"mornings on 2" begins right now. it's a big day in the los angeles clippers' scandal. we're live at the knbr radio studio for the showdown with the warriors, also the commissioners of the nba will hold a news conference in four hours. ktvu's alex savidge has been following reaction on sports radio and on the street. he will join us in two minutes with what punishment the owner of the clippers may be facing. good morning. welcome to "mornings on 2." i'm tori campbell. >> good morning, tc. >> good morning. >> i'm dave clark. let's check your weather and traffic. i am indeed. clear skies. temperatures will start to warm up pretty quick even though it's on the cool side. clear, cool, mild. a couple of reports out of the santa cruz mountains, also up in the oakland hills. much stronger in the oakland hills than the surface.

sunny, warmer. it won't take long to warm up. we'll have upper 80 80 os to the -- 80s to 90s. 82 starting off at 52. by noon, it will be 70 degrees. warmer temperatures will kick in fast. 50s, 40s for tomorrow. half moon bay and emgranada, 46 degrees. a slight warmup. if you like sunshine and warm temperatures, today, thorm and thus will be to your liking. we jump it up 10, 12 degrees. there's enough of a breeze that will set the stage for a beautiful day for everybody. unless you don't like warm weather, hang on for the weekend. if you do, today is it. here's sal. we're looking at a commute that's still pretty busy

although we haven't had any major incidents. a couple of minor crashes here and there. this is a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see the traffic here is looking pretty good. there are no major problems. about a 20-minute delay, maybe less than that getting into san francisco. as i look at the bay bridge, we don't have any major problems. likewise for the san mateo bridge. about 11 minutes driving over from hayward to the peninsula. the biggest traffic has been on 580. we have yet another collision. westbound 580 at greenville road offramp. once you get past that, let's say you are getting on the road in dublin or driving through castro valley, it's not that bad. but hayward traffic will be slow. in the south bay, 85 backed up beginning at 87 and 101 and 280 are getting slower and slower. kind of a normal commute there. the drive times, about 30 minutes to drive from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze. 880, 238 to thornton it is 22. back to the desk. >> all right. thank you, sal. happening today -- the nba

commissioner, adam silver, will hold a news conference at 11:00 to formally respond to the racially charged scandal involving the own owner of the los angeles clippers. he will discuss the possible suspension and punishment. the league has the power to take the team away from sterling. most people predict he will get a hefty fine and long suspension. that could pressure the real estate tycoon into selling the franchise he's owned for the past 33 years. this morning's 11:00 a.m. news conference will be held several hours before the clippers play. the warriors' coach is calling for a fan boycott of the game. alex savidge is live from outside of the knbr radio studios in san francisco to let us know how local fans are reacting to the call. >> reporter: well, tori, good

morning. the morning hosts say it's truly sad that donald sterling scandal is overshadowing what's been a competitive series between the warriors and clippers. >> it's almost like we're through the looking glass. bizarre things are happening. they ignored the hole -- >> reporter: we checked in with murph and mac. their listeners are continuing to weigh in on the sterling situation. this morning, much of the talk among fans is whether basketball fans should be boycotting game 5. mark jackson is calling on warriors' fans specifically to skip the game, to try to send a message to the clippers' owner who was thought to have been caught on tape making racist comments to his girlfriend. there was also the question of how the nba might punish sterling. brian murphy believes the marge shot rule will come into play. she was the -- the

controversial former owner of the cincinnati reds. >> she did something offensive in bage in the 1990s -- in baseball in the 1990s and they suspended her. i would imagine they would donald sterling. that's my guess but we'll see. >> reporter: and the nba will discuss the investigation into the sterling audio. a news conference listen held this morning. on the flip side, there's doc rivers. he is not calling for a boycott. instead, he's calling for fans to pack staples center tonight in l.a. in an effort to show support for the players who he says are caught in the middle of this controversy. we're live this morning in san francisco, alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you. and heather holmes is in los angeles for the game which will start at 7:30. she will have live reports on

