to two structures including a home. the fire started about 1:30 p.m. and burned two acres. as you can see here from news chopper 2 the house was severely damage. the homeowner says it is a total loss. no word on whether anyone was injured. the cause of the fire is under investigation. new developments in the big rig that crashed into a funeral home in san francisco, it did major damage. -- major damage. it crashed on market street in san francisco. that is where ktvu's david stevenson is working to piece together exactly how this accident happened. >> reporter: if you look over here you can see the scorching along the parking lot wall and all the way up to wall at the funeral home but there is no major structural damage in the fire that was captured on video by shocked neighbors. the flames rose 2 stories high

engulfing the 18 wheeler this morning in san francisco. firefighters from station 6 arrived at 12:39 a.m. he was evacuated from the motel next door. >> somebody is running down the hall. knocking on all the doors evacuating us. >> reporter: the hood flew up. firefighters say the driver crossed the median and ruptured one fuel tank before impact. >> all of a sudden the was a huge ball of blames -- sudden there was a huge ball of flames. >> reporter: one was treated at a hospital for a broken leg. it is not clear how fast the driver was traveling or whether fire erupted before the crash. it shut down the westbound lanes for 12 hours. as crews contained bun hundred 50 gallons of fuel and removed

complete bay area news coverage continues right now, this is ktvu channel 2 news 5:00 p.m. ktvu channel 2 news was there for a morning raid, police kicking in doors and cutting open boxes looking for guns is weapons but we know this was part of a larger operation that spanned months. authorities followed a trail of guns and drugs from fairfield to vallejo to today. ktvu's noelle walker is live now, what have you found out? >> reporter: there were four arrests at the other location. one arrest here today at this property in american canyon. they locked the gates since we have been here this afternoon. a neighborhood bd is not surprised to see police here but kunned that -- stunned at the reasons why. >> the wake up alarm was

tonight 2 investigates toxic waste dumped illegally in the bay area. ktvu's eric rasmussen found out that things like batteries, paint often don't end up in the right place even when the people getting rid of it are trying to do the right thing. >> we found prosecutors are going after big box stores down to small businesses you probably never heard of. the connection say customers are told their waste is going somewhere safely and in some cases it is going into the local landfill. >> reporter: every day trucks can unload up to 11,000 tons of trash at the landfill near

livermore. this place is not equipped to handle toxic waste but prosecutors say one company dumped thousands of gallons of cancer causing chemicals here. investigators say clear water environmental out of union city told customers it would take their toxic waste to a licensed facility in nevada. b.a.r.t. was one of the customers. oily water was supposed to be disposed of out of state but according to charges filed against the owner and his vp the two made false statements in estimateler man test -- hazardous material manifest. >> reporter: can you talk to us about the charges against you? >> reporter: 2 investigates found him at his new business iquan environmental but he
