last few seconds. did he give a lead for the dog to bite. >> the dog is continually on the leash but the officer does get closer to this guy. >> looks like the officer lunged and that's what gave the dog to bite the guy. >> i think the officer lost the balance. the dog was pulling so hard the officer lost balance. you see the officer pulling the dog trying to get away from the suspect. >> even though they have most control, maybe not 100%. >> no matter the case, this what is the dog is trained to do. but if you don't need the dog services in that moment, then get the dog out of there. >> you know the guy was prone and then did push himself up, almost like he was going to try to get back up. maybe that's what officer and dog are reacting to? >> in a statement they say they are aware of the man being bitten from an arrest, aware of comments wanting the dog put down. the professional standards department is looking into it and while they are investigating it would be improper for them to
