canister, maybe sitting in the back of the hatchback, if it got hot, that could have caused it to blow up. >> this is charles. this is his daughter's dog and they're going to have a special interaction here. a big dog. it is very gentle. her father has had alzheimer's for five plus years and in the last six months, he's had diminished speech. he can't communicate that well. but when he's with his dog, and when he's with her dog, he can actually form sentences, he can actually engage and have a conversation. she says this went on for about an hour. the reason he was at her house is so her mom could go out and do some errands. she made this video for her mom,

so her mom could see him talking and having a conversational moment, even with the dog. isn't that remarkable? that there is some kind of connection between man and animal that does allow him the ability to speak. and for her, this was extra special because even though her dad is still here, he can't communicate except when he is with his dog. so she put this together just to remind people you shouldn't take for granted the fact that you can have a conversation with your parents. >> i would love to know the science behind this. i would love to know what is actually going on, what is giving him the ability to speak at that moment. >> fascinating. >> it also speaks to the power of therapy dogs too. dogs working with people. >> what is nice is sometimes dogs after a while want to go play or run around or go outside this dog said she's surprised by the feedback and the support that she's been getting from people. and people have talked to her about selling this video. she said, this isn't for sale, this is just to help people who are also going through the same journey through alzheimer's like
