gave thunder and lightning out towards fairfield, sacramento valley. that's gone. everything is zipping off to the south rapidly even up in the sierra. it's a cooler air mass spilling in. we had a little bit of rain, emphasize on little. the drought index, not a budge. now exceptional for parts of southern california. if you think it's dry, it has been. driest january ever in san francisco. upper 30s, 40s. temperatures noticeably cooler. we lose the cloud cover, we get more of a northwest breeze. all of the cloud cover on its way to southern california out of here. we have clear skies today and tomorrow and then sunday's system will give us clouds. sunny, breezy. highs upper 50s, low 60s. we're exactly where we should be. this time of year on the temperatures in the afternoon. they've been way above but today they will settle in. about 57, 62. here's sal. all right. we're getting more information about this caltrain incident. our newschopper2 is overhead, where a train has hit a

pedestrian near the redwood city station here. that station is closed. samtrans has put up a bus bridge and they are ferrying passengers between san carlos and redwood city. if you are a -- if you are a caltrain passenger, samtrans will honor your tickets but the trains have stopped moving in this area because a train has struck a pedestrian. now, one of the things we want to mention, all train service in the area has turned back to local. there are no more express trains. this will cause major delays on the system. our reporter is just arriving on the scene. we'll figure out what happened and let you know as soon as we can. let's go to the bay bridge toll plaza. we had an earlier crash on the upper deck of the bay bridge. that was gone in about 20 minutes but the damage is done. we have about a 25-minute wait before you actually get into san francisco. i do want to mention, some traffic on this morning is better than it normally is. you look at the altamont pass. we don't have a lot of slow

traffic here. as we push into the nimitz freeway, we have some traffic but it's not that severe. back to the desk. new this morning -- frightening moments in santa clara. an early-morning fire broke out in a home located a few blocks from the new 49er stadium. quick-thinking neighbors may have prevented a tragedy. ktvu's janine de la vega joins us live with some exclusive new video. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. investigators have been walking around the house looking for any clues to how this started. earlier when was darker, they were shining flashlights looking for evidence. any want to learn how this started. it spread quickly destroying the car parked in the driveway. as you can see, gutting this home. here is some exclusive video that we obtained of the fire taken before firefighters arrived. you can see flames were shooting from the garage and the second floor of the house

located here. four people lived there and escaped before fire crews arrived at 1:25 a.m. firefighters worked to knock it down. after 40 minutes they were able to get it under control. neighbors say they threw rocks at the house to try to wake up those inside. but later realized those people were out of the house. some residents were evacuated as a precaution. >> i could actually feel the flames from the front of my house. i was just hoping that they were able to get out, if anybody was in there. >> reporter: concerned it would spread? >> oh, absolutely. i actually grabbed my garden hose and started to hose down the roof of my house. >> reporter: one woman who lived at the home suffered burns and was taken to the hospital. she's being interviewed by police as part of the investigation done in conjunction with the fire department to determine the cause of the fire. neighbors tell me that the burn victim was parked down the street before firefighters

arrived. she was honking the horn of a car. they tell me they thought it was peculiar because neighbors say when they called 911, the operator said no one reported to call it in yet. we're told there's a woman who rents a woman. we're unsure if that's the burn victim. firefighters say they will spend a good portion of the day here again. they need to investigate and they are saying it could take days for them to come up with a cause. reporting live from santa clara, janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you, janine. 7:06. also new this morning, a commercial truck hitting a building in san francisco. newschopper2 flew over the scene a half-hour ago. police say the accident was not serious as the truck was going at a she rate of speed when it hit a maintenance yard building on the 2300 block of cesar chavez. only the driver sustained minor injuries. it's unclear at this time what caused the accident. 7:06. we have new information now on an officer-involved shooting in

vacaville. ktvu's cameras were there just moments at this move's giv. investigators say the driver of a silver honda tried to ram police officers with his car. police then opened fire. they wounded a passenger in that car. that passenger is expected to survive. police say the incident happened after the suspects were involved in a disturbance in a nearby bar. san francisco police say two people were wounded in the potrero hill neighborhood last night. it happened at the turner housing project near interstate 280. investigators say the two victims were shot several times and they were taken to san francisco general hospital. we don't know their condition or what led up to the gunfire. san mateo county's tattoo removal program will relaunch today after a hiatus. former gang members were able to get rid of unwanted tattoos free of charge. but the program ended two years ago when a laser tattoo removal

