a boat. >> what happens when killer whales show up and shake things up. >> that is cooler. >> and a soldier back from afghanistan is about to surprise somebody. >> who has no idea that he is home. >> see the magic moment when dad opens the door. >> accident on the road with that goes from bad to worse really quickly. mountain roadway in taiwan, you've got traffic on the left, construction vehicle on the right, this guy's got a dash cam rolling. gets hit from behind, apparently from a big truck. you can see two big impacts. traffic to the left, street sweeper in front of the guy it pulls over to the right. the guy with the dash cam shoots forward. avoids everybody else, you're thinking crisis averted, right? >> yeah. >> brakes went out. now he's going to start going downhill. >> no. >> traffic coming the other way. i want you to hear the screams here.

but the driver does a pretty good job. going around bends. luckily, not a lot of traffic come the opposite direction. bangs into the side wall. here he is in the wrong lane going around the bend. incredibly lucky nobody's coming. >> we saw all of the traffic coming the other way. >> eventually slowing to a stop. no serious injuries in this. from there, we go over to russia. snowy, slushy roads. watch the traffic coming towards this guy. that guy just loses control, had to be a patch of ice there or something in that two-door spins out. the side of the guy's car slammed into this guy. >> almost slow motion. >> you can't even think something this driver could have done. you go to the right, it go to the right. go to the left, hit the brakes, it's going to come at you. video goes black for a while. driver getting out, no serious injuries. >> i'm going to walk now.

>> right there. we got it. seals. >> oh my goodness. >> when you see the action in this video from brush columbia, canada, you will not be surprised why it's going viral. the family on holiday, watching humped back whales from a boat but noticed sea lions coming up to the boat. they were use the boat to hide from killer whales that showed up. >> oh, no! >> what? >> trying to stay by the safety of the boat. >> they thought it was incredible that they saw humped back whales, killer whales and sea lions and realized killer whales were looking for something to eat. >> oh, he got him! >> they were after the sea lions. sea lions were terrified the boat's the only thing they could seek shelter in. >> the seals, right there. oh, he's jumping out. >> saw humped backs, oh kaz, sea lions and didn't see sea lions?

>> pretty much, that's what happened. >> this is pretty cool, awesome as hell. right there, see all of the killer whales right there. >> oh my gosh. >> right through the middle of them. >> it's heartbreaking. sea lions are so cute. >> but the orcas are cool looking. >> obviously the sea lie. s fought valiantly to try to get away, some were successful. >> we lost them. we lost them. they're staying there for a minute. a love it when criminals are too stupid for their own good. let's go over to west london. a gang of six guys roll up on scooters, all in black, they've got helmets and weapons. it appears the guy in the center of the screen has a pistol. after a jewelry store. one guy started to smash in front door with his scooter. another guy wielding the butt end of an ax. all guys wreaking havoc on the front door of the jewelry store but the folks inside the store

noticed what was happening and began lowering the security gates. the big, metal, roll-down gates. one they realized it was a futile effort, started to run into each other, stumble, bumble, rumble, they got away with nothing. >> right, nick, they're not so smart. >> so stupid. as is this guy. this is louisville, kentucky. he's casing the neighborhood, and comes across annie's pizza. notices this could be a good hit. after he looks around the entire building, finds his opportunity to throw a rock through the glass door. >> but he fell. he threw the rock and fell right on his tush. >> you know what, the tip jar is empty. >> tip jar is empty, so is cash register. he goes to work on the safe below. but it takes him a while help struggled with the small safe with his feet, with a crowbar, wit just sheer lack of muscle.

he struggles and struggles until eventually able to pry that small safe free and take part of the wall with it. though they got away with the safe, owners of annie's pizza say inside that safe were two rolls of pennies, aspirin, and tylenol. >> would have been better taking a couple of pies. toppings, something. >> he created a lot of damage for annie's pizza, and police are still looking for this guy. >> guys, grab a tissue. this one is going to tug at your heartstrings. this soldier in front of kamt ra that is mason. mason has been in afghanistan for nearly a year. this video, shot and uploaded by a family friend, scott kelly, mason's about to surprise somebody very special who has no idea that he's home. the person behind that door is in a meeting. just knocking.