the 5:00, 6:00 and 10:00 news. we'll be live streaming the conference at 11:00 a.m. to watch go to ktvu.com or launch the live stream through our mobile app. 7:06. we're following developing news from georgia. authorities want to know the motive of a gunman who opened fire at a fed-ex facility north of atlanta before killing himself. it happened in the town of kennesaw, georgia. at least six people were rushed to the hospital this morning. one has serious injuries. police say the quick response from other agencies around the state of georgia, that helped to save the lives of other workers who were still inside. now, ktvu's pam cook is following all of the latest developments on this story. pam will be here at 7:45 with the shocking comparison one witness made between that gunman and rambo. police are also crediting the quick thinking of parents for preventing what could have been a mass shooting at a high school in texas.

police say a 17-year-old boy hid a loaded ak-47 assault rifle in a school bathroom. he also proud two loaded handgun and a knife to school in his backpack with plans to commit a violent crime. but that plan was stopped when his parents found out the weapons were missing at home and called school administrators right away. now many students and parents say something needs to be done to protect them on campus. >> think maybe now that we've had, they should mutt metal detectors. >> they should be more aware for bringing guns or anything like that. >> the school with about 3200 students was on lockdown. no one was hurt. police still don't know what the boy's intentions were. but he was taken into custody after the weapons were found on the school grounds. sexual assault on college campuses has reached epidemic levels according to the white house. today, the vice president is officially announcing a plan to deal with the issue.

ktvu's janine de la vega joins us live from san jose state with more on how this will impact bay area college students. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. well, san jose state along with hundreds of other colleges will be receiving guidelines from the federal government to tell them how they should be responding to any student that reports being groped or raped or sexually violated. some students say a lot goes unreported because they are afraid and they feel something needs be done to improve the system. so today, joe biden will announce awide of information -- a variety of information. the prom will provide a model for proreporting the violence. at san jose state there were reports of women being groped

while walking on campus. students received a text about it. >> i think everyone has the sense it won't happen to me. i think people are nervous to walk around campus tonight. a lot of them don't think it will be them that gets assaulted. >> reporter: you would feel comfortable reporting something? >> i would. i'm not -- i'm not afraid to do so but i think some girls are. >> reporter: and more things will be rolled out on college campuses. the website notalone.gov will be unveiled today. students will be able to use it as a resource to know their rights under the law and how schools should respond to sexual violence. they will learn how to file a complaint and find a crisis center. reporting live from san jose, janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. the u.s. department of education's office for civil rights has been investigating how uc berkeley handles reports of sexual violence. 31 current and former students filed a complaint in february and say there was little or no

response from the university when students reported rape, sexual assault and ongoing harassment. uc berkeley says it's already made some changes since the complaint was filed including adopting a new sexual misconduct policy. 7:10. well, today, some students at san jose state plan to walk out of class, protesting the rising costs of going to college. they are protesting a fee known as the student success excellence and technology fee. right now, students pay an extra $630 a year on top of their tuition. that fee is scheduled to go up to $790 this fall. many students are angry. they say most of the money is going to be athletics department instead of resources that benefit all students. this walkout will take place at 11:45 this morning at the university event center. 7:11. an act of discrimination or a policy to keep riders safe? coming up at 7:30, the rule

7:14. we're following developing news as a deadly storm system continues to rip through the deep south. at least 11 people were killed by tornadoes in mississippi and

alabama yesterday. one of the hardest hit areas was the northeast part of mississippi. entire buildings were flattened or completely blown away and this follows several deadly tornadoes on sunday that killed at least 18 people in arkansas, oklahoma and kansas and iowa. the severe weather is expected to continue today and steve paulson has been saying so far, more than 80 tornadoes have touched down. in total more than two dozen lives have been claimed since sunday. we're live in mayflower, arkansas where much of the damage has occurred. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tori. i can tell you about ten of the 29 people who died so far are from this community. i'm gonna get out of the way so you can see what's left of an rv dealer. huge trucks tossed like toys. bent metal, part of the aluminum framing of this actual business here. there were three people and two