machine broke. recently county officials were able to buy a new machine thanks to donations from the community. a grand reopening ceremony is set for 1:00 this afternoon at the police activities league in redwood city. it is 7:07. with dangerously low snow levels in the mountains and very little rain here, the governor is again stressing the importance of conserving water. the governor is asking people to turn off water while brushing your teeth and to not flush more than you have to. brown declared a state drought emergency this month and called on all californians to reduce their water usage by 20%. officials say 2013 was also the state's driest calendar year since records started being kept. a trivalley water company is asking about 200,000 customers to voluntary reduce water usage because of california's drought. according to the contra costa times, the zone 7 7 water

agencies wants its customers to match the governor's request and reduce water by about 20%. east bay m.u.d., which serves a million people in alameda and contra costa county, is scheduled to set its conservation goals on february 11th. 7:09. well, only light rain overnight in the south bay. and there is a chance of snow today in the sierra. take a look at what it was like driving on highway 50 yesterday afternoon. now, this is at one of the caltrans chain control stops. by the end of this storm, there could be as much as 2 feet of new snow at the higher elevations. skiers loved it. snowboarders, ski resorts like it. they've been trying to keep the slopes covered. the sierra at tahoe says they've only had 68 inches of snow this winter compared to 480 inches in a normal year. but despite the new snow, the state's snowpack survey, it is

at its lowest january level since 1960. experts say there's little chance that melting snow this spring will relieve our drought. yesterday, snow survey shows california's snowpack is just 12% of the yearly average. 7:09. happening today -- classmates of a south bay figure skater heading to the olympics, polina edmunds, they will send her off in high school. brian floor -- brian flores is live at the high school. >> reporter: how many of us get to say our friend or classmate is heading to the olympics. we're all rooting for polina edmunds as she makes her way to the licks. here at the school, they plan to have a special sendoff srnl and assembly in a couple of hours from now. there many friends and training partners wished her good luck. the 15-year-old olympian did final preparations before competing in the 2014 winter games. she's taking three weeks worth of homework with wher. this young lady is staying focused. she's excited for the olympics as well. >> i'm just training as i always have been just like it's for any other competition. it just so happens to be for the olympics. yeah. it's pretty cool and once i get there, i'm just really excited to experience everything that the olympics has to offer. >> reporter: she's a sophomore here and the first student to make it to the olympics while attending to school. other athletes like kerry walsh and brandy chastain all went to the olympics as well. but after they were graduated. the sendoff begins at 9:00 and then off to russia.

the olympics begin next thursday with the figure skating competition which et mundz could be part of -- edmunds could be part of. brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. 7:11. yahoo! says it's resetting the passwords on many e-mail accounts after a cyber attack. they say user names and passwords were pussed to access accounts. it's not saying how many accounts were broken into. yahoo! says it is taking other steps to prevent further attacks and it sis it's working with federal -- it is working to federal officials to track down who is behind the attack. no problem here. wait until you hear why the doctor of the man who killed 12 people at the washington navy yard last year didn't realize his patient had mental problems. more trouble.

his post state of the union push meeting with ceos from major koermrations to -- corporations to ask for help in putting the long-termed unemployed back to work. this morning's meeting follows two days of appears -- of appearances. yesterday, he signed an executive order on job training. on wednesday, another executive order was signed to create a new government-backed retirement savings account. there's new information regarding the deadly campaign last year at the washington navy yard. a review of the medical file shows that the gunman aaron alex just, repeatedly lied to his doctors at the veterans affairs department. he was so convincing, they gave him a clean bill of health and said he had no mental health issues despite sefern encounters with police. he did complain of minor pains but denied any suicidal or

homicidal thoughts. he killed 12 people before a police officer shot and killed him. law enforcement all over the plar bay area will be out in full force cauking down on drivers and football fans because of the super bowl. whether you are at a bar or hosting a party, law enforcement eakses are telling -- agencies are telling everybody to have a sober driver. they say they know people will be drinking a lot during the super bowl. they plan to have dui checkpoints set up all over the bay area. let's focus on the driving right now. sal, you got newschopper2 up and about. where is it looking at? >> we're looking at the caltrain incident. i just got an e-mail from one of the public information officers. caltrain is single tracking through the redwood city station. trains are local to san jose. trains are turning at menlo park and san carlos on the northbound. this what's happening. this is because at -- at 6:15, caltrain number 305 struck and

