apartment is, is, 10 people in san francisco are out of their home after their apartment caught fire. crews were able to contain the fire. no one was hurt. investigators are trying to determine how that fire started. what happened this morning is almost too difficult to comprehend. a father of four killed his wife and committed suicide. all the children were in the home at the time and one saw what happened. >> a san lorenzo family is scared by what happened in the home. four children woke up to the sound of gunshots and the parents dead. >> relatives say john lin killed his wife, then he turned

by the end of the week. light rail services restored after an accident on the tracks in san jose. the valley transportation authority said a woman was hit and killed at 1:30. her name has not been released. the woman was walking on the tracks and wearing dark clothes. right now authorities trying to figure out if it was a suicide or accident. the family of a oakland girl on life support opened christmas presents today. they said jahi mcmath's room is their home dense december 12th. that's when she was declared brain dead. today the family received spiritual support. >> i want the family to know there's other people that are praying for their family and

for their daughter. yesterday a judge ruled the hospital does not need to keep jahi on life support past 5:00 on december 30th. the family has not decided if they will appeal the ruling. cover california has extended the deadline to get coverage by january 1. if you signed up by past monday but were not able to complete the application you have to friday to get it done. applicants should work with representatives even if they have no record of attempts to get coverage. san francisco firefighters played santa handing out toys in the tenderloin. firefighters from station number 1 and variousel have -- evils -- elves gave out toys.
