mountain lion was tracked down we are getting a better idea of where it came from. it wandered through a mountain view neighborhood last night. homes were on lock down as a result. it was captured and released back into the wild. the people tracking it spoke to ktvu's cara liu. >> reporter: researchers say this mountain lion had a tracking caller since january. it is rare for cats to venture into a urban environment and his journey began a few days ago. >> reporter: technology makes it possible for researchers to track mountain lions, and that includes a puma spotted yesterday inimate view in a parking garage -- in mountain view in a parking garage.