7:23. for the second time this week, there's been an outbreak of a highly contagious stomach bug on a cruise ship. the princess cruise ship docked at the port of houston late last night one day earlier than it was supposed to. 160 passengers and ten crew members reportedly fell ill from what is suspected to be the norovirus. the princess cruise was sailing in the caribbean. earlier this week, another cruise ship, the royal caribbean, was forced to cut its trip short after 700 people on board got sick. governor brown's wife, ann, said she went out to get a flu shot after hearing a 47-year- old woman in sacramento died

from the flu. she tweeted after reading the heartbreaking story of nancy, i went to cvs and got my first flu shot ever. reportedly, she was in perfect health at the beginning of the year but started to feel sick. a week later, she went to see her doctor and was hospitalized. she died last saturday and she did not get a flu shot. well, doctors still encourage everyone to get vaccinated for the flu. they say february is the peak of the flu season and that it's not unusual for a second wave to hit in march or even april. by our account, there have been 32 flu-related deaths in the bay area so far. 95 in all of california. some updated numbers are due to be released at 10:30 this morning. a school district in salt lake city, utah is apologizing after some of its elementary school students had their school lunches thrown out because money was owed on their

food accounts. >> we want lunch! >> yep, tori. 32 of the students held this rally demanding their lunches back. officials say it was an honest mistake on their part. those $2 lunches were taken from the children on tuesday as they went up to the checkout counters. the parents are furious. they say it was humiliating and demoralizing for the students. >> my daughter called me during her lunch hour crying say she couldn't eat lunch over $4 and i was never even notified she was in the negative. >> now, the parents had even more reason to be mad. they found out the students whose lunches were taken away, they were given fruit and milk instead. 7:26. a palo alto police officer comes to the rescue of a drowning man. why this was not your typical rescue. we're following the breaking news out of redwood city, where a caltrain hit and killed a pedestrian this morning. commute. not bad. the drive times are pretty good into downtown oakland from here, three, four minutes probably the best you will do. bay bridge toll plaza, that's improving a little bit. highway 4, baypoint, still getting some slow traffic. let's go back to the desk. new this morning, we are learning that a police officer on the peninsula rescued a wanted felon who almost drowned in a creek. this happened tuesday in palo alto. police say the officer chased that suspect into the creek after a foot chase. investigators say the suspect almost drowned while trying to get away. that's when the officer jumped into the water, pulled the suspect back to safety. the suspect identified as lee james daniels was wanted for a felony probation violation warrant as well as other charges. 7:32. max wade will spend his first full day at san quentin prison today. the marin county teen was convicted last october of

pulling alongside a pickup truck and shooting into it several times. he was convicted of attempted murder as well as stealing a lamborghini belonging to a celebrity chef from a san francisco auto dealership. wade was given a life sentence and will spend at least the next 90 days at san quentin. the marin county sheriff's office investigated wade for the murder of 75-year-old joan rose enthaul. she was killed -- rosenthal. she was killed five years ago outside of her home in tiburon. he ran 54 searches on rosenthal's murder on his computer and there are reports that he joked about the murder. so far there's not not enough evidence to charge him or anyone else in the case. the search goes on this morning for a patient who walked out of san francisco general hospital last night. police say 34-year-old valerie gates was wearing a bandage around her neck when she left the hospital after surgery. she was wearing a green jacket

and burgundy pants. police say gates is homeless and smendz a lot of time in the -- smendz a lot of time in the -- spends a lot of time in the tenderloin area. 57-year-old lynn spaulding was found dead in a hospital stairwell there last october, 17 days after she was reported missing. that tragedy led to a security over haul at sf general. police in richmond this morning are telling us more about a case that's drawing comparisons to the story of jc dugard. investigators say a woman spent 15 years being sexually abused and held captive at the home of a family family in north richmond. the -- family member in north richmond. police accuse the man of holding her captive since she was 12 years old and sexually assaulting her two, three times a week. she was able to escape when she

was 27 years old. >> the psychological abuse and the physical abuse, the sexual abuse kept her in a mentally, unfortunately, that she's still, you know, just considered to be a child. >> police say the victim like jaycee dugard never went to school and was imprisoned in a backyard ched. the man has pleaded guilty to several sex crimes against a minor. under the plea deal he's expected to spend 20 years in prison. 7:35. people in the east bay got a chance to hear about a proposal to turn a section of 680 into a toll road. plans call for lanes between san ramon and walnut creek to be turned into combination h.o.v. and toll lanes called express lanes. at a presentation in san ramon, transportation officials announced that the era of building freeways is over. now it's time to make the roads that are already in place operate more efficiently.

