woman is accused of murder but tonight we know it is her mother she is accused of killing. ktvu's allie rasmus spoke with police this afternoon and officers say she flat out admitted to them she did it. >> reporter: that's right. we learned the victim is 74 years old, her daughter is accused of murdering her. while police won't tell us how she was killed we know how they found out about it. the 53-year-old called police yesterday afternoon and told them over the phone she killed her mother and wanted to turn herself in. police found the body inside the home and this afternoon investigators returned to the home to gather more evidence as part of this murder investigation. investigators wouldn't say how or when she was killed but neighbors said they had been living in this home for four years and during that time neighbors noticed the home fell

into disrepair. a few neighbors said they called police several times in the past to call disturbances and the daughter was known to act strangely from time to time. >> used to be a deck over there. one time around, in the morning, she was just tearing it apart. bizarre. >> reporter: she was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder. the contra costa county coroner's office is closed for the holiday so we don't know when a autopsy will be performed. she being held at the jail on $1 million bail. live, allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 news. in san francisco police are still looking for a gunman who shot a man outside a mall right across the street from the powell street cable car. he was shot several times

it was a somber mission in colorado to recover the bodies of three people who died in a

small plane crash. it took off at 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning but it crashed into a cliff. two of the victims were commercial pilots. the third was a former military pilot. every month tens of thousands of cars are passing through the all electronic toll system without paying and yet so they are collecting millions in late fees. since it went into operation the district has been sending bills to drivers who don't have fast track. if the tolls aren't paid wain month drivers are slapped with a late fee. during the first four months, 290,000 violations were issued. they lost $1.7 million in unpaid tolls but made up the difference collecting $3 million in late fees. i love this story. a woman in mississippi was told she was having triplets but she got the shock of her life in

of the two officer whose were killed in the crash near fresno. officers brian law and juan gonzalez were responding to a traffic collision on highway 99 just before 6:00 a.m. as they approached the scene the california highway patrol said juan gonzalez swerved to avoid one of the people involved in the initial crash on the road. the officer's cruisers slammed into a guard rail killing both men on impact. >> they were classmates together. attended 27 weeks of training together. became good friends. >> officer juan gonzalez was just 33 years old and was not married. officer brian law was 34. he is survived by his wife and three children. and both men had ties to the bay area. ktvu's claudine wong is live where officer brian law began his law enforcement career. >> reporter: there are 90 officers here in
