not as safe as they should be. >> the fbi says it took three days for him to turn himself in after setting this fire at the chinese consulate in san francisco. >> he self-surrendered to officers at which time the fbi and san francisco police department took him into custody. >> reporter: investigators say he called 911 friday and told police that he made the fire. >> not going to comment on motive at this point in time. can't do it. >> the fbi says it was a criminal, not terrorist act. he told investigators he had been hearing voices and the chinese consulate had to have been involved. >> it will remain for a while till we know for sure this was just an isolated incident.

and hate crimes. prosecutors claim the victim was injured when they locked a bike lock around his neck. all four white students have been suspended. we know the name of a man found stabbed in a building on market street this morning. they identified the man as a 21- year-old. they found the victim stabbed to death inside the lobby of a building on market just before 3:30 a.m. this morning. police seeled off every exit and fire escape in the building. so far no arrests have been made. as we reported at 5:00 p.m. the brain dead 13-year-old from tonsillectomy is no longer at children's hospital. she has been moved to undisclosed catholic

targeted in a malware attack. thousands of users who go to yahoo.com were infected with malware through the advertising service. it could leave your computer vulnerable to hackers. they are blocking the infected advertisements. most of the attacks were limited to europe. target is hosting job fairs this week as it looks to hire hundreds of people for a store in south san jose. the store opens in march. the goal is to hire 300 people. job fairs will be held on thursday and friday. and then on saturday, at the work to future building in san jose. on wall street today the dow, s&p and nasdaq all closed lower. the dow is down 44 to 16,425., the s&p is down 4 to 1,826. the nasdaq is down 18 at 4,113.

firefighters are battling with winter wildfire. 358 acres burned since two days ago. containment is 40%. 16 members of a strike team are helping battle the flames. no word on how the fire started but the leader says dry conditions are partially to blame. major disruptions for air travelers. 3800 flights were canceled across the country today. hundreds of people are stuck, including ktvu's noelle walker, she sent this picture in chicago where she has been stranded since yesterday. temperatures in chicago hit 14 degrees below zero this afternoon. a lot of clouds out here but no rain. there are showers in the bay area forecast but they are minimal at best. you see green north of here. up here. this area, north of us, they