the express lanes would be free for the same cars currently allowed in h.o.v. lanes but solo drivers would be charged. a similar express lane is on south 680. plans call for the new lanes to start opening next year. and starting on monday, it will costing you to park at the larkspur ferry terminal. the golden gate transportation district plans to start charging $2 for parking. anyone who does not pay can expect a $45 fine. monthly passes are being offered for $20. weekends and some holidays will be free. the district expects to take in about $400,000 a year. 7:36. happening today -- you know we're just a couple of days away from the super bowl, super bowl xlviii. all eyes are on the new york/new jersey area leading up to the big game. in two years, the super bowl will be coming to the bay area. as alex savidge tells us a group of local organizers flew

back east. they are taking notes on how things are going at the super bowl. >> reporter: well, good morning, dave. well, a lot of people are in new york right now to enjoy the fun and fest tiferns leading up to -- festivities leading up to the game. members of the bay area super bowl host committee are there on a serious research mission. they spent the past week in the big apple getting a crash course on some of the best ways to host america's biggest sporting events. the goal is to be ready for 2016 when the super bowl is held at leavey stadium. san francisco will host most of the events connected to the name, including the nfl experience. the head of the host committee said it's a similar situation in new york where the game is being played across the river in new jersey. but all of the parties are in manhattan. local organizers are hoping to learn about the logistics of moving hundreds of thousands of visitors across a spread out region and are looking for ways

stocks have opened the trading day with a big plunge. investors fretting over a string of disappointing earning reports. amazon is down more than 8% after the online retailer reported earnings that fell short of expectations and san ramon-based chevron is down 4%. profits fell in the fourth quarter. the dow is down 207. the nasdaq down 39. s&p down 18. time is 7:44. toyota has issued an order to its dealerships to stop selling some of the automakers's top bland. this comes as the -- brands. this comes as they try to replace seats not up to standards. 2013, and 2014 camry, avalon, sienna and tacoma as well as the corolla and tundra with heated sites are all affected. toyota says there have been no reports of fire or injuries and customers say they are still

confident their vehicles are safe. >> i think as long as they rectify the situation, i think it's fine. >> at this point, there's no recall and no word on how long the stop-sell order will remain in place. 7:44. new information from italy about the latest verdict in the amanda knox murder case. a short time ago, the family of murder victim merry dilt kercher praised an italian court because they found amanda knox and her ex-boyfriend guilty. kercher was knox's roommate when she was murdered. knox was convicted. it was later overturned. she's back in seattle. knox calls the verdict unjust. in the meantime, her former boyfriend, sentenced to 25 years in jail, was captured trying to escape from italy. it's not known if amanda knox will be extradited back to italy. back in this country, the atlanta, georgia area slowly

recovering from this week's winter storm. however, the state of emergency is in effect through sunday night. many school districts are closed today. hundred of drivers who abandoned their cars are getting their cars back now. they couldn't move them off snow-blocked highways earlier. the emergency declaration allows the state of georgia to continue using resources to help local governments clear those roads and deal with other storm-reef lated problems. it also helps the recovery effort. what's theying is the fact it's -- what's helping it's getting warmer. temperatures should reach the mid-50s today. tomorrow thousands of giants' fans will pack at&t park for the annual fan fest. the event is free. and gives fans the chance to interact with players and coaches before they head off to arizona for spring training. a total of 29 players and coaches are scheduled to appear, including fan favorites, buster posey, matt cain and sergio romo.

risk. the head of the tsa has rejected an idea that would arm tsa security officers. tsa chief was at l.a.x. to announce the opening of an el rollment center where passengers can submit information for a faster screening. the chief responded said he rejected the idea of arming tsa agents at security gates. shortly after the shooting at l.a.x., a union representing 25,000 agents called for the creation of armed officers. if you fly in and out of sfo, expect big delays later this spring. starting in may, sfo will close two of its four runways to perform safety work ordered by the government. arriving an departing flights will share the longer runways which have already been extended to meet faa