pets hunkered down when the storm ripped is way through here on -- its way through here on sunday. they are okay. they are back here and they are back to cleaning up and getting their life back to normal. they do this full aware that the weather can act up again. another round of severe storms and tornadoes. this time barreling through the south leaving behind a path of destruction. people now left to pick up whatever they can salvage of their homes. in alabama, the governor declared a state of emergency in all counties monday night. heavy rain and fierce winds reduced to tobacco store rubble. many waited out the weather in tornado shelters like this one. in tennessee, the storms knocked over trees snapping them like twigs. tornadoes devastated parts of arkansas, oklahoma, missouri,

iowa sunday night. in the small town of vilonia, people are still trying to cope with the aftermath. the violent storms killed ten people in vilonia and nearby mayflower. >> what vilonia needs now is prayer. prayer and just support. >> reporter: it's all some families have left as they are left to pick up the pieces. as you might imagine, people in these communities will take any good news they can get. meteorologists predict the chance for severe weather will slowly begin to taper off. we do know parts of georgia also expecting some severe weather. in the meantime, folks are back to cleaning. tori? >> all right. polo sandoval, thank you. >> all right, tori. 7:17. back here at home, muni service according to a new report has gotten better. the new report shows on-time performance was up from 57.4%

back in october. it's not close to a voter mandated goal of 85% imposed in 1999. the report shows that service gaps have been reduced. muni still has challenges including mechanical failures and aging subway infrastructure and a shortage of operators. well, today, you can, once again, get a sneak peek at the b.a.r.t. car of the future. it will be on display at the north berkeley b.a.r.t. station starting at 2:00. the new cars will have better seats, bike racks and screens that will show you the location

of the area. let's check in with sal. it will be slow. we're showing you the drive time. a lot of people, a lot more people than you think maybe the drive from the carquinez bridge or even before that from vallejo all the way to oakland. right now, starting at the carquinez bridge and getting to the macarthur maze is more than a half-hour drive. a lot of that slow traffic is in richmond. you can see here that by the time you get to berkeley, it's evened out quite a bit. let's go to the bay bridge toll plaza. i want to show you that the toll plaza delay is backed up to about the macarthur maze in some of those lanes. you can see -- and that is about a 20-minute drive time into san francisco. we also have slow traffic this morning as you drive through southbound 880 which is not unusual. i checked out a drive time here 24 minutes from 238 to thornton avenue. not too bad. it's been -- it's been worse. but there will be waiting to do as you drive south. 7:19. let's go to steve. a very good morning. under clear skies. high cloud deck up around

20,000 feet. although it's kind of cool here for some. heaven up in forestville said turn the heater on it's 45 degrees. nancy in pescadero, 43. there is a good breeze above the caldecott in the oakland, berkeley hills. i've seen 28 miles an hour. for a few, it's breezy. for others it's calm and cool. fog returns for the weekend. cooler. next tuesday, clouds, cooler, possible rain, highs in the 60s. that's the way it looks. we're going from one extreme to another. we're on day two of a warmup. today will be the 80s. everything up and over the ridge of high pressure building in. near 90 degrees. had 39 degrees in clearlake this morning. yet we're going for 90 degrees. that's a huge difference. 55 in san francisco officially at 78 degrees and 80 would not

surprise me. 51 concord. this seems like a -- i'm not sure about that. 48 santa rosa, napa was 41. now, 45. 48 half moon bay. sfo, already 56 nationally. it's just amazing what is going on here. on the back side of this whopper of a system, it's snowing up in minneapolis, parts of the dakotas. these are pretty cool temperatures, washington, new york city. as this system marches east, i think it's turning into more of what we call a rainer.  look at this in the florida panhandle. that line going through panama city. we'll have more reports of tornadoes. for us, clearer skies. 30 up in tahoe. 44 ukiah and 53 in sacramento. a little cool for some. but a lot of upper 80s to near 90 for some. today, tomorrow and also thursday. it looks like a rapid cooldown as we head toward the weekend. if you like sunshine and warm temperatures, today is your day. we're looking to a high building in, 10 degrees warmer. wednesday will be the warmest

