shows up on facebook. >> it's a place for giant waves and daredevils trying -- >> to run out of the way. >> why this is one wave you don't want to mess with. >> a bachelor party goes haywire when one man managed to make himself over to this hillside with a lady. how his buddies breck that up real quick. this fire rescue video from the ukraine shows the very definition of holding on for dear life. a fire broke out at a jewelry factory on the fourth floor, but i want you to look up there. you see those bodies? those are people hanging on for dear life. they're waiting to be rescued. there are actually five people clinging here. >> this is desperation here, this is last resort. i imagine now their fingers are probably starting to burn. how long can they hold on? >> not only are there fingers starting to burn the firefighters get the hose out and spraying them, but if you are holding on for dear life you

probably don't want the water on them because you don't want them to slip and fall and that's what happened to one of the people hanging from the left side of the building. >> ooh. >> that ladder captain get there fast enough. come on. >> yeah, it's just high enough where you're going to get hurt if you jump down, you know. if it was the floor below or maybe the second floor they could just jump down. >> look at the ladders they have put up, they are there but not long enough to reach these people. >> they are not long enough to reach these people but i want you to pay attention to this man here lower on the left side, do you notice there's a window open beneath him. that ladder is up underneath him, a firefighter starts climbing up but that man is not waiting for the firefighter. he drops his body down and watch him rescue himself. he climbs into that window. >> he gets away, but there's that o guy still on topf t ac to get help and the flames are right next to him. >> what's taking that ladder so long? >> you do see the ladder does

come into play getting that second man down. he finally is able to climb down. in all 22 people were rescued, but unfortunately 8 people perished in this fire. >> wow. >> safety violations were cited as the cause of this fire, so that means somebody is going to be in a whole lot of trouble. many of us hold police officers to a higher standard. we believe that they should follow the same rules that we do. this video of a bolingbrook, illinois, police officer appears to show him playing video poker while driving down the highway during rush hour on unplowed snowy roads according to the person that shot this video. >> how do you know it's poker because a lot of times they do have the screens up, like, cruiser will have laptops right in the middle there. >> they are always on generally when they're on patrol. >> true. and it's hard to make out exactly what is on the screen but the woman shooting this video claims she clearly sees this officer playing video

poker. >> i don't think you're going to be able to actually see that he is indeed playing video poker. >> the video was enough to kawls the bolingbrook police department to start an internal investigation in to this incident. they felt it was a serious enough offense that they needed to look into it some more. >> it's hard to tell from this video because it's so wobbly. >> granted if he was doing that, yeah, it's good there's an investigation going on. but it's hard to tell from this video. >> maybe she saw with her own eyes but when she tried to shoot it with the camera, it's hard to come through. when i see it, it's hard to tell it's video poker. >> the department is not releasing the officer's name yet but in this freeze frame it doesn't look like it's the typical text read-out on that you see on a laptop in a patrol car, the investigation under way as to what's actually going on. it sounds like they believe this indeed happened. >> what makes me suspicious of that confirms that they are

really investigate this, they won't release his name. like, they won't release his name? hmm. >> you can tell that he's playing video poker right now. he is. this video was captured on a lighthouse in france. you can see the waves are very strong. now this guy in the description of the video said that he's been coming to this area for ten years. he considers himself an expert. he knows where to go to protect himself from the waves, from the water. you can see when the waves hit, he takes cover in this. >> it looks like he's stuck under a waterfall. >> but he does also say this is a prohibited area. you are not supposed to be there, and there are many signs to specify to stay out, but some people did not pay attention to that over the weekend. this is another video from that same lighthouse. and if you notice the waves are just as powerful as you see in that other video which was captured one day before this video. >> there's people standing right

where the wave broke over. >> there are actually two men and one woman that are walking there as this wave comes in. >> ooh, that's a big wave. >> a huge wave. and you immediately see them trying to run out of the way. one of those guys manages to run up those stairs into safety, surviving that wave, but if you notice when this wave recedes, the other two people are now in the water. >> oh, yeah. you can see them right there in that circle. >> you see two black dots in the water. the man was in there for about 20 minutes. was able to get himself to the shore. and he was taken to the hospital. the woman went missing. and even though they tried to use a helicopter to try to locate her, they've yet to find her. they do believe they drowned. witnesses that were there did yell at these guys to get out of the way, telling them that it was very dangerous. and the poster of that first video also says sometimes amateurs go thinking they're going to get a thrill out of it, and he does warn them it is incredibly dangerous unless you know what you're doing.

what better time than now to dust off the old snowmobile. you see guys out ripping it up. the guy in front you see decides, i'm going to head up this hill. i'll see if i'll make it up there. guys like to do that kind of thing. but as he goes up his buddy keeps the camera on him. and as fast as he goes up, he starts to come down. gets caught in a mini avalanche, the snowmobile by itself rolling down the hill. the guy with the camera speeds over to find his friend, right there in the snow. you see him? kind of buried waving his arms. >> it didn't look like there was a potential for an avalanche there. >> it looked like untouched snow and a lot of times when you blaze that trail through the untouched snow, it ruffles up a bunch of the other snow and causes the avalanche. the guy was kind of just okay. but now the work begins. because you can see that polaris snowmobile is right in there in the snow and it looks like they

close call after close call after close call for the driver of this camry on the other side of the freeway. >> what are they doing? >> why not just pull over? >> you would think, right? the driver doesn't stop. and it looks hike he does speed up. some reports say he was driving

