move to the south bay, the rest of the south bay still looks good let's go back to the desk. investigaters are looking for clues in a deadly fire in san jose. it happened in the vista neighborhood and it happened with dramatic results. tara? >> reporter: a man got out and was talking to firefighters and he did indeed know of the person living inside and that was actually the victim in this case. >> there is going to be a lot of people trying to figure it out. >> you can see the corner has removed the body located behind this house and now arson investigaters are sifting through the building and they are trying to get an idea of what sparked this fire. they sparked this a large column of smoke could be seen a

quarter of the way away. it was not until after the fire was put out that they made a grim discovery and a man in his late 40s lived there. he said a man panicked when he heard about the fire since his sister-in-law was carrying for his -- caring for his baby overnight. >> she heard a loud bang and didn't see anything and then saw flames and she grabbed my daughter and ran across the street. >> other homes were threatened and crews were able to keep the flames from spreading and the damage is bringing a complete loss. that could take days if not weeks. live from san jose, tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 morning news. they are trying to figure out what caused the damage.

it started in an empty building on couch street. when firefighters arrived, the building was proud as a homeless shelter at one point two people were unaccounted for and they searched the building and they believe nobody was hurt. charged with the killing of a three-year-old daughter, the body of three-year-old caylee slusher was found february 1st february 1st. the little girl's body had been kept in a freezer and suitcase for days. police arrested the mother and her boyfriend and potential are expected to have her about trouble at a fruit veil

flammable materials. the san francisco meatball -- poisonous meatball threat is spreading and police say the same sort of meatballs were spread in the neighborhood this weekend and pet owners are very concerned. they are certainly on alert, four suspicious meatballs were found where we are this morning, close to fulton and san francisco police are testing them to see if they are in fact poisonous and they are looking to be the same and in that case, they were left with the intent to kill pets.
