dangerous chase with an officer. >> coming face to face with this escapee. >> what happens when the bad guys cornered, but won't come out. >> and a music video staring one handsome devil. ♪ >> that looks like our editor. >> "rtm's" own spills secrets behind the shoot and that coat. >> steven is more turned on by the jacket. >> i'm more turned on by the jacket. just a flat out terrifying scene late at night in the new york city subway. listen to this first. you hear all this odd screaming. this is about 3:15 in the morning at the 175th street station. guy with the camera creeping ever so slowly towards these screams and then eventually you will see where the screams are coming from. there's a guy down there on the tracks. his buddy is up on the platform pleading with him, trying to get him to come to his senses and

come back to safety. listen. >> [ bleep ]. >> the guy now jumps down to help out his friend. his friend is screaming. >> don't. >> the guy is down there now trying to pick his friend up and get his friend to safety. this is just about to get even crazier. >> yo. can you help me? cab you help me get him up? >> i'm not going down there, man. >> the guy with the camera doesn't go down, but somebody else there on the platform does. you have two of these guys trying to get this guy. he's not stuck. he's just lying down. he's not helping himself either. it's hard to move a guy when a guy doesn't want to be moved and you're sort of dead weight what can you do? the train comes. >> >> oh, my god, are you serious? >> stop, stop, stop! stop! >> and the train goes over this

guy. >> over him. >> that's good the last shot of the video we saw the guy was prone in between the tracks, right? >> has some additional videos of this guy. here's the guy right here. now acting pretty normal, right? >> yes. >> drinking and fell over. >> according to them the guy refused medical aid but forcesed to go to the hospital at some point. this went down in december of last year but the video posted to the internet now. apparently walked away from this with no injuries. >> stop, stop, stop, stop! >> yellowstone sheriffs are in hot pursuit of an escapee. this video back in july just being released looking for 42-year-old dean randolph jes. calls have come in saying they know where jes is. here comes the lieutenant now, rounding this corner and coming face to face with this escapee. he has stolen that jeep and you

see other officers also on the scene at the same time. weapons are drawn because jes is holding a pistol in his hand. you'll see him waving it around inside this jeep in his right hand. >> [ bleep ]. >> oh, boy. >> highly tense situation. the officers and deputies screaming at jes to drop the weapon. repeatedly. and frequently jes was convicted of rape back in 1992 and additional felony sex offenses in 2005. you see the weapon. lieutenant shane skillen said he was trying to hold out and he felt as soon as he see the barrel of the gunpoint or arc towards him he chose to defend himself. at one points reports say jes was tapping his forehead saying shoot me here. shane skillen is off action. you hear foreshots ring out. they do hit 42-year-old dean randolph jes.

the officers still trying to get into the jeep because he was still moving. they call for an ambulance but he died at the scene. >> this is a situation you can't take any chances. this guy starts shooting, innocent people could be hurt and killed. >> they knew that the guy was dangerous. >> and jes was on the loose for a couple days before this incident. seven person's coroner's jury reached a unanimous verdict saying lieutenant skilling was justified in the shooting death of jes. when you go prospecting gold you expect to find gold, not a dog. that's what some prospectors found in australia. they went to this gold mine and this woman, one of the prospectors said -- >> i looked down and it was so deep and i thought oh, i wonder if my voice will echo. i yelled. a dog barked. >> they got rescue crews out. it was a tricky rescue because the mine was deemed unstable. they basically made a makeshift

doggy bag and put the dog in it. >> that's so amazing that dog seems to be uninjured because that's quite a fall for that dog to end up in there. >> there was a vet on the scene and they said she suffered just a little bit of shock but otherwise she was okay. the dog's owner, he's going to be sleeping on the couch with the dog because of what he said to his wife. >> she asked me if i looked in the mine shafts i said don't be so stupid. >> oh. >> yeah, that's going to land him on the couch for at least a month. >> it does seem unlikely that the dog would just jump down this deep well or pain just running along and didn't see it. >> in the three years we've been doing the show, we always say, it's a wonder how the dog got in there. they get in there. dogs and kids manage to get into places they don't belong. here are two ways to really embarrass yourself in your community. this first video is in laredo, texas.

this woman is walking around this department store. pulls a few items from the rack, looks around, picks up a sports bra, tries it on. she looks totally normal, right? >> they think she's up to something because there's a camera following her around t ste. one of up toomhing all the t-shirts and she rips the tag off and now she's there maneuvering. watch her hand. she's putting the cheaper tag on that item. apparently she did that to a number of items. she headed straight to the register and you see that an employee does confront her as she's trying to leave. another employee seems to join them. they start questioning her and believe it or not she walks out the doors of the store, gets away in a vehicle, and now police are looking for her as she wouldn't wait. >> oh, my goodness. >> because they have all the evidence right here. you're busted. >> this other incident happened in new jersey. notice that this woman here is

looking through the ham section in the refrigerator. her back to the cart. notice her purse is right behind her right by the handle. she is looking away and while she's looking at all these hams over here, this woman in the motorized scooter. >> no. >> mind you, gets out, walks over to grab a ham or something from that refrigerator, but watch her hand. >> oh. >> she went in her purse. >> the woman, that's just been robbed, walks right next to her, puts her stuff in the cart and walks away while this other woman has her wallet in her hand. >> it was timed perfect. >> oh. >> did you see that. like as soon as she looked back she took off, she went the other way. it was almost like choreographed. >> people are working to rescue a truck in the ravine. but then -- >> all these people, about 50 of them, start running. >> why history really does repeat itself. >> that is unreal. >> and -- >> i'm in a pothole. >> dude in a pothole and he's not happy about it. >> what is this, the moon? is this a crater?

>> apparently this is a big problem in their town. >> what's up with the long way down?

>> the same thing happened. how did all those people know that truck was coming? >> i don't know how those people knew that truck was coming but apparently something alerted them because the person in that truck was able to jump out of the cab, was unhurt, but as you can see in this video, it, too, landed like the truck that was originally supposed to be rescued. there's the truck that we saw go over the edge. that's the original truck that they were trying to retrieve out of there. >> that is unreal. what are the chances? >> this rescue attempt in new zealand happened suddenly. you see these police officers pulling the tree out of the lane and boom. >> oh, to. >> right as they pull the tree out of the roadway, another tree comes crashing down. >> how is that? they were pulling what looks like a giant limb out of the middle of the road and then the whole tree fell. >> yes. looks like it hit their car too. >> landed on the front of their

car. >> the guy taking the video says this makes you look back at your life. you never know when something dangerous can happen. these people were there trying to clean this up because new zealand has been hit by a lot of rain and gale force winds and these trees were unstable. after they moved both of these cars out of the way the service workers got their chainsaws to kind of take down any other trees that looked like they were going to fall. >> you want to see some changes in your town, in your community, why not make a ranting youtube video like this. >> i'm in a pothole in front of the village mall. yes, this is new finland. is this the moon, a crater? this is comedian brian, and he's in a pothole. >> come on st. john's, fix it. >> four feet deep in st. john's new finland, canada. he and his brother were driving around. >>an you imagine if your tire or car hits that thing.
