that owner fled the scene trying to get to his car to go get help. turns out, he's a diver. the wife gets on the phone, calls him up, he puts on his diving suit and is in the water, not ten minutes after this dog ended up falling through the ice. >> that's a really long time for that dog to be in there and freezing cold water. >> man, there's a few moments there where he's almost going under. >> looks like the dog almost gave up as he came around the corner. >> surrendered into his arms. >> watch. he's able to lift the dog out on to the ice and the dog collapsed but they made sure the dog walked and kind of warmed itself up a little bit, walked all the way to the car. ovey's wife took the dog to the vet, the dog's tired but is doing well. by the time the owner got back to the lake, the dog was at the vet being taken care of. >> good work. >> told you. >> sometimes police will take you down or a regular citizen

who has had enough. start with the police in melbourne, australia. what you're seeing an attempted car theft. three bad guys have stolen an audi and ramming that blue car. that blue car, unmarked police car. >> you think it's backing up trying to escape? no, coming in a second time, trying to ram that blue car out of the way. then undercover detectives show up you see police screaming and yelling at them. >> [ bleep ]. >> guys didn't have a chance to get away because they were pepper sprayed you can hear their girlie screams. >> ahhhh. >> good gracious. >> good gracious, right. two of the three had to go to the hospital to be treated. one guy walked out, being treated on the scene. these guys tried to get away by driving through this fence. they tried to drive through and ram that blue car, undercover police car, out of the way. obviously, not the best method of a getaway. >> a good way to get yourself

caught if you steal a car, ramming into a police car, but then they're right there. >> what happened in this store? a bad decision for this criminal. >> a guy comes in with a very big knife. first the shop attendant thought the guy was joking but the guy kept demanding money, so the shop attendant brought out a bat. >> good. >> took one swing, just one swing. the guy's like, you know what? i -- i'm going to leave. so the bad guy walked away. he did get away. >> but he didn't get away with anything in his hands and they're looking for the guy who tried to hold them up. >> not the best disguise from that guy. >> looked like he cut the top of the turtleneck off and wore that on his face. two videos, intense fires. a newtown, pennsylvania, and this point you see firefighters are already there. the camera picks back up, the firefighters are going up to the attic. they've already fought the fire from the outside. now, they need to go and attack from the inside. you see there's a very red glow

in the staircase. they're working their way up. the camera pans over, you see the fire for a quick second. but the red glow is everywhere. >> you see tons of those document storage boxes, which is just fuel, fuel, fuel. >> turns out, this is actually a single family dwelling turned into a loft. >> oh, no. >> there was business being conducted at this place. >> hopefully they backed a bunch of that stuff up on the cloud. >> three engines ended up responding to the fire, cleing one ladder. they took care of it quickly. from newtown to los angeles, you see a couple of firefighters on the roof of this home, creating a vent to let the fire out. very quickly, it goes from just a little smoke to massive flames. >> oh. >> scary. how do you know you're not going to fall through? you're putting a hole in the roof, the roof could be weak you could fall through. >> you have to wonder, what if something goes wrong?
