keselowski's face. go ahead and talk about the strategy paul wolf had for your miller lite ford. >> heck of a call throughout the race to get us in front of these cars. it's so important. sorry, got hit pretty hard in the eyes. you know, at the end, this car was just really fast and i'm really proud of it. really proud of the team for giving me a car that's fast. this is a big deal for ford, you know, they've done a heck of a job really working hard trying to get all the ford cars to be good, and, you know, carl edwards helped me out there. he gave me a little break so i could go run down the 88 and that's what we needed for a ford to win, put pressure on dale and not let him get into fuel save mode. so i appreciate that. thank you to carl and all the fords that worked together. it was kind of a sad day for ford with the loss of william clay. big deal where i'm fro in detroit.

today and keep working toward our goal of winning some more races, but it's tough. tough losing like that. that thing started sputtering off, too, really disappointing. >> thanks for your time, we'll see you at bristol. chris? >> junior fans on the edge of their seat, but the fans appreciate that's the best start. he's had three straight top five finishes to start the season. best ever for dale earnhardt jr., but las vegas belongs to this man. we'll have more on the sprint post race show in a moment. charles not having coverage stressed me out. i literally haven't been to a doctor in 15 years. i had a car accident when i was uninsured, and i declined medical assistance because it was gonna be too expensive. as a result, i deal with back pain on a pretty regular basis. after it had built up for so long of not having insurance, i couldn't believe that it was just that easy. it was just nice to have a plan that was a reasonable monthly premium.

but these guys never gave up. our chevy was really good on long runs. thursday we had a test day and it was really good racing, no speed at all in qualifying, but went back to race trim yesterday and it was fast again. figured out in race trim works and something we can definitely build on for more mile and a halves. looking forward to bristol next week, fun ring, i'm looking forward to getting back together with these guys and running. we've got a really good team and everybody's clicking. >> by the way, congratulations on your soon-to-be child. >> yeah, i got to hurry home now. thank you. >> and the fastest of the fastest las vegas race in the history of the 17 races here, just over average speed of just over 154 miles per hour. of course, joey logano sat on the pole, brad keselowski up front, and the gambles, abilities to pass and pull off the victory for the 2 car. >> great restart. he took off and made passes to get the win. we heard about track position, how important to be up front,

carl edwards and dale earnhardt jr. proved how vital it is to have the clean air, but brad fought through that. i've never seen a more determined driver focused on getting the checkered flags than brad. that was sideways, crew chief took chances, they are in vegas, gambled, and won. >> nice tribute to william clay ford senior, who passed away. fords, by the way, have won half the races run in las vegas and joey logano led 44 laps and wound up fourth is standing by with steve byrnes. >> with the pole winner joey logano. when the race started you were out front, but when you got caught back in traffic, couldn't go anywhere. tell us about your day. >> it was hard fought, for sure. once we lost track position, so loose. so hard to pass a car. it's hard for me to pass lap cars out there. we kept swinging it. did a good job making adjustments and swinging for the fences. everything we can change, we changed.
3:07 pm
still wasn't quite good enough at the end to race with those guys. we got the car good enough to get up into the top five and i thought i had brad almost on the outside there one of the restarts, but he had the faster car, so, you know, awesome for team penske to get the win, just got to get the 22 going and get it in the chase. still a solid season for us to start. couple top fives here and pole to start the weekend. we got speed, just got to fine tune it a little bit better for this track, at least. bristol's a good track for us coming up and look forward to going back there. >> thank you, joey. >> we a lot more to come, there's 30-year-old from north of detroit, brad keselowski, off his 11th career win. here in philadelphia you can access a philly cheesesteak anytime, day or night. just like you can access geico anytime, day or night. there is only one way to celebrate this unique similarity. witness the cheesesteak shuffle. ♪ cheesesteak, cheesesteak ♪