day and kind of settle in there. sunny warmer, breezy in the hills. nice at the coast. no fog to talk about. 70s and also low to mid-80s. we did go with a 90 at clearlake. hayward, 81. 89 for gilroy. 85 for san jose. cupertino, 86 woodside. 1 san mateo and -- 81 san mateo. warm to hot through thursday. cooler by the weekend. 7:22. police in santa clara are investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty and school vand halism. police say three boys caused major damage at wilcox high school over the weekend. police say the boys damaged cars, the school's snack shack and killed a number of animals that were part of a class project. at least five roosters or chickens, a duck and a rabbit were killed. police say the animals were hit and thrown against walls. >> disgusted.

it is 7:25. for the first time, family members looking for answers surrounding the missing malaysia airlines jet heard the entire final audio recordings from the cockpit. officials also showed the relatives maps of the flight's route including a questionable turn that sent the plane off

course. this was very emotional for family members who have been asking for answers ever since the plane disappeared last month. officials say the plane likely ran out of fuel seven and a half hours into the flight. in the meantime, after seven weeks of an intense search from the skies, international air efforts have been called off in looking for the missing plane. shom ships will stay in the indian ocean to gather any debris that might surface. more than 600 military personnel from at least seven countries played a big part in the air efforts. underwater searchers continue fog the next eight months. there is a new development in the incredible in the jet stowaway story. we're hearing from the mother of the teen who flew from san jose to hawaii in the wheel well of a commercial jet. this is a photo of the young man's mother taking at a refugee camp in ethiopia where

she talked to a reporter about her son. she believes her son's amazing journey was a desperate attempt to talk to her. she told a reporter, i knew he was pan intelligent -- an intelligent boy who strong affections for me. i also knew he wanted to see me but i know his father won't let him contact me. the teen is still in a hospital recovering. his father is going to hawaii to bring him home. a san jose woman arrested for killing her 7-month-old son will face a charge. what her grandmother said she did the day before the killing that may hold clues into what went so horribly wrong. a family says a livermore amusement center wouldn't let them on a ride because they were wearing turbans. we'll tell you what the park

station. not all that bad. if you are driving in the other -- in the area nearby, 680 seems to be slower from concord to walnut creek and then again driving south to alamo. you can see at the top of your screen, highway 4 is slow. westbound highway 4 near 2 had 2. there was word of a -- 242. there was record of a minor. most crashes are minor but it has an affect on travel. let's go to the bay bridge tacoma, the drive time is 20 minutes into -- bay bridge toll plaza, the drive time is 20 minutes into san francisco. when you go to the south bay, northbound 280 is slowing down getting up to highway 17. so is 85 and 101. we're not getting any brakes in the south bay. back to the desk. a family from alameda filing a criminal complaint against the livermore amusement center claiming discrimination. and they want the state to get involved. ktvu's tara moriarty is in livermore right now where the family says the issue involves what they wear on their heads.

good morning, tara. >> reporter: religious discrame nation or safety? well, an alameda family them happen to be sikh, they feel they were targeted because of their religion. now, here's the issue -- 26- year-old arminder and his cousins were told they were not allowed to get on the go-carts unless they received their sikh turbans. the park has a posted policy that says no patron is allowed to wear head gear and say it's a choking hazard. the group explains that the patkas were part of their religious belief but they were still turned away. the singh family spokesman said it's baseless. >> we want our kids to be allowed to go with their head gear and -- which is kind of safety gear and go and ride as usual with the other kids. >> reporter: you want them to

change their policy? >> change the policy. >> reporter: a spokesperson for the palace entertainment, the parent company of boomers, released a statement saying safety is our number one priority. this is not a matter of race or religion. this is a matter of safety. a leader this morning, the california chapter on the council on american islamic relations will hold conferences in anaheim and santa clara to announce its filing of the public complaint. live in livermore, i'm tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. this morning, we're following the efforts to bring the wressage of a small -- wreckage of a small plane that crashed into the bay to the surface. it happened over the weekend. the ntsb is waiting for a crane to be brought in to secure and raise that money. now we're out there, we're out here with live pictures. sid is zooming in showing you the spot. these are live near point rif monday. you can -- richmond. you can see one boat.

