today's court hearing brings to the case. john? >> reporter: these are the men who left bryan stow with permanent brain damaged. if you ask bryan stow's family no sentence is enough to bring bryan stow back from where she -- he is now. >> reporter: marvin norwood and louie sanchez pleaded guilty to their roles in leaving san francisco giants fan bryan stow permanently disabled. 4 years and 8 years. before they received their fates, the family hit them with their words. >> being here i hoped to see one tiny bit of remorse to not think you are that despicable. but i don't. >> louie sanchez admitted to punching him after the game in down 11. it knocked him to the ground causing a brain injury. his sister read statement from

a 4th today. chp officers are worried someone will get hurt. develops news from san francisco, two workers were injured today in downtown san francisco. from news chopper 2 you can see the police responding to the scene and workers being sent home for the day. it happened at the construction site on mission street just a block south of market street. ktvu's david stevenson is there now to explain what went wrong. david? >> the victims were working on a tower for sales force.com. they are working on a calf fording that has been raise -- scaffolding that has been raised. what is unclear is why it tipped over, taking down the two men who were secured to the structure. they had to be extricated and taken to san francisco general hospital. the accident shook up the crew here. a construction worker across

new cases of measles. the scare began when a student tested positive for measles. the student road b.a.r.t. earlier this month and officials have been concerned people were exposed to measles on b.a.r.t. and at university of california at berkeley. two dozen employees of a ambulance service has been fired after skipping cpr training. yesterday the company fired 13 paramedics and 11emts. this comes after they admitted to receiving their recertification cards without taking the cpr class. investigations are being conducted, including for the instructor who is accused of forging the certification cards. officials say till they can fill the positions, over time is being used to cover the shifts. backers of a tax on soda is encouraged by the results of

a woman was hit and injured by a cement truck this afternoon in san francisco. it happened after 3:00 p.m. at california and fillmore streets. the woman was in her 70s and

transported to san francisco general hospital. no word on her condition. muni service was disrupted in the area but bus service now back to normal. in the sunset district of san francisco, people are calling for traffic improvements after a second pedestrian accident there this month. authorities say a 15-year-old boy was in the crosswalk when he was hit by a car. he is expected to survive. the driver stopped and cooperating. this is the same intersection where a 78-year-old man was hit and killed on february 4th. >> nobody looked. no one looks at all. you can't hope just because the majority is stopping all of them will stop. >> neighbors are pushing for a pedestrian light but that won't come till 2015. golf coach accused of molesting students was in court

today. his family attended the hearing but cameras were not allowed. he is charged with 75 counts of child molestation. he pleaded not guilty to all charges. he ran the golf academy at the golf course in livermore. he is held without bail and will return to court march 26. police arrested a man for having child pornography, all thanks to an alert citizen. that citizen spotted him photographing children earlier this week and called police. they arrested him and searched his apartment. police say they found hundreds of imagings of child pornography. now police are asking anyone with information about this case to come forward. a company is looking for help identifying two men who broke into their headquarters on sunday and stole a computer. they released surveillance

video, this is it, that shows the two men burglarizing. you can see they pried open the door and then leave the building carrying a stolen computer. they didn't take anything else. if you know who they are, you are asked to call police. new at 6:00 p.m. california's drought emergency prompted people to rip out their lawns and some are getting paid to do it. one city has seen it quadrupled. ktvu's rob roth looks at the push to conserve. >> comsume as lot of water. >> -- consume as lot of water -- consumes a lot of water. we shouldn't be hogging anymore water to keep our lawn green. doesn't sit well with me. >> reporter: they say 2/3 of their water use goes to landscaping and officials say

half of residential water consumption goes to lawns. the couple says it makes sense to lose the lawn but it is the responsible thing to do. >> decent lifestyle, at the same time being kind to our environment. >> reporter: they are not the only ones making a change. we called the contra costa county water district who said the number of people ripping out their lawns quadrupled over last year. they have a incentive program that pays $1 for every square foot of lawn. last february 27 people took advantage. this february it is 109 and the month still isn't over. january had similar increases. >> a lot of people going this direction. >> reporter: it needs no water. he says more and more customers are replacing their lawns with
