we have been following a chaotic scene after an accident in richmond. one woman died which triggered a power outage as well. and here is more on what led to this crash. >> richmond police, they say the young woman who died was driving alone in a car and was speeding when her car veered off the road and slammed into a power pole. pg&e had been here for some time and in fact, power is still out for a handful of folks in this neighborhood. he is on what is also known as richmond parkway. the woman was behind the wheel

a terrifying high speed crash. joining us live with a new theory from an eyewitness on what may have caused that crash. >> good morning to you, what one neighbor said it appears as though this was a street race which led to this deadly crash and police say, the young woman who died was the only person in her car and she was speed being when she lost control, veered off and slammed into a power poll. that one knocked out power to hundreds in this area. it happened on gerard boulevard which is what is known just south of barrett avenue and the woman who is behind the wheel died here at the scene. richmond police have not said if any other cars are involved, a witness i just spoke to, he said there were several other cars stopped in the road, in
