. we are at the scene of a house fire in san leandro. we will tell you the one close call a firefighter had here while battling the flames. >> oakland police are trying to figure out if the discovery of a badly burned body is connected to the death of a 77 year old woman. what is happening that could provide important information. happening in ukraine, clashes with the president and military action and how the u.s. is responding. look at the numbers in your neighborhood coming up. following breaking news in san leandro. we are learning one firefighter had a close call this morning after falling through a hole in the floor there allie. >> reporter: they were battling the buyers, one of the floors of the three story home partially collapsed and one firefighter fell through. according to the alameda fire officials, they said he is okayen a he is back at work fighting the fire. you can see the home where it happened. right behind us. this is a residential area in unincorporated san leandro. a fire broke out at five this morning. it quickly went to two alarms and fire engulfed the three story house. this is not the first time alameda firefighters have been to the home. back in november, there was a fire here and they discover add marijuana grow operation.

but they say it was a legal grow operation and no one has lived in the home since then. so no one had to be rescued. no one is injured ands cause of the fire isn't known. right now, the fire is contained but not fully extinguished. if we take you back out live, flames coming from the house, there is still a large firefighter presence out here. we are hoping to get an update from the battalion chief and we will bring it to you in 30 minutes. for now, the 2-alarm fire started at five and in unincorporated san leandro and spreading to other homes. it is no longer an issue here. we are hoping to get another update and bring that to you in 30 minutes. we have ktvu news. oakland police investigating an overnight deadly shooting. it happened last night on garfield avenue. they found a woman who was shot to death. police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding that shooting. oakland list are trying to figure out if the discovery of

many americans are wondering where crimea is. >> the black sea separates it from much of the ukraine except for a north strip of land connecting it to the mine land. it became part of the automatic crane in 1954. 64% of its population identifies as russian. they are waiting to see if they will be allowed to go back home. crews in glendorra are cleaning up the mess. and they were evacuated in the foothills because of mudsliding down the hillside. mudslides are still a big concern. >> you could still experience mud and debris flow into your yard. and it makes it somewhat unsafe until it has a time to dry out. last month wildfires in the foothills community burned away vegetation that would help hold soil in place.

they rescued these hikers. they called for help last night. crows worked through the night to reach the hikers stranded at malibu creek state park. they were able to hoist the four hike errs up and out of danger using a helicopter. two people were hurt after a giant wave crashed need a restaurant. it happened at the beachside par cafe. they were strong enough to toss boats around in the water. they were trying to secure the patio furniture when the giant waves crashed right into them. >> they were innocent front of the windows and he went through the door of the patio that was just washed out by the same wave. then our manager simon was actually washed out with the wave and then went under the pier and was stuck under the pier. >> they were able to get back to shore and broke his collarbone. the other employee was not

francisco and the airport reporting. and this is interesting. and because the radar is not picking up on the light rain over the airport. it isn't showing us a whole lot of moisture and we will start there. and we may have a few light showers falling over areas of the american canyon. and we see it here into napa as well. >> the showers will be passing and they are enough to get you wet. >> if you are going to be outdoors, perhaps carry the rain gear just in case. they had light showers reported earlier and looks like they have tapered off and even if the radar is not picking up on the light showers. we may have drizzle falling outside the door. expect the possibility of a little bit of wet weather for your sunday. take a look. it is a very weak wave and it is hard to depict on that view and take away the radar and show you the water vapor loop and show you the moisture just moving through the bay area. it is a subtle one and we will continue with the soggy weather

san mateo police received two dozen complaints last week alone. federal judge denied bail with ties to the bay area. he is accused of wilding a bomb in his apartment. the judge said he was on vacation for burglary realed charges. he is a flight risk and denied a risk from his attorney to let him stay with his parents until his trial. they found bomb-making materials in his apartment in january during a search for marijuana. slow ambulance response times from the san francisco fire department could put patients at risk. this that is the conclusion from the san francisco concal. the paper reports. 2500 patients could not be transported last year because an ambulance wasn't available. paramedics did respond to medical care and the fire chief said it is in response to all 911 calls within five minutes. today is an important deadline for high school seniors
