the airport. temperatures have plunged in the town in minnesota. the cold snap is not over. far from it. the town could break the record low of negative 64. that is set back in 1996. new this morning a driver is taken to the hospital after an overnight chase. they say it began as a pursuit with a suspect. and involved in a shooting. and it ended when he crash the his car near sixth street. they removed the man from the vehicle and he was taken to the hospital. >> oakland family wants to know why a 5-year-old boy was able to walk out of a city recreation centerful leading to a police search. >> this happened at the vallejo park in east oakland. they claim a staff member sent the 5-year-old home. the mother discovered her sob was gone when she went to pick him up at 3:30 p.m. >> i said call my mama. they said no. he wanted me to walk. >> how do you know.

>> he said. everybody, leave. > >> he was found safe at his cousin's home. the rec center has not commented on the incident. >> a man accused of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl in antioch. antioch police day they arrested david douglas friday night after a good samaritan spotted his car. and the missing girl was found inside his car and reunited with his family. they triggered an amber alert in several counties. >> they believe he abducted her after following her home from walmart. this ended in a crash that damaged six cars. chp said an officer tried to pull over the car driving on the wrong side of the road just hours ago. >> the driver led them through a chase and shotgun out the window. >> it ended when they crashed into several parked cars and

two passengers in the car were hurt in the crash. >> the driver is a minor and could face felony charges. >> they are in a crash that injured a pedestrian. >> that happened after -9d 30:00 last night and california street. >> the victim was taken to the hospital. the driver did stay at the scene and the cause of that crash is still under investigation. on line fundraiser has been set up to help the family of a 19-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a pick up truck on new year's eve. she was holding her 3-month-old baby boy and walking with her sister when all three were hit. the bibby is still in critical condition. as of this morning, the fundraiser has raised close to $11,000. the driver of the truck is cooperating with police and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash k >> the bart station forced riders to get home late. bart police responded to a call

. well the marine corps has delayed its requirement for women to do three pull ups to pass the fitness test. more than half of female recruits have been unable to do it. it is something male recruits are required to do and most of them pass the test. as they open combat positions in 2016, there is concern women may not be ready for combat.

it is a big difference for some of us. giving us a look there over san francisco and with the wind. no fog to speak of and mostly clear skies from the coast across the bay and into the inland valleys. starting in the 50s. you travel along the peninsula. and temperatures are near freezing. i am talking areas like palo alto where you don't have the wind. giving you a sweeping view. and so the winds are along the east bay hills. really blowing. and it is at mount diablo. and the southern edge. and you go north. 43 miles an hour and the offshore winds are driving the temperatures in areas like oakland across the bay and little bit of wind along the coastal range at half moon bay. and where the winds are calm, it is really cold this morning. mid-20s at the santa rosa airport. little bit of wind. and that is about it.

scattered showers. i will show you the temperaturesser for this afternoon and this morning where the winds are blowing -- coming up. 9:01. a man who led police on a chase overnight in oakland is now in the hospital. sheriff's deputies say the incident began as the pursuit of a shooting suspect and it all ended when the alleged crashed his car. deputies were able to remove the man from the vehicle. he had to be taken to the hospital. no word on the extent of his injuries. and an early-morning high- speed police chase in santa rosa ended with a crash that damaged six cars. the chp said officer tried to pull over the car driving with the headlights off. the driver led them through a chase and threw a sht gown out the window -- shot gun out the window. two passengers were hurt. police say the driver is a minor and could face felony charges. police activity at at the

welcome back. giving you a live look there at mt. diablo. mostly sunny skies in store for today and dry conditions. at least 15 people were killed and dozens more wounded after several bombings in baghdad overnight. the deadliest attack happened northern where two car bloms exploded simultaneously near a restaurant and a teahouse. ten people died. 26 more were wounded in the attack. three other bombing attacks were reported including one in a busy commercial area. rescuers in india are trying to reach people buried under the rubble of a building that collapsed killing at least seven people. the five-story building was under construction when it crumbled. witnesses say there were about 40 people on site. most of them construction workers. police say the cause of the collapse is still under investigation. the coast guard is joining the international effort to help free two ships stranded in antarctica. the coast guard says the

speaking to the media throughout the season. espn says the first time lynch talked to reporters was on friday and it was only for a short period of time. the nfl requires its players to talk to the media. four men are behind bars for allegedly stealing mail from a neighborhood in pleasanton. someone reported seeing the men removing mail from mailboxes on mcdonald court at around 9:00 friday night. the suspects left in a silver hatchback car. the police later found that car and took those four men into custody. stolen mail from pleasanton and 13 other cities was recovered in that vehicle. an oakland family wants to know how and why a 5-year-old boy was ablg to walk out of -- ablg to walk out of a -- able to walk out of a city rec center at the aroyia park center in east oakland. family members claim a staff member sent him home. his mother discovered her son was gone when she went to pick him up. police were called, a search began. he was found more than three

hours later. >> call my mom. they said no. he want me to walk. >> how to you know? >> because he said everybody leaves. >> the boy was found at his cousin's home at 7:00 at night. the rec center has not commented on the incident. bail for a man accused of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl as han set at $4 million. antioch police arrested david douglas on suspicion of kidnapping friday note at the marina. the -- fright at the marina. the girl has found in the missing car. this triggered an amber alert. police believe douglas abducted the girl after following her and her mother home from a walmart store. an oakland make club is showing support to jahi mcmath. yesterday, the members organized a ride to oakland's children's hospital to comfort jahi's family. jahi had her on soils taken out -- tonsils taken out december 9th and suffered complications

and was declared brain dead three days later. the family says she responds to her. >> i said hey, jahi. she moved her legs. she looks good. >> on friday, children's hospital reached an agreement with the family to allow her to be moved to an undisclosed facility. she's expected to be moved by tuesday, 5:00 p.m. the deadline to take her off life support. volunteers in santa rosa have helped rebuild a memorial for and yip lopez, the teen shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy. fire investigators say the memorial caught fire due to a burning candle. it was back on october 22nd when lopez was killed while carrying a ripply cau assault rifle. investigators say the deputy thought it was a real rifle when i fired at lopez. the -- when he fired at lopez. activists say the memorial is punish for the community -- is important for the community. >> our reason to rebuild, come

ktvu's katie utehs just arrived on the scene. what are you learning so far about this fire? >> reporter: mike, oakland fire is getting ready to clear the scene at the cash and carry warehouse. they told us that the fire was likely cautioned by a homeless encampment, people trying to stay warm. let me show you video from inside the warehouse. someone called for help about 40 minutes ago and as firefighters told us, a large homeless encampment. those people have scattered. i'm told no injuries related to the fire. the call for help came in about 40 minutes ago, firefighters say they were able to extinguish it within ten minutes. however, this is not the first time they've had a fire here at the abandoned cash and carry building. they say several fires have caused holes in the roof. it's an incredibly dangerous fire for firefighters to battle. it's dangerous for the homeless who have taken up enkarnment --
