hi, everybody, i'm beth troutman. if you want great videos, this is the show for you, "right this minute." a skydiver makes a jump, then looks around and goes -- >> ahh! >> the scary sight from a pilot's close call. >> flew right underneath our formation. >> wow. a bank robbery hits one big snag. >> a pretty wild story. >> see the twist when a customer reveals who he really is. amazing moves make it easy to see why -- >> this video has gone viral. >> see what drove one woman to become a dancing sensation.
9:31 am
>> it feels really freaking awesome. plus, the buzzword for your shot at a new ipad mini, and taking the turbopeel challenge. now see if nick can beat the clock, too. >> go, go, go, go! a terrifying close call thousands of feet in the air. this is in the skies of dallas, texas. the camera is on jeff coffman, jr., he is a skydiver. he belongs to a team called the free-flying skyscrapers. everything is going just fine. everything looks beautiful. they start doing the formation. holding hands, doing their thing, and everything they're doing seems to be right except jeff goes to pull his shoe and he turns back around and just in that moment look ahead. >> no. >> are you kidding me? >> yes. that was one heck of a close encounter with a little plane. >> that's terrifying. >> how does that happen? don't they close airspace around jump zones like that?
9:32 am
>> let's find out because via skype "right this minute" we have jeff. so, yeah, the question, what happened? how did it happen? >> in terms of how that happens, it's really a bit of a puzzle because our drop zone is marked so pilots flying through the area know that it's the drop zone and they know that skydivers are there, but in this case my guess is the pilot didn't plan his route and if he did, he just flew too close. and ultimately what he did was he flew right underneath our formation. >> wow. >> so, what can happen in a situation like this? does a pilot even know what he did do you think? do you know who the pilot is? is this a fine? >> in terms of us knowing who the pilot is, we weren't able to find out because none of our video got the number on his plane. but i don't think it was intentional. >> how close of a call was this? like, how far were you guys away from him? >> i wasn't really terrified or scared at that moment because i nuf knew it wasn't going to hit me,
9:33 am
but i saw it was really, really close, i was wearing a go pro, if you are familiar with the cameras, they are a wide angle lens and things appear further than they actually are, so that plane was closer to me than what the camera actually shows. i would say it was definitely within 500 feet. >> any concern that this is a local pilot and maybe he does it again just still doesn't know his airspace? >> yeah, that's definitely a concern because it's not the first time that it's happened on any drop zone. it's not going to be the last time it's going to happen. i can tell you that in the history of skydiving, no skydiver and an airplane that wasn't associated with the drop zone have collided. it's never happened. and as you can imagine, the sky is giant, so the likelihood of that happening is extremely rare. so it's probably one of the last things i'm worried about as far as safety hazard goes.

>> this is surveillance video from outside a bank in brazil. walking in you see three guys. they're not there to make a withdrawal. they're there to rob the place, that's kind of a withdrawal you could say, too. watch this. they walk in and right there they assault the guard. take the guard's gun, so now there's nobody to fight against these dudes. they lock the revolving doors and they are starting to round customers ,ing o a certain area. starts demanding money. you can see now this girl with her hands up, terrifying scene. but there's a hero in all of this. it's a pretty wild story. they bring in this guy what looks like jeans and a white t-shirt, get him down on the ground. they lay him down. guess what? he's an undercover cop. he was just there to make a bank transaction and he's armed himself and watch what he does. they have him down on the ground. he gets back up on his knees and then right here, apparently, he shoots the guy right in the head, point-blank range.
9:35 am
kys kills one of his robbers and springs into action firing back trying to go at these other two guys. here's the other robber scrambling when he's figuring out what's happening in the back, he's running for it, the guy in the blue is basically trying to fire back at the undercover cop, this is the other robber and he shoots out the bottom glass so he can push his way through and the other guy gets out but not before being shot a number of times, he's crawling out and he's injured bad. we've got another video from the aftermath. you can see it looks like he was hit a number of times. i don't think this guy's going anywhere. but the guy in the hat did get away in this whole thing. >> what are the odds of that, that an undercover armed cop happened to be making a deposit when these guys went in? >> all of this information coming to us from brazil, a news organization sergio, the good thing it looks like no innocent bystanders were injured, no workers or people going into the bank. the undercover cop apparently uninjured in this. hey, everybody, we're giving

9:38 am
100 pounds just because i can't damage the way i want to, there's a lot of things i can't do physically i want to do but i don't have any interest in being the societal definition of thin ever again. >> your blog is really brilliant because not only are you encouraging self-love but you're also trying to educate the people who try to shame others? >> i think you have to start with how you feel about yourself and what you project outward, but the other message that i would also give to people it's kind of like a reverse body shaming because the site isn't called no fat shame, it's called no body shame because there's a lot of people who are thinking they got on my good side fat's where it's at, only a dog wants a bone. i hate that. i think it's so counterintuitive. we don't build ourselves up as fat women to put skinny women down and the whole real women have curves. all women are real women. i think we have to understand everybody's an individual. everybody's real. everybody's valid. and we all have to just support each other.
