they're making an arrest or when they're in public. of course, people have this right, and sometimes it's justified, but then sometimes it's just annoying. in my opinion, this is an example of the latter. these are two officers, mark barelli and chantall williams arresting this woman for theft. they have a crowd around them. they start sort of berating the officers. >> why are you doing this? why is he doing this? >> it's only a weak girl. >> ow. >> why are you doing that?

>> she's being hurt by them. >> ow. >> she's losing her mind here, but she's just in cuffs, right? it doesn't look like he's really putting any pressure on her or anything. >> yeah, she's just in cuffs, just on the ground, doesn't want to be arrested. >> she's under arrest. >> help me. >> she's under arrest. >> i actually feel bad for the officer. he's trying to keep this woman at bay and fend off the insults from the crowd. >> she's not resisting. >> they get her in the back of the police cruiser. officer mark morelli catches his breath and then very calmly and very succinctly addresses the crowd. >> it does not make allowances to let people go when they've broken the law. unfortunately she decided to resist while we placed her under arrest. >> i'm surprised he's dealing with them at all. >> while he's making this arrest. >> it looks to be much worse than it is. i can tell you it is only because she is so violently

flailing around on the ground. i'm doing my best, ma'am, not to hurt that girl. >> i love this guy. he's incredibly articulate and he's recognizing their concern. >> you're not alone because this video has gone incredibly viral. everyone saying they can't stand the guy behind the camera and they side with the cops. these are all thank yous, e-mails that they printed out on recyclable paper, people in the community thanking these guys for how they handled this situation. >> i feel this is how a situation should be handled. he did such a great job. >> the police chief, of course, commended these guys. said he was very, very proud of how they handled this situation. they did absolutely the right thing so, of course, the repercussions on these two officers, but a great job. i think bravo to both of them. >> ow. ow. >> in the car. >> ow. hello, everyone, my name is zena lar. i'm from colorado.

i circumnavigate the areas of california as well. >> sometimes we are lucky enough to get to know some really special people. this is zena lar. >> i suppose you could say i've had a self-diagnosed condition called ccd, it's creative compulsive disorder where i have to make stuff all the time. whatever i have around me. if it's trash or junk or things that people would normally throw away, i try to find ways to refabricate them into something useful. >> wow. >> as the video progresses she shares some of her pieces. this is probably one of my favorite pieces where she creates a huge tarantula. >> look at the eyes. >> right? >> this video was produced back in august to showcase zena's creativity, her personality, her interests. a few weeks later this video became a tribute to zena. >> in november zena suffered an accident while hiking and she passed away almost immediately,

so her friend, the filmmaker behind this video, stormy payette decided that she was going to revisit that footage and re-create a video that told the world the story of zena. to tell us more about zena and the video we have her friend, stormy via skype this minute. i think your video did an excellent job capturing the essence of zena. are you surprised by the reaction the video has gotten? >> yeah, actually. i'm not surprised people love zena but i'm surprised people are taking the time to watch my video about her. i guess maybe because everything i put online hardly anyone watches it, but it's really great to see how zena has become the world traveller she's always wanted to be. >> what is it about her that you think has so many people watching the video? >> she's one of those people who can't help but be herself in all her quirkiness and everything and i think that's what people find fascinating about her. she feels very genuine.

at all of the life that she had? >> it was really hard, and i am really sad that all of that was gone. i was thinking of how much fun it was to work on these little projects with her and how lucky and great all of that was. then when i got around to editing it, there were moments where i had totally forgotten that she had passed away. there were definitely moments where it was a really good experience and it was a really good way to use my art and what i do to heal, i guess. >> i see every day as a new opportunity to bring art to people, and i'm going to do it in every way possible. >> we are making the season bright with an ipad mini. all you need is today's buzz word for your chance to win. and, see how getting rid of a beard is as easy as one, two, sneeze. >> that's kind of creative.

of the purple cow. being in canada, being a surfer is weird enough. i thought why don't we throw a guitar in there, too. >> tell us about the parasailing video. >> i was at a surfing competition. there was a parasailing team. i was like, i should go up in the sky and play a song. they were like, sure, we have 5 minutes, can you get stuff together? i grabbed my gear. >> are you bad at anything? can you not walk and chew gum? >> i'm still working on that one, practicing every day. this handsome fella here, he is a student in the last few weeks of his school. he decided to let the beard grow out, but at this point it's time to get rid of it. you'll never guess how he gets rid of his. he sneezes it off. >> that's kind of creative.
