hi, everybody, i'm beth troutman it's time for great videos and the stories behind them "right this minute." an ugly comment at a store sets off a customer and then -- >> it escalates even more. what happened when outrage over a slur snowballed online. cops unload 70 rounds on a suspect. >> just as this car spins out of control. >> why prosecutors now say police had every right to use megaforce. rescuers try but fail to
3:31 pm
reach a woman flailing in the water. >> and she's drowning. >> see what happens when one hero pulled the last-ditch miracle. and a sneak peek of my five wives. >> who's up for a little -- >> why it's not all fun and games when you got to work it. >> five times as hard as usual. this incident between a store clerk and a customer in sears in canada has a lot of people talking online. the man in the black jacket is a customer. she's talking to the store clerk. the person who posted the video said that the customer in the black jacket was putting his 3-year-old son on a lawnmower and the sears guy said get your f-ing kid off it's not a play area. >> i called security, too. >> the customer just said tell me, did you come from domo. we're guessing we're not sure that that's an insult. listen to what the clerk says back to the man. >> did you just come off the
3:32 pm
boat? >> he just said, i guess you just came off the boat. that sets the man off. >> that's racist discrimination. >> it escalates even more. >> i came off the boat? >> you [ bleep [ bleep >> no, no, no. >> came off the [ bleep boat? you racist [ bleep >> he wants one of the women standing there who works at sears to call the manager and he keeps yelling at the clerk. >> hey. >> no, no, no. >> what time do you get off work, santa claus? what the [ bleep was that all about? >> off the boat. >> do you know how many fricking asians are in this place right now. >> finally a security guard from sears comes over and helps calm things down more. >> i don't take lightly to racism. >> here's the deal no matter what happens you can't insult a customer. you might want to but you can't insult a customer, whatever he says to you, you can't do it. >> the customer's daughter has
3:33 pm
come to his defense on facebook. anybody who disagrees with the way dad conducted himself, can go "f" himself, racism should not be tolerated under any circumstances. we reached out to sears canada and we wrote back, we concluded the majority of our investigation and have terminated the employee involved in the incident so sears obviously wanted to take quick action in this incident. >> that's racist discrimination. a fireman in ireland is being nominated for a bravery award and you are about to see why in this video from the river shannon. this is in limerick ireland. there's a woman in this water and you can see the water's moving pretty swiftly and she's drowning. there are many rescue crews on the scene. up in the sky is a helicopter and they've got a guy on a line trying to get this woman. they have people on boats and the bridge and all sorts of different rescue attempts not working. guy being dangled from the helicopter, he can't get to her. once you get closer to the bridge you start to notice this boat coming out to rescue her. but don't watch the boat, watch
3:34 pm
the bridge. see what happened? >> he leapt off the bridge. >> that's the fireman i'm talking about eli brace, 36 years old and he's part of the swift water rescue team, none of this is working and he jumps in. as he goes under the bridge and the woman goes under the bridge, eli apparently grabbed hold of her. floated down here. now you see watch everybody on the bridge runs to the other side to look over and you'll see the fireman eli brace come with the woman in his arm and he gets her and pulls her back up on the boat to safety. >> that's quick thinking. >> it was a brilliant move. such a kind hearted move. >> they said it was a potentially deadly situation. who knows what would happen. i'm not a hero, this is all in a day's work. we train for this. was just doing my job.
3:35 pm
come out with your hands up! >> a police chase in cord idaho ended like this. as you watch the video we have dash cam footage and lapel cam footage from one of the officers. according to reports police fired more than 70 rounds at this car. according to police the driver of that car was 19-year-old christian nicholas bouquet. now, he was fatally injured in this shootout but according to police just before this chase he shot an acquaintance of his in the chest and fled the scene. when police were responding he led police on a chase for five miles reaching high speeds and he also fired at officers and at bystanders as he was driving in this police chase. >> i'm just shocked at the age of this kid where he thought he could shoot somebody and then shoot at bystanders and police. >> this was used by the

prosecutor's attorney's office to determine that the officers were justified in their action. absolutely beautiful day of skiing on the mountains in switzerland. group of buddies out there breaking this beautiful, beautiful powder. it's all very even. obviously some of the guys already gone downhill. but this was too much for the mountain. because before you know it, while these guys are sitting there on the powder, the snow above them begins to crumble. see that? the guy in the yellow ski outfit comes down. >> oh! avalanche! [ bleep >> fortunately this was a very small avalanche. they all obviously got out of there okay, but guys are still chilling up. >> came by and instead of
3:37 pm
watching them with the skis, he kicked off a little snowslide and he's the guy who has to buy everybody beers. >> definitely. >> that night back at the lodge. >> the tab's on him. >> oh! a home is ablaze from top to bottom as firefighters hurried to put flames out. >> but the worst is yet to come in this video. >> how the big bike came crashing down. and dad takes a lesson from baby lily ann. he's calling it the lily ann workout. >> see why strength training never looked so cute. everyone wants to be the cadbury bunny. cause only he brings delicious cadbury crème eggs, while others may keep trying. nobunny knows easter better than cadbury!