northbound that hit and killed the woman. the trains have been single tracking through and train service is running. these pictures are taken earlier from newschopper2. caltrain along with the authorities showed up and pronounced the woman dead on the scene. a lot of passengers have already been taken away by buses. this is going to cause delay on caltrain until they finish their investigation. in fact, the caltrain spokesperson said the delays are likely to last until noon. >> let's take a look at the bay bridge. it's cleared out. and this is good news because earlier this morning, we had a crash on the upper deck of the bay bridge. i think if it were a tuesday, we'd still have a backup. since it is friday. there's a lighter than usual commute. on the peninsula, 101, more cars there. there was a crash at whip. i would use 280 as a good alternate. let's go back to the desk. >> thank you, sal. a fire ripped through a

house behind the new 49ers stadium in santa clara earlier this morning. the people inside escape. but there are questions about how the fire started. ktvu's janine de la vega joins us live from santa clara with exclusive new video. >> reporter: good morning. well, now that the fire is out. it switched to investigative mode. you can see investigators here, they've been walking around and listen on their hands and knees going through debris from this house. they are looking for what might have caused the fire. they've also collected video that neighbors took of when the fire first started. now, let's go to some exclusive video that we obtained of the fire taken before firefighters arrived. you can see flames are shooting from the garage and a second floor of the house. four people live there and escaped before fire crews at rivled at 1:20 a.m. firefighters worked to knock it down. after 40 minutes they were able to get it under control. neighbors threw rocks to try to wake up those inside.

but they later realized those people were out of the house. people who live next door were evacuated as a precaution, they were worried about the neighbors. >> when i first looked outside of the window, the fire was in the driveway in front of the car but it quickly spread to the house. >> i kept telling him do something do something. he was throwing rocks. the fire was moving so fast. i was scared the van in the driveway was gonna blow up. >> reporter: one woman who liveled at the home suffered burns and she was taken to the hospital. she is being interviewed by police as part of the investigation done by the fire department to determine the cause of the fire. we're told an elderly woman lived in the home. she's recently put the house up for sale. that's also a woman who rents a room there. it's unclear if she is the one who suffered the burns. fire investigators we're told will be out here, a good portion of the day. they want to be thorough. so they can get to the bottom of this. reporting live from santa clara, janine de la vega, ktvu

channel 2 news. new information about an officer-involved shooting in vacaville just hours ago. our ktvu camera was on the scene moments after the gunfire this morning on leisure town road. investigators say the driver of a silver honda tried to ram police officers with his car. police then opened fire. that wounded a passenger in the car. the wounded passenger is expected to survive. police say the incident happened after the suspects were involved in a disturbance in a nearby bar. san francisco police say two people were wounded last night in the potrero hill neighborhood. it happened at turner terrance housing project near interstate 280. investigators say it appears the two victims were shot several times. they were taken to san francisco general hospital. we don't know their condition. it's still not clear what led up to the gunfire. 8:05. the santa clara county sheriff's office has released images of a spn suspected of stealing copper wire at a san

the state's snowpack is at its lowest january level since 1960. experts say there's little chance of melting snow this spring will help our drought problem. yesterday's snow survey shows california snowpack is at just 12% of the annual average. >> statewide, the driest on record, we're quite a bit below that at this location. >> they measure the amount of water in the snow. one area shows it was .4 inches. it -- it needs to be 18. the northern region reported just 6% of normal snowpack. the central region reported 15%. the southern region, 14%. with dangerously low snow levels in the mountains and little rain here. the governor is once again

stressing the importance of conserving water. the governor is now asking people it to turn off water while brushing teeth and to not flush more than you have to. brown declared a state emergency drought and called on californians to reduce with the water usage by 20%. they say 2013 was the driest calendar year since record started being kept. a trivalley water company is the latest to ask its 200 customers to voluntarily reduce water usage because of the drought. according to the contra costa times, the zone 7 water agency wants its customers in pleasanton, dublin, san ramon and livermore to match the governor's request and reduce water by about 20%. east bay m.u.d. which serves over a million people in alameda and contra costa county is scheduled to set its conservation goals on february 11th. well, happening today, the classmates of a young figure

los angeles. new york city police have announced a multi-million dollar drug and prostitution bust. the big bust comes days before sunday's super bowl in nearby new jersey. police took eight teenaged suspects into custody. they are accused of selling cocaine and sex as a package deal. new york police and the u.s. department of homeland security made the arrest after an 11- month investigation. the super bowl typically attracts criminal activity with a huge amount of tourists. 8:21. it may be chilly in the bay area this weekend but a naked rally is planned in san francisco. the reason there may be a last- minute change of plans. a big makeover is about to get underway at a local airport when you can expect big delays at sfo.

