back to the desk. this morning a man and woman were stabbed on the embarcadero what did you find out? >> reporter: we are here between piers 5 and 7 and police just cleared out 5 minutes ago. the stabbing took place near the waterfront restaurant, this morning police concluded at least for here but they are looking for at least one suspect. at least one of the victims, this is the female victim who was stabbed around 4:00 a.m. this morning, according to police, two people may have been homeless were just hanging out near the pier and one of the suspects stabbed him. he was able to make it to the corner where he was taken away by ambulance and he is in critical condition this morning. the female is stabbed on the

napa. the suspects are the little girl's mother and the mother's boyfriend. alex savage has more. that tragedy is bringing that community together? >> reporter: well, it certainly is and before the little girl was killed napa police had visited on a number of occasions and in fact they were here last week and officers never had any reason to believe this girl was in any danger. these were the steps and there is a member more you' all and this was the scene as friends and neighbors found her. the body was found and showed signs of blunt force trauma.