it's been out there all night marking the spot where the wreckage was found. on sunday afternoon, the single- engine cessna reportedly collided with another plen, then nose-dived right into the bay. the other plane, a restored military fighter plane, went on to land safely in amador county. that's where both planes are based. the pilot of the cessna is presumed to be dead. this is now being considered a recovery mission. >> they will probably be in divers and a crane and try to get it in one piece on the crane barge. >> the ntsb will supervise recovering the wreckage. it is also investigating the reports that the planes were 234r50euing too close to each -- flying to too close to each other while attempting a photo shop. a woman arrested for killing her son will face a judge for the first time. this morningary we learning more about -- morning we're learning more about her battle

with depression. ashley newton was arrested after she admitted to police that she stabbed her baby with a pocketknife. it happened at del valle regional park in livermore. we spoke with newton's grandmother who says her granddaughter tried to seek help at a hospital the day before the killing but was turned away. >> she loved that baby. she loved him like any other mother would love a first born. >> connie newton says her granddaughter had a history of depression since she was a teenager. she also says she had a troubled relationship with the baby's father. ashley newton was found at the scene with a self-inflicted stab wound. she's being held on suspicion of murder. 7:37. happening today -- nba commissioner adam silver will hold a news conference at 11:00 this morning, he will formally respond to the scandal involving the owner of the los angeles clippers. in the meantime, the coach of the warriors is calling for a

boycott of tonight's playoff game. our reporter bob decastro joining us live in los angeles. you are near the staples center in downtown l.a. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning, dave. nice to see you. it will be a very big day for the los angeles clippers ago organization. first of all, as you mentioned, that big game tonight, game 5 at 7:30 against your golden state warriors. there are some barricades that have been put up here because of the game but secondly there are a number of protests that have been planned today in light of the situation here which should be some excitement seemingly overshadowed by all of the controversy, as you said, 11:00 this morning, adam silver, the commissioner, will announce the league's findings into the investigation into those racist remarks allegedly belonging to clippers' owner, donald sterling. those remarks will have to be authenticated. then everyone wondering what kind of punishment will the

league hand down, how harsh will the punishment be. experts that we spoke to expect fines, upwards of a million dollars and suspensions from going to games and even operating the team, maybe to force him to try to sell the team which would be an unprecedented move. sterling bought the clippers 33 years ago for. certainly the pressure is mounting. as you said, many calling for a boycott of tonight's game. more importantly, he is feeling the pressure in the pocketbook. more than a dozen sponsors have now decided to either pull out of the clippers' organization, sever their ties, suspend them or permanently sever ties. that pressure is mounting. we'll see what happens when collisioner silver does speak out -- commissioner silver does speak hout at 11:00 this -- out at 11:00 this morning. back to you.

guilty. about nine months ago, police arrested and prosecutors charged the 33-year-old supervisor for peeping into a female neighbor's yard. when police arrived he was dressed only in his yaund wear and socks. efren carrillo said this was a result of alcoholism. he's checked himself into rehab. he could have faced three to six of jail time. but this morning he's free and says he wants to move on and says this about the incident -- >> i never meant any hoerm -- harm. i made a terrible mistake, terrible lapse of judgment. i regret my actions, conduct. nothing reduces that, i never meant any harm. >> despite his not guilty verdict some are still calling for his resignation, the press democrat says we believe efren carrillo was guilty of such reprehensible conduct as to

undermine his credibility as a public official. it's time for him to step down. given his term is not up for another two years, we don't see how he can represent his district and the county. supporters say he should be given a chance to salvage his career while others don't agree. this it appears -- it appears this will be brought up at the next meeting. being called an epidemic on colleges across america. the initially being rolled out to help fight sexual assault. and six people shot at a georgia facility. the new information we're learning about the shooter. looking around at the traffic picture not all that bad as we look at the san mateo bridge. things are getting more crowd