anywhere between 35 and 45 miles an hour. and doesn't stop. there's a lot of traffic coming in his direction. the people recording the video in this car are very afraid that this guy is going to hit something. in fact, they brace for impact. >> oh! >> the amount of lives put at risk in this video. >> aren't you amazed by how far he's gotten? >> oh, [ bleep ], oh! >> fortunately that driver doesn't hit anyone. at this point you see that there is an officer trying to pull that driver over. the video ends before we see what happens. but that driver is pulled over. it turns out that was an 80-year-old man that suffers from early stages of dementia. had apparently not been driving for months. somehow borrowed this car. dropped his wife off at church in the morning. was trying to find his way home. lost his way and found himself driving in the wrong direction of this freeway. the man is 80-year-old joseph doserly was taken to a hospital, examined and his family does say

that he will not be allowed to drive at all, ever. that's a cuteness alert from some dudes around the world. we start in toronto. this is a polar bear baby and this polar bear is being taught how to eat out of a dish. first time eating out of a dish, so it needs to be taught. as you can see some milky substance is poured into a dish. >> like an ice cream or milted milk shake. >> i think it's probably some kind of milk something because it is a baby polar bear. >> he's so young and he's so wobbly, he's trying to figure out what his paws are in the first place. >> he does have a balance issue. >> ahh. >> just learning the ways of the world and trying to learn how to walk and there you see the little cub is, oh, wait, hey, it's, like, more of it. i can use my tongue to lick it up. >> does he get a coke afterwards? >> he doesn't get a coke but he did get a smile, so that's what's important. >> we move on down to the san diego zoo. this is a giraffe. when she was born she was 6'1"

and 157 pounds. glad humans don't produce like that. she was only ten days old when this video was shot. she was born on december 22nd, but, again, ten days old running around the paddock. this is when she was first released to the paddock. >> lost her footing! >> got a little extra confident there. >> baby animals, they got to get up right away. this one the first day in a pen, she's running around having a good time then. >> the kisses on mom, that's too cute for words. >> when she's 6 months old the estimation is she'll be 7'7" so the lakers could use her. you've got kids and you tell them just go play out in the yard. you might wind up with a pro. a pro rollerblader. that's the story of wake shepman. the fam ily lived in pennsylvania. and back in 2010, wake helped build this backyard skate park. he designed it. his dad helped him build it.

to become an expert at rollerblading. fast-forward now to this past summer. the family decides they're going to move from pennsylvania down to florida. so instead of just trash this skate park completely, they decided to reconfigure and reuse the wood and make what they called a mini megaramp. >> oh. >> all right? back in july they finished this thing. you noticed this ramp is set up over the family backyard pool. so, here's wake's first attempt back in july. ♪ >> oh. >> and splash down. >> right in the pool. >> so close. doesn't quite make it. so, they try again throughout the day. by the end of the day, wake gets to the other side of this pool. and now it's september moving time, last chance to use this ramp for a jump. by the end of the summer in september look at what their kid's doing over the pool. he's not only clearing the pool, but he's pulling tricks over this pool. >> he ends up on the roof of the house! >> on the patio roof.

when you travel to really cool places, you want to document. that's the thing. you got to keep the memory. but this guy who is going to be in china studying mandarin for roughly three months, the way he documented his trip was just like this. ♪ he just danced all over china, wherever he went -- ♪ -- he's dancing to bruno mars'

and this shows all the cool places where he got to go. the extreme temperatures creating things that we normally don't see, like this first video of a guy snowmobiling down the highway. this is i-94 in detroit, michigan. the guy getting along pretty good because there's really no traction for the cars. >> clever. >> it is clever. and not potentially illegal, actually. we looked at the laws and you can ride on byways. there are some caveats, mainly you're supposed to stay to the right. you're supposed to stay out of the way of other cars. this guy looked like he was on the left but there was nobody out there, so who is going to care. >> this is an extreme circumstances. i imagine it would be a good vehicle to help stranded people. check out this weather phenomenon from lake michigan. those are ice actually ice balls. i talked to a weather man friend of mine and he said it's ice broken up into chunks and it gets pushed against the

shoreline in waves and it causes it to roll and collect more ice because it's so cold and it turns into these jeent balls of ice. looks like boulders. and the last thing you never want to see is somebody trying to lick a metal pole when it's really cold out like the scene from "christmas story." this is posted on the youtube channel of jason avalon and he does a very interesting trick here, he uses a hot dog instead of his actual tongue. >> what do you think is going to happen when you pull it off? >> ow. >> it's stuck there. it's actual stuck on there. do you dare me? >> no! >> no! >> he's not going to do it. he's just messing with us. >> i don't think so. never lick metal. a buddy aauht in a hillside. so now these guys get the bright idea. >> got all these fireworks here. what should we do next? >> how they literally felt a spark after this one.

over a month away, so this is a good time to have jacobson strap on a go pro to his helmet and show us the art of the ski jumping. as you can see here he'll make a very long, very cold jump. >> he's got a camera on some sort of arm or something, right? >> pointing back at him. i love that perspective. >> at one point you think where is this camera exactly, because when he starts his jump you don't see anything strapped to his head. i'm thinking it's acrylic and white or they might have edited it out. >> they might have been able to do that. that's an awesome shot. do you know what i'm waiting for, i'm waiting for one of these guys to put a wind suit on, jump and really sky it out. they really are flying. those skis are like airplane wings. and it's neat watch when he leaves the ramp you see how he gently puts his arms out and guide himself. >> it makes it look easy. he's so graceful. >> and his face is at peace, no
