digging into the developer and he is in the news room with the other projects that are in the works. the developer says the building that burned in san francisco was one of four projects under construction, worth $725 million and we found there might be more in the pipeline. we can show you aerials. construction is still going on a $97,000,000.254 unit apartment development. a source tells me it is business as usual at that sight and others -- site and others today. we found bre has developments planned or under construction in lensten and emeryville and redwood city and san francisco. that is the one you see in the fire from yesterday. in a statement they told ktvu yesterday's fire purged one of

-- burned one of two buildings. a second site with 188 units was not effected. the project was supposed to be finished in the next few months. they already have 16 properties in the bay area. it sin the middle of -- is in the middle of completing a merger but officials insist that fire won't have an impact on the deal. live, eric rasmussen, ktvu channel 2 news. >> the fire is keeping some neighbors out of their homes. the apartment building across the street survived. >> i saw them build up what they call a water current. i go, okay, maybe that will save it. amazing. >> firefighters protected most of the building but there is still some damage. you can see blown out windows

and doors because of the heat. some residents saw the smoke and water damage when they went inside today to get some belongings. >> you can smell the smoke in the hallways. once you leave you can smell it. it was really hot yesterday when we were in there. and stair wells is full of water. >> people across the street took video with their cell phones. you can see how close they were to the massive flames. she noticed the smoke and flames not long after the flames started. look at these photos. you can see the smoke get bigger and the flames spread to the lower floors. you can see the monster fire as it ungulfed the build -- engulfed the building. the size of the structures

picture. this is what it looked like just yesterday. >> it was a pretty boat. 40 feet long. nice boat. good shape. >> blowing pretty good. 40 nots this morning. which is enough to break loose the anger. toss them on the shore. >> reporter: sailors say this boat was anchored out here days before bad timing. another smaller sail boat is also on the rocks. friends say they had lost insurance and moved out of the marina and land owners will have to remove the wrecks unless the owners step forward. the coast guard is not involved in this because no one was board any of the boats. no one was injured and there is no pollution risk. you can expect these wrecks to be removed in a few days. reporting live at oyster point marina john fowler, ktvu

channel 2 news. choppy waters on the bay this morning forced a company to cancel ferries around 11:00 a.m. this morning. 1500 people were already on the island. they had to be ferried back. everyone scheduled today was offered a refund or a chance to rebook. officials expect the boats to run their regular schedule tomorrow. our chief meteorologist bill martin has been tracking the windy conditions. how drawn were the winds -- strong were the winds today? >> the strongest winds were last night when the wide advisory was in place -- wind advisory was in place. this morning 36 miles per hour in richmond. the direction out of the north and the east. which is prily windy -- pretty windy. that accelerates the wind. there is less friction. you can see a live camera.

big island the search sifted for a terrorism suspect. the fbi has what it calls intelligence. daniel andreas san diego is on big island. she a suspect in two pipe bombings in 2003. in december the fbi offered a quarter million dollars for a reward for information leading to his capture. san jose police are searching for two men who kidnapped and robbed a woman.

investigators say a woman met a man in a target parking lot monday night to buy iphones. police say she decided to back out and that is when a second man appeared. the two then forced the victim into her car, drove her to a bank, with drew money from her account and didn't end there. >> the subject returned and again entered the vehicle and demanded that the victim go ahead and provide additional moneys that she did not have. >> the victim wound up calling a friend to bring more money. the robbers released the woman when her friend arrived. supporters of the affordable care act have a bone to pick with the ceo of whole foods. they held a protest today outside a san francisco store. they are upset about comments the ceo made about the president's affordable care act. >> we think they are inflammatory words and spreads

will not be able to handle the boating season that starts april 14. >> this year due it the drought we have to plan for the fact that we may not have boating this year. >> reporter: this is the only one of the five reservoirs with enough water right now. boaters were more than just disappointed. >> scary times. you know? us, we live through our lifestyle and this is our lifestyle. >> reporter: is one reservoir enough? >> no. there is hope. the water district is pumping in 250-acre feet of water every day into the south bay's largest reservoir. one acre foot is 326,000 gallons. ilities federal water to make -- it is federal water to make
