. we are learning more about the time the teen spent on the ground in hawaii after he stowed away in a wheel well. and a double stabbing in a well-known hot spot, the evidence police are reviewing as they search for the people responsible. complete bay area news coverage starts right now. this is ktvu channel 2 news. good morning. we are live in san francisco's north beach neighborhood this morning where police searched this home just hours ago and their investigation actually started as a routine traffic stop across town in the

breeze, oakland had 24 and 20 at travis and 15 livermore 10 and san jose 13 and most locations in on the breeze, and maybe if you were protected and you don't see this kind of a breeze, it is there and overall we will look for 50s and 60s as we come in and look for more, here is sal. we are looking at the commute which is getting busier at the moment and we have a problem on 880 westbound and we have a couple of crashes on 80 blocking lanes one near pipes road -- pinellas road and these have been cleared and the traffic is done. you still have a lot of slow traffic from behind highway 4 coming to the richmond area and one thing i want to mention is traffic is going to be a factor coming from the carquinez bridge you have to add an extra

15 or 20 minutes. accidents have been cleared from the lanes -- collisions i should say have been cleared from the lanes. metering lights are on and it's about a 20 minutes drive time into san francisco and no major problems on the lower deck, and northbound 280 from 101 up to cupertino taking about 10 to 12 minutes to do the whole drive from 101 to 285 which is pretty good, let's go back to to the desk. the bomb squad was called out to the presidio. the driver handed an officer a stick of dynamite. they later checked the driver's apartment and that's where tara moriarty joins us with more on the search. tara? >> reporter: they wrapped it up about 4:00 this morning and they were led here because they pulled over a man initially in

the presidio and found some dynamite in his apartment and it all started when they pulled him over for a traffic stop. that is located near the tram poe lean called house of air. they could smell marijuana and he said he had bear works in the back and that's when he handed the officers a stick of dynamite. he detonated the suspicious device and luckily nobody was hurt billion decided to check out the apartment and she was later released and searched the apartment and they brought out bags of evidence and what that evidence was police are not saying. then about 4:00 a.m. they wrapped up their work and

been quiet and private and in fact nobody knows where they moved from. the boy's father drives a yellow cab by day and parks here at night and the teen has several siblings. we are getting more details about the time he spent there but he did not appear to be dirty and nothing to indicate he spent five hours tucked into the wheel well of an airplane but they say he was not forthcoming how he ended up in maui. >> we asked him what he was doing there and he was not too communicative at that time and security was called and then they asked about it and he said he was in the wheel well. >> reporter: they said the teen

who fell more than 30 feet after rock climbing. it happened on sunday and highway patrol said the man was airlifted after being rescued guy a helicopter and the man who pulled him in said he hurt his back and was unable to walk. he is still in the. -- hospital. he realed in an 800-pound shark and it was all caught on tape. they were in a kaiak about 300 yards from the florida's gulf coast and it took about an hour to get that big shark back to the sand. he was going to keep quiet about the shark but the photos went viral. he doesn't want people to band land based shark fishing. >> we just want to save our

supervisor accused of peeping inside a woman's house. he was wearing only his underwear and socks when he was arrested last july outside of the home of a female neighbor. he admitted to having a drinking problem and has repeatedly rejected calls in office and faces six months in jail if convicted. more water cut backs and the decision could come later today. brian flores is there in oakland to break down how this will affect customers, brian? >> reporter: yes, we can't forget, we are in drought conditions and what i am holding is a gallon of water. typically they use 400 gallons a day and a decision they could be asking families to cut back even more. they asked families to do that

earlier this year, they said by march family had already cut back by 11 percent in fact, and there was a meeting and the agency will decide whether to keep the cuts going back even further but they will decide whether to pump a supply which could be used for the first time ever. this is a breakdown of water usage and this is caused by a family of four each day. what they are asked to do is cut back by 40 gallons a day. for toilets, they use 80 gallons a day and showers you 76 gallons a day and even though as you mentioned, pam, rain is expected throughout this week and they are not expected to do much for the drought but the drought having

. information about a strip club, alex, we are learning more on what police say the suspects were doing, alex? >> reporter: they are searching for two men wanted in connection with this stabbing. police believe it happened inside the garden of eaten and they will be going through surveillance and they will be interviewing those two victims.

the call came in and officers arrived on broadway near columbus and that's when they found two men who had been stabbed in the upper body. police describe their stab wounds as life-threatening although they did see one man walking on his own. they have not said what led up to this attack but this is an area which has seen a drop in violence after dropping a reputation for out of control parties for many of the businesses here. which is why they put a security plan in place, extra officers saturated this area especially on the weekend and that did help to turn things around. we are in contact with sap fran police as they -- san francisco police as we learn more details we will certainly pass those along to you.
