channel 2 morning news. you are look at some of the shaking. a 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit at japan. it was powerful enough to shake buildings in tokyo. there are reports that 17 people were injured. some of them from falls as the quake hit but it does not appear to have caused any significant damage. the quake hit in the ocean about 60 miles southwest of tokyo. it's the strongest to hit the area since the magnitude 9 earthquake and tsunami in 2011. we learned about an earthquake in thailand. it was felt in the capitol bangkok. no reports of any damages or injuries so far. authorities are trying to figure out what went wrong during a circus performance sending eight acrobats.

welcome back. they are in facing the second homicide in two days. the latest happened around 6:00 last night. police responded to reports of gunshots near virginia avenue and south 12th street. one victim died at the scene. another showed up at the hospital. investigators believe the shooting was triggered by a neighborhood dispute. sol far no, ma'am arrests have been made. police are also still looking for the person who shot and killed a man driving on interstate 580 in richmond on saturday. police say 31-year-old brie saturday of san francisco was driving a ford suv saturday afternoon when someone opened fire from another vehicle. he lost control and crashed an suv. it happened on an off ramp from southbound 101 near weapon l avenue at 6:00 last night.
