injuries are not life- threatening. there's a bullet hole in his car. the sound of gunfire in oakland prompted a school lockdown. the principal said he heard the shots. police investigated the situation but didn't find the source of the gunfire. three students in california were busted for smoking marijuana in a school bat room, they are in the third grade. police were called but the students were released to their parents. parents of other students at that school were stunned. >> shocked. to be in third grade have their own pipe. >> the school follows the california education code the students may be suspended. >> an amtrak hit and killed a

person in oakry this afternoon. deputies have not released details about the person that was killed. the train has been stopped during the investigation. a major new development on a plan to make it easier to get around the bay area. the transportation commission will have one card working for all transit systems in the bay area. this is a big deal for commuters. >> it is. the clipper card will cast it's eclipse overall transit systems. >> she waited at the bart station for her bus to take her home. the reverse strip she took this morning. she paid with her clipper card and paid cash for a clipper ticket.

this is light stuff almost getting there. i have showers in santa rosa. right now the showers have stayed north. the real rain is behind this and gets in late tonight and early tomorrow morning. it could have an impact on the morning commute on thursday. we'll look for more rain in the 50 -- five-day forcast. marine water district expects to make it through the drought this year. >> at phoenix lake one of marine county seven reservoirs what a different a month makes. this was in january. a hungry coyote came by. the reservoir was 70% full.

by february it was half full. that was then, this is now after 21 inches of rain in four weeks. the reservoir is at full capacity and then some. they were anticipating mandatory water restrictions. now the water agency said mandatory water limits are not necessary. >> the reservoirs are enough above the threshold we feel confident we don't need to go there. residents are relieved. >> not having a mandatory but people should take it popp themselves and try to save water. the water agency credits the customers. in january the water agency asked them to voluntary reduce the water use by 25%, to date they are using 24% less water. between the reduction and

consumption and the increase and supply the reservoirs are in better shape. >> despite all the water voluntary water measures are in place. the drought is still with us there should be enough water to get through it. >> even with the rain california's reservoirs are still below where they should be. back in january when the governor declared a drought emergency, folsom lake was 17% of capacity. normally it would be 60%. lake shasta was 36%. on 11 -- ktvu.com.
