bumper left over presumably from the same crash for the first street and traffic is beginning to back up on the way to north milpitas. 580 is beginning to get close on 680 and we have a report of a crash on the shoulders. let's go back to the desk. we are following breaking news out of san francisco, fire crews are on the scene near waller street near the neighborhood of dubois park. claudine was on the scene minutes ago, claudine, what can you tell us? >> reporter: you can see the fire department is here checking out the situation and the water-main break is up the street but you can see the water rushing down this hill and is making a pretty big mess. i am going to walk you down because i want to show you

where all of this water is ending up because that is causing a problem and this is scott street. you can see a lot of these cars are stuck in the water and from what we can tell, they are not going into their homes. i did talk to the water department and they tell me in 10 minutes they expect this water flow to stop because they are going around to different valves and trying to shut everything down. this is a 6-inch water-main which affects water service and they said repairs to get it fixed are going to take all day. or much of the day at this point. there is a question of if this has happened before. take a look again. with these cars, it's important to note. they seem to be doing just fine and a lot of times when you have a water-main break, you

are concerned it will go into sidewalks and we have gone around the block to check out the situation that, that is happening. and it looks like the water level is not enough to cause problems inside the cars. i want to come down to this intersection in front of us. you can see it is causing some pool up in this intersection here and there was city work to make sure the cars were going around it but as the water starts to slow down, it is starting to drain -- [ technical difficulties, stand by ] [ technical difficulties, stand by ] >> it looks like we lost our signal with claudine but a lot of water there in that neighborhood. tara moriarty is in richmond with a look at what finally stopped the driver, tara? >> reporter: you know, i want to mention, the lights just got fixed and it appears caltrans was able to fix this, this was

not turning yellow and green and it looks like this intersection will improve a little bit because it was starting to get a bit backed up but it crashed where he came up on the sidewalk and knocked this pole sheer off. it was the way the traffic pole stayed intact in the car after this crashed. the pursuit began in downtown sacramento near the capital and he failed to yield and he led them to westbound 880 and got up to speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. he went nearly 75 miles and the suspect hit a spike strip and he was driving on one rim before he lost control of him. the suspect saw the crash. >> the driver failed to

hit the officer has not been found. adam shaw is currently recovering in the hospital. he was shot in the shoulder on saturday after he and his partner pulled over 50-year-old jeffery roux want know. they opened fire after he began backing his car up towards the officers. it is not clear if he shot the suspect or his partner. mean hours later, he was 40 with no gun. a five-year-old boy and his baby-sitter are in the hospital recovering. it happened at the intersection of 30th and fulton in the city's outer richmond district. the car hit the boy and the woman while they were walking in the crosswalk they were not seriously hurt and the driver remained at the scene and was