up. people quite anxious to get to work. the congestion has eased. no trains are stopping here at the redwood city station. they are single tracking from san carlos to atherton. this deadly pedestrian accident happened about two hours ago. from witness accounts it does not appear to be an accident. >> at about 6:15 an adult female stepped off the platform in front of 305. we're investigating the incident. at the moment our first priority is trying to get service back on schedule. >> reporter: now, sam trains is providing a bus bridge. if you are trying to get to redwood city this morning, head to one of the stations in san carlos, menlo park or atherton and they will shuttle you here. this -- this is important. riders in san francisco must board trains in either direction from the san francisco platform. the coroner has just removed the body we're told and hazmat crews still need to arrive so the investigation and clearing. scene will last through noon today. definitely give yourself some

extra time this morning. we have been told by a caltrans spokesperson that they have to review the video on the train in order to make sure that this was an intentional act and not something that was accidental. live from redwood city, i'm tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. also new this morning we are finding out about a police officer on the peninsula who rescued a wanted felon who almost drowned in a creek this week. it happened tuesday in palo alto. police say the officer chased that suspect into a creek after a foot chase. the suspect almost drowned trying to escape. that's when the officer jumped into the water and pulled the suspect pack to safety. the suspect identified as lee james daniels was wanted for a felony probation violation warrant as well as other charges. max wade is spending his first full day at san quentin prison today. the marin county teen was convicted last october of pulling alongside a pickup truck and shooting into it several times. he was convicted of attempted

murder as well as stealing a lamborghini belonging to celebrity chef guy fieri. he was given a life sentence and will spend at least the next 90 days at san quentin. the marin county sheriff's office also investigated wade for the possible murder of joan row sen shall. sheem was killed five years ago outside -- she was killed five years ago outside of her home. wade performed hundreds of internet searches for the crimes he was convicted of and ran 54 searches on her murder. there are also reports that he joked about the murder. there's not enough evidence to charge him or anyone else in the case. san francisco nudists are getting ready for a busy weekend. tomorrow they will mark the first anniversary of a big day in their fight to take off their clothes. one year ago, police arrested three naked activists protesting the new ban on public nudity. a federal judge ruled in 2013

president obama talking about his meeting earlier this morning with some major ceos at the white house. let's listen in. >> unemployed the longest, often have the toughest time getting back to work. it's a cruel catch 22. the longer you're unemployed, the more unemployable you may seem. this is an illusion but it's one that unfortunately we know statistically is happening out there. according to one study, if you have been out of work eight months, you're likely to get called back for an interview only about half as often as if you have been out of work one month. even with the identical resume. >> so as you can hear, the president has been asking the ceos to make sure their hiring practices don't discriminate against people who have been unemployed for a long time. certainly something that wall street is keeping a close eye on and wall street is still lower but not quite as bad as

being compared to jaycee dugard. a woman was held captive in a north richmond home for 15 years and was sellually abused -- sexually abused. police say the defendant held the girl captive since she was 12 years old. and sexually assaulted her two, three times a week. the woman finally esdapped in august of 2012 when she was 27 years old. the psychological abuse and the physical abuse, the sexual abuse kept her in a mentally that she's still, you know, just considered to be a child. now, police say the victim just like jaycee dugard never went to school and was imprisoned in a backyard shed. the man pleaded guilty to several sex crimes against a minor. under the plea deal he's expected to spend 22 years in prison. his sentencing is set for february 11th. toyota has issued an order to its dealerships to stop selling some of their top brands as the company tries to work out how to replace seats

that are not up to federal safety standards. the 2013 and 2014 camry, avalon, sienna and tacoma as well as the 24014 corolla and tundra with heated seats are all affected. toyota says there have been no reports of fire or injuries. at this point, there's no recall and no word on how long the stop-sell order will remain in close. people in the east bay got a chance last night to hear about a proposal to turn an often congested section of 680 into a toll road. plans call for lanes between san ramon and walnut creek to be turned into combination hov and toll lanes called expression lanes. at a presentation in san ramon, transportation officials announced that the era of building freeways is over and it's now time to make the roads that are already in place operate more efficiently. the express lanes would be free for the same cars currently allowed in h.o.v. lanes but so low drivers would