employer at the fed-ex facility. the hospital confirms that six people were taken to the hospital, one is in critical condition. we do not know the extent of their injuries. we're hearing one person injured was a security guard. now, we also just heard from investigators at the scene who say the shooter was found dead with the self-inflicted gunshot wound and that they also believe the shooter was a current employee. >> we are focusing on not only inside but actually what we believe to be the employee's car in the parking lot. so we're going to naturally during any type of active shooter investigation, you will focus on those you have been able to identify. we believe we've identified fid -- identified the vehicle and will be looking at it. >> the scene is very active, kennesaw, hundreds of officers responded to what is being

welcome back. 7:55. the stomachs of uc berkeley students are filled with disappointment after a hoax involving in-n-out burger. yesterday, the cal ticket office tweeted this photo you are looking at of an in-n-out banner around an empty storefront on telegraph avenue. it read coming summer 2014 and the word quickly spread with people tweeting how happy they were to have in-n-out so close to the campus. unfortunately, calls to in-n- out served up bad news. the company says it has no plans for a berkeley location. they don't know where that banner came from. it could soon be easier to get the health department's rating of restaurants in santa clara county. this morning, supervisors will consider a measure to have restaurants display color-coded cards indicating how well the business did on its last health department health inspection. a green card would mean the restaurant passed inspection. a yellow card would mean there were two or more violations.

8:06. we're following developing news in georgia where authorities are investigating why a gunman shot several people this morning just hours ago at a fed- ex facility north of atlanta before he killed himself. it happened in kennesaw, georgia. police say the gunman had an assault rifle, a knife and bullets strapped across his chest. he was decked out like rambo. at least six people were rushed to the hospital. one of them had serious injuries. coming up at 8:45, pam cook will have the latest developments including what we now know about the connection to the fed-ex facility. one in five women is sexually assaulted while in college. that is according to the white house. and in just a few hours, the vice president is unveiling a plan on how to deal with what federal officials are calling an epidemic. ktvu's janine de la vega joins us live from the campus of san jose state university where there have been reports of

assaults. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. in january, there were several authorities of women getting sexually assaulted here on campus and students say they remember getting the text message alert about that. but some of them were too hesitant to talk about how often they think that sexual assaults are happening on campus. today, vice president joe biden will announce a number of actions to combat sexual violence on campus nationwide. colleges and universities are gonna be asked to participate in a campus climate survey to help determine the prevalence. the obama administration will also provide schools with a model for reporting the violence and handling kf degettalty. oftentimes victims are afraid to report an incident and are concerned their past history will be questioned. >> i think it's an issue where it might not be reported. i think every female or male should step up and report that

8:14. we're still following developing news. you've heard a deadly storm system still moving through the deep south. at least 11 people were killed by tornadoes yesterday in mississippi and alabama. entire buildings have been flattened or just blown away. this follows several deadly tornadoes on sunday that killed at least 18 people in arkansas, oklahoma, kansas and iowa. at least 16 people were killed in arkansas alone. that storm moved through that state on sunday. reporter polo sandoval is there to show us the devastation left

behind. the system is still threatening the deep south. polo? >> reporter: that's right. here in mayflower, arkansas, we're hearing from the national weather service, they have a better idea as to the scope of the magnitude of the tornado that hit here sunday evening. they know it was an ef-3 packing winds in excess of 136 miles an hour. crews are still out there surveying the rest of the damage. trying to confirm that. while that happens, you see homeowners, business owners are trying to clean up and get back on their feet. another round of severe storms and tornadoes. this time barreling through the south leaving behind a trail of destruction. in mississippi, homes and businesses were leveled. >> everything was flying. >> reporter: people are left to pick up whatever they can salvage. in alabama, the governor declared a state of emergency in all counties. heavy rain and fierce winds