two alarm house fire in cri clifton, new jersey, you see the fire department responding to the scene, apparently the fire started in the basement but went the whole way up to the attic. the flames are going through the roof of this thing so the whole house engulfed there. the firefighters fighting it from the outside. the smoke starts to turn to white which means the firefighters are starting to do their job and starting to put out some of the flames but the worst is yet to come in this video because watch this. as they're fighting this fire. >> whoa. >> goodness the whole house collapsed. >> the whole thing comes down.
3:41 pm
it does kind of look like an older home but what you are worried about here, where are the firefighters. >> are there guys inside? i feel like there wasn't. >> there wasn't, you're right, nick, they were able to pull out the crews before the collapse because, you know, a lot of times they know there's so much structural damage to this thing especially if they knew that this thing started in the basement and grew up to the attic, there's not much to save, so fortunately everybody was able to get out of the way here. >> it looks like they were far enough away that nothing fell on them and the crews were out of there as well. a scary moment and shows again the split-second decision making these guys got to make to keep people safe. here at the end of you see some of the aftermath. they are still hitting it with hoses to keep the fire and smoke down. but not much left of that home. kitty tries on a shoe.

the internet's a wonderful tool for parenting experiences. let that go on and on and on. that guy is ryan haffey in henderson, novembevada and he t it what's it really like to have kids. >> the kid in the tidies and socks. >> it's a circle. >> and they don't know they're being filmed. this is happening and now i'm just going to record this. this is my life.
3:43 pm
watch this next video and you'll feel better about the parenting experience. >> hands up. yeah. wow. >> this is dad michael sands berry and his adorable little daughter. we got this video from juking video. we all it the lilly ann video. >> less shoulder action here. >> dad and daughter are adorable but wait until you see this moment. >> i love you. >> rubs his shoulder and just reaches out. >> dad, this workout's not that hard. more reps. let's go. >> i can't wait to see his video in about three or four years when lilly ann is running laps around the kitchen table. >> yeah. she's known for her daring adventures and -- >> this time she's going into an abandoned stone mine and i'll tell you this girl's got some stones of her own. >> why every step means life or

explorers is back, tina or teensi as she's known on youtube, she's going through an abandoned stone mine and she's got stones, because it's scary and sketchy inside of this place. she's got a nice hardhat with a light and a pair of waterproof boots and that gadget right there it monitors oxygen quality. that thing starts to go off, you know, you are breathing some dangerous gases. it looks so scary but it also it just looks fun. it's interesting to see. it looks like a tom rab raider. a couple different places she's climbing up the different ladders that seem to have been left behind there. >> yep. >> oh, man. >> i can't help but wonder all the what-ifs, right? what if the lamp fails or the gas little machine doesn't work. all the different things that could go wrong. >> is she solo in this one, nick? is she by herself? >> it does appear that she's by
3:51 pm
herself. >> that's scarier, too, because what if she fell down the stairs or a rock fell on her head, nobody would be there to pull her out. >> she comes across a mine shaft a deep well of water flowing into it. >> what if she forgot to put the flashlight in that area and just walked right in that hole? >> what if? >> yeah. >> what if? >> you can't blame it on the what-ifs, there's a lot here. it's always fascinating to watch from here. >> yeah. base jumpers climb to the stop to take the plunge. >> when you get there, you realize it's not necessarily the edge of the rock but then they're going to go over on this lift chair and then they're going to jump. >> see if the dodgy takeoff makes for a good time.

crazy base jumping. he and base jumpers hit this area of turkey and they're going to climb up to the jumoff points. when they get there, they realize it's not necessarily the edge of a rock. they're going to go over on this lift chair and then they're going to jump. >> there's a cable right behind us and we're about to get on that little chair and cruise out. and jump off and it's absolutely scary. >> and he does it with a smile, like, scary. >> it's kind of neat. >> he's wearing his parachute. gets ready and then jumps off. he does a few 360s in the air. pulls his chute. >> what's he going for? >> he is going for one on the side. the red one. >> oh, boy. >> that's a dangerous landing. you are coming in landing on a, like, a quarter. >> yes. looks like he kind of missed it. he landed it before he got to it but he landed it. >> he could have punched them in the face. it's hard because they don't have a whole lot of maneuvering
