this one. we have a cooler pattern coming for the coast and bay. i think we all know the drill. three days and out. that looks to be right on cue here. it will be cooler, 80s, maybe near 90 far enough away from the coast, but 50s and 60s closer to it. the winds are turning more westerly. the cooling begins a good 15 to 20 degrees by sunday. 70 in antioch. 49 in napa. i know that may being a little warm. the key is the breeze. fairfield 15. that ramps up and inland temperatures will cool down, probably more likely tonight into tomorrow. sfo reporting more of a westerly breeze, and easterly at livermore. we are not completely done, but the coast and bay, no doubt about it, will cool down today. so, a big difference in the

and laurel street. the store manager and three employees were closing up when the robbers pointed guns at the employees and stole cash. >> they just wanted the money. that is it. >> what did they do with you while you were getting it. >> they asked me for the money. >> no workers were hurt during the robbery. the store does not have security cameras but the robbers were described as dark- skinned, wearing hoodies, and bandanas. and at the dutch bride gas mart on east 18th street last night another establishment was robbed. both men were armed with semi- automatic weapons. this morning we have video of an angry confrontation between neighbors in brentwood after two separate dog attacks. a 52-year-old woman was walking her dog on nun street when two dogs attacked her.

she was bitten on her face and ankle. the same thing happened to another victim later on. animal control captured one of the dog, a lab without incident. but they used a stun gun at the second dog after they found it cornered in the backyard. neighbors got into a heated confrontation after the victims return from the hospital. >> you don't know the whole story, mr.. when they first got the dog as a puppy, it was abused. >> police say the owners of the dog were not at home at the time of the attacks and the dogs escape from the backyard. they are being held for a ten day rabies quarantine and contra costa is investigating the attacks. a new safety lane may be added for cyclists in san francisco on folk between grove

and market. cyclists are asking for more safety improvements in the area. here is more with alex savage what what is different about this bike lane. good morning, alex. >> reporter: good morning. this is opening day for this new bike street that runs through polk near market street. it will provide a buffer between bicyclists and cars. you can see there is a fence, and also the median. what will make it unique, when it opens, you can see in the middle of the median there are plants and rocks that have been put in to try and beautify the street, as well. this is a contra flow bikeway, which means the bikes run the opposite directions of the cars. city leaders are hoping it can make things safer for those that bike around the city with an effort to reduce the number of serious accidents involving

bicyclists and pedestrians here. the project here on polk street also include as new bike box which allows bicyclists to pull in front of waiting traffic at an intersection. there are also lights in some area, letting riders know when they with enter the bikeway. representatives from the san francisco bicycle coalition will be on hand along with various city leaders and supervisors from san francisco. there will be a major ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00. it will be here at the intersection of polk and market where obviously this bike lane stretches from here and goes a couple block in the other direction. so, that ribbon cutting ceremony is at 11:00 this morning and after that the new bikeway opens to the public later today. live this morning in san francisco, alex savage, ktvu morning news.

lights went out to 4,000 homes and businesses last night in larksburg, green bray and consentfield. the outage was caused by pg&e. and you can see a number of businesses left in the dark there. power was restored to all by a handful of customers about 3:00 a.m. time now is 4:35. espn is reporting that disgraced los angeles clippers owner donald sterling is battling cancer and taking medication for prostate cancer which has caused the puffy appearance of his face. it is not clear how his health problems will affect his future with the clippers. the other nba owners will meet next week to discuss sterling's fate. they are on record saying they are in total agreement with nba commissioner allen silver and want him out as soon as possible due to racist remarks.

the naacp chapter has resigned due to sterling's actions. his chapter retired in 2009 and planned to give him a lifetime achievement award and donated $35,000 to the group in the past seven years. the donation will be returned. well, we have been looking live at oracle arena because it has been exciting. the the warriors will play the clippers were an exciting game 7 after this great game last night. that is it! the sea of yellow! i love that. warrior staff steph curry intentionally missed the foul shot with a second to play to let the clock run out. the warriors beat the clippers 100-99. it was a sloppy game for the most part. both teams committing plenty of fouls and missing plenty of

breaking away. . police detained a group of people when they blocked an intersection in the mission district. the protestors were part of the anti-hunger group: food, not bombs. they set up a table to serve food in the middle of the street and caused major traffic problem, including stopping bus lines. about a thousand people took part in a peaceful rally in oakland. it started and ended in fruitdale plaza, cause demanding fair wage, affordable housing and changes in immigration reform. this is traditionally one of the largest may day marchs in the bay area. this morning bird watchers in the south bay are in for a bit of excitement while two

. this morning we are hear from the father of a man accused of abducting two women in the south bay. ken middlebrook says his son suffers from mental illness and fears his son will have worsening conditions if he goes to jail instead of getting the help he needs. he was charged with kidnapping, burglary and assault when i tried to abduct a 19-year-old woman sunday after she gave him a ride to mountainview, then kidnapped a 61-year-old woman and forced her to drive to a

county. his father says he suffers from a brain injury and suffers from post traumatic brain disorders. >> my son is sick and my fear is they will send him to regular prison where he will become worse than he is now. >> he has had six misdemeanor charges since he was discharged from the army. he asked for mental health treatment for his son but he was left to take care of himself and has a history of drug abuse and suicide attempts. police say 22-year-old stefan lee shot and killed judy solomon last july. he was arrested last week. police say solomon had taken cell phone video of lee and another man committing a crime in her neighborhood. she followed them and was shot when when they spotted her. hundred os of people have been arrested in a major gang sweep across the country. the department of homeland security announced 6700 arrests yesterday as port of an

operation called project southbound. 40 suspects were arrested in northern california. agents say two of the people arrested in the bay area were a mother and son. they had weapons, $# 5,000 in cash and -- $85,000 in cash and almost 5,000 marijuana plants. uc berkeley is among 60 colleges and universities accused of mishandling sexual harassment plants. the department of education says the school's presence on the list does not mean it violated the law but the investigation of complaints is under way. sophomore megan warner says the school failed to take sexual assault cases seriously and she is one of 31 students who filed a complaint leading to the investigation. >> i know survivors. >> the department of education released the list after a white house announced the formation of a task force to investigate