without anybody's knowledge. it's a violation of california's law to record people without their consent. this morning, we're also following the efforts to bring the wreckage of a small plane that crashed over the weekend into the bay. efforts to bring it up to the surface. the ntsb is waiting for a crane to be brought in to secure and raise the wreckage. here's some new video. we shot this about an hour ago from the area near point richmond. you can see right in the middle of your screen, a boat. it's been out there all night. it is marking the spot where the wreckage was found. on sunday afternoon, the single- engine cessna plane recordedly collided with another plane, then nose-dived right into the water. the other plane, a restored military fighter plane, it did land safely in amador county, where both planes are based. the pilot of the cessna is presumed to be death. this is now considered a recovery session. >> they will bring in dingers and a -- divers and a crane and

try to get it in one piece. >> the ntsb is investigating reports that the planes were flying too close to each other while attempting a photo shoot. today, a san jose woman arrested for killing her 7- month-old son will face a judge for the first time. and this morning we're learning more about her possible battle with depression. 23-year-old ashley newton was arrested saturday after she admitted to east bay regional park police that she stabbed her baby with a pocket knife. it happened at del valley regional park in livermore. we spoke with newton's grandmother who says her granddaughter tried to seek help at a hospital the day before the killing but was turned away. >> she loved that baby. >> conditionny newton -- connie newton says her granddaughter had a history of depression since she was a teenager. she also said she had a troubled relationship with the

baby's father. ashley newton was found at the scene with a self-inflicted stowb wound. he's being -- stab wound. she's being held in jail on suspicion of murder. a napa county judge is considering the possible release on bail of a woman accused of murdering her 3-year- old daughter. the lawyer for 23-year-old sara krueger says her client poses no threat to the public. she wants her released on $1 million bail. now, krueger and her boyfriend have been charged in the january beating death of cayleigh slusher. no word when the judge may rule on the request. an alameda county sheriff's deputy who hit and killed a pedestrian in hayward will not be criminally charged. that was the district attorney's decision yesterday regarding deputy jonathan ham. a relentcy released report shows he was traveling 18 miles over the speed limit without his lights and sign rens on when -- sirens on when he hit two pedestrians last year.

one died. the other was injured. the department says it was not a cut and dry investigation. since the incident happened at 4:30 a.m., when generally, there are not a lot of people out walking around. they say at the time, ham was looking for a car involved in a chase. a jury has found efren carrillo not guilty of peeking into a female neighbor's home. ktvu channel 2 reporter brian floors -- flores joins us live with why there's still calls for the resignation. >> despite the not guilty verdict, some say his political future remains questionable. the jury of ten women and two men found the supervisor not guilty for attempted peeking into a neighbor's yard dressed in only his underwear and socks about nine months ago. since that time and during the trial, he admitted he's an alcoholic and has entered

rehab. after closing arguments, the jury was deadlocked on a more serious charge of peeking. after the judge asked the jury to weigh in on a lesser charge, that's when the jury came back with their not guilty verdict. sonoma county supervisor could have faced between three, six months in jail depending upon which charge the jury decided on. now he's free saying he wants to move forward. >> i think i've disappointed members of my family. i've disappointed members of my circle of friends and shows who elected me into office. the rest of my life i'll have an opportunity to regain that trust, whether it's in public office for not. >> the press democratic newspaper who endorsed him two previous times is calling for his resignation saying we believe efren carrillo is guilty of such reprehensible conduct as to undermine his clt as a public official, it's time

constitution newspaper talking with fed-ex employees who are giving very scary accounts of what they saw and heard at the facility this morning. one woman says she saw the shooter inside and identifies him as a 19-year-old employee. she says the shooter looked like rambo, that he was dressed all in black with an assault rifle in his hands and bullets strapped to his chest. >> we can't confirm that six patients from the shooting were brought here to kennesaw hospital, one was brought here in critical condition. family has been notified or are in the process of being notified. >> reporter: the just after the -- we understand employees were shipped to a nearby skating rink to be questioned and then reunited with their family. still no clear motive for the