>> oh, mason! >> feel like mason's going to need to catch his breath after all of the hugs. getting bear hugged by the family. >> i can tell you what he did after all of this happened. they all went back to the family home and did what mason wanted to do all last year, had a guinness and went to in and out burger. >> a firefighter rushes into the smoke to tame the flames. but this guy, his day is not done yet. got to go up top. >> see the big job from start to finish. and this kite surfer finds himself in a sticky situation. >> now he's got to fight the waves. >> see the smooth way another kite surfer swoops in to save e day.

this is tom, and tom kite surfs, we believe, on delray beach. >> a come bi kol pimlation of t taking him away. >> where did he go? crazy. >> i'm glad he uploaded this. we see so many people so great, make it look easy. >> sometimes you can't get back up and right yourself out there. here, he wrecks, again. now he's in the water. he's like, well, what am i going to do here? >> swimming. >> you'll be okay. >> while he's out there waves don't shut off, you can't hit a button. now he's got to fight the waves. >> this is exhausting.

>> goodness, yeah, absolutely. you hear him say, he's communicating to another kite surfer. jan comes to the rescue. he's able to scoop tom up, take tom to shore. but the board is still out there. watch what this guy does. comes over, grabs his board, and is doing crazy multitasking. he's got his kite up in the sky, right? hanging on to toms board trying to negotiate himself to shore here. gets himself to shore. >> that's impressive. >> yeah. >> you don't realize how much control these guys had. that was precise. basic will a toaster or something. >> it helps his bore was attached to his feet. >> i'm beginning to wonder, maybe tom should invest in a couple of foot straps. >> yeah. >> tom has a big thanks posted on this to his buddy for helping him out. >> of course. >> it doesn't take long to see that things are going badly in this firefight in new york.

firefighters and police officers have evacuated a disabled, elderly woman. but notice what happens. that fire does reach the power lines, and you begin to see them arguing. notice the fire started in one house, but it spreads to another one right next door. >> stay out of the way. >> this ended up becoming a two-alarm fire. not an easy fight for these firefighters to put out. and neither was this one. this fire happened last month in new orleans but the helmet cam video just uploaded. firefighters say this started because of a cooking incident. what's interesting by this video, you see all of the decision making that goes into fighting a fire, the person going into the fire, you notice he's shooting out the window in the patio, but that's because it spread next door. you can hear a man telling this guy what he should be doing. first they're in there. then he tells them, let's get out. they go out. and you see him on the ground in

between the two structures with other firefighrs. but this guy isn't done because he goes back see firefighters w the ladder, and then you see them pulling out the ceiling. >> you're not seeing a lot of flames but there's a lot of smoke. >> this video shows you how many guys these have to do when it goes to one scene. it's not just holding the hose. they've got to do 500 things. >> they're a jack of all trades. this guy, his day is not done. he's got to go up top. here you see him crawling up to the roof, and here he's got his ax and he's got to use brute manpower. you see there's a lot of smoke pouring out of the attic. nobody was injured in this fire.

i'm so bummed that when i was a kid i didn't have this toy. this is in mesa, arizona, and look at this little girl. she is in side this spinner and you basically get in there. secure youth with your hands and feet and one else outside starts spinning. >> oh, boy. >> looks awesome. >> that's fun. i would like to be the spinner, the person that gets to do the spinning. i don't want to be inside that thing. >> she seems like she's having a good old time. this is a view from inside the wheel. but she is brave. she's 11 years old. i've got to give her credit for doing this. >> in this juken video, think twice next time you want to put a batting cage inside your house. >> i won't ever think to do
