passengers on a u.s. air flight from philadelphia had to evacuate the plane after the front wheel collapsed during take off. u.s. air flight 1702 was headed to texas and airport spokes woman said there are no reports of injuries. this selfie was posted to twitter who said she was a passengers on board the plane. you can see the aircraft nose down. again, a u.s. air passenger jet had to aport a take off -- abort a take off. all of the passengers and crews safely evacuated from the plane. new developments after several students at a high school got sick after eating tainted brawnies. parents fear there may be -- brownies. parents fear there may be more. what officials say happened is different than what students described. ktvu's john sasaki is live at

hayward high school with a photo of a medical emergency. >> reporter: five students missed class because of what happened at hayward high school yesterday. >> reporter: after class today at hayward high school we learned what a group of girls did is the talk of campus. >> seen the fire truck and the paramedics come. >> everyone reacted to it and got in the ambulance. i found out it was because she ate. since a fire broke out two days ago. tuesday night about this time when flames started shooting from the construction site. 150 firefighters all scrambled to get it under control. today crews were back at work along with investigators who are still trying to figure out how it started. >> david stevenson has been following had story since tuesday night. you spoke with neighbors who still aren't allowed back in to their apartments. >> reporter: that's right. a different scene than even yesterday. we have seen a small amount of smoke coming out of the fire scene. but we also saw crews burrowing in as neighbors tried to get back to normal -- >> reporter: engineers got a look at the charred wood, medal and peace metal and cheat -- metal and sheet rock. teams took down the last corner

by the train. now video from inside the train as it pulled away from the suv. 200 people were on board the train at the time. no one was hurt. the tracks were cleared by 12:15 p.m. neighbors help police catch two burglaries suspects this morning. they saw two people breaking into home and called 911. police responded quickly and made two arrests. one neighbor is glad people are paying attention. >> i am glad they got caught. that could have been my house. i don't know who called but if i see anything i will try to notify and see what i can do. >> no details on the two suspects taken into custody. police arrested five people in connection with a shooting death of a 30-year-old man from richmond in february. he was gunned down february 2 in the parking lot of the green

inside an rv. this started around 3:00 a.m. this morning after police found a man shot in the leg. he was able to tell authorities who shot him and where that person lived. s.w.a.t. was called in after the suspect refused to come out. they surrounded the rv and just before 8:30 a.m. the police were able to talk the suspect into surrendering. six days of searching turned up no clues as to what happened to a missing malaysia airlines jet liner and the 239 people on board. tonight a new theory is throwing it into greater turmoil. the plane could be thousands of miles from where searchers have been looking. >> reporter: white house officials say the search for malaysia airlines flight 370 may be expanding. >> an additional search area may be opened. >> reporter: earlier officials

dismissed a report that the plane flew 4 additional hours after its last contact. >> those reports are inaccurate. the last transmission from the aircraft was at 0107 which indicates everything was normal. >> reporter: a source says there is no technical data supporting the report. they stand by their story. according to its sources. this information would put the plane somewhere within this region. another layer of confusion to an already long and unsuccessful six day investigation. >> the lack of data, trying to work with all you have, you have all this information coming in. malaysia airlines is not a large organization. >> reporter: meanwhile families of the missing are still waiting for answers. >> we are not getting any information and whether they know anything and they are not

telling us, at this stage is just blank. just blank. just praying. >> u.s. officials say the reason investigators may focus on the indian ocean is because the plane could have flown for several hours after they last made contact. 8 people are confirmed dead in an explosion that leveled two apartment buildings in new york city. search teams found the 8th body an hour ago. four people are still unaccounted for and 60 people were injured. the crews have not been able to find had source of the leak. some people said they smelled gas well before the blast. two dogs died in a house fire this afternoon. firefighters say the back of the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived. they were able toknock down the fire -- to knock down the fire but when they went inside the

down a street. firefighters received a call about a window broken from a building. concerns the glass could fall below prompted officials to shut down the street from sacramento to california streets. >> our units were met by members of the building staff. taken to the building. shown class panels that shattered. >> the situation caused a scene below where many workers came out of their offices, curious about what was happening. one person never seen anything like it. >> i just moved here in october. i dealt with falling ice but not glass. as far as streets being closed. it is what it is. i mean, everybody is doing the right thing. >> officials say public safety was the chief concern so they kept the streets and sidewalks

following a complaint filed over a girl, jahi mcmath, who was declared brain dead after surgery. the hospital was found to be in compliance. ktvu's mike mibach obtained the report. mike is live in oakland after speaking with the family attorney about the findings. >> reporter: that's right. he is down in los angeles on business. i spoke to him on the phone and he said the results are nothing but doctors protecting doctors. >> save our babies. >> reporter: december 9, 2013. 13-year-old jahi mcmath treated at children's hospital for sleep apnea. after surgery doctors declare her brain dead. on january 7 the state launched a probe of the hospital and its handling of patients.

this is the result. in a later it states california department of public health determined children's hospital was in compliance. it does not state jahi mcmath's name. the cases selected for review, one deficiency was found regarding operating room policies, the mishandling of records. the attorney for jahi mcmath's family said the family feel betrayed by the medical profession. the family said that is why we have courts, lawyers and jurtease examine the conducts of doctors -- juries to examine the conducts of doctors. the report does not site why jahi mcmath suffered complications after surgery. the hospital said we are very

bath room touched her inappropriately and on the 10:00 p.m. news last night the girl's mother told us the attack has dramatically affected her daughter. >> it changed her. she not the same like before. she wants to stay in a corner. she doesn't want to eat. >> in the second meeting an officer met with parents where a six-year-old girl told authorities in january a man assaulted her. here is the sketch police released yesterday. she white or latino, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, black hair. he may also have a birth mark or a rash on the left side of his forehead. police are asking for the public's help in finding this man suspected of stealing a ups package from a porch.
