leapt hill to the caldecott, -- pleasant hill to the caldecott, to oakland also looks good, let's go back to the desk. they are pursuing a couple of leads following a double shooting at a gas station. one of the victims was gunned down in his car. following his story now, in the last hour you were at the police station and he is back now live where the attack occurred. alex? well, the shooter in this case left one man dead and appears to be wounded. that was a man walking through the parking lot of the gas station when he was hit by gunfire. vallejo detectives, there were quite a few people here when this happened. the clerk on duty told me five shots were fired and this happened at the gas station

near sonoma boulevard and interstate 880. he fired into a car that was parked near one of the pumps with a man who was sitting inside. police say he was likely a customer and was not connected to the first victim. that man suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and is expected to survive. a lot of innocent people were put into harms way. >> it is extremely dangerous and maybe you are at the wrong place at the wrong time and you are struck by gunfire and maybe for us and for him, he was not mortally wounded. >> they are looking to see if they may show what happened and it may get a description and that person is still on the run this morning and the man who was killed, 24 years old but has not been identified by

important meeting and this will decide the future of their school. good morning. parents teachers will be rallying in front of their academy and that's before the school board meeting tonight and they are expected whether to vote tonight. now the five year charter is expiring and that's basically why they are talking about it and why it is expected to be denied. they issued a report recommending a denial declining enrollment and lower than desired performance. the school's executive director has said that enrollment is improve willing and student's scores are a challenge. >> the ap i does not increase steadily because so many come to us from schools where they are with a grade point average.

they told the north carolina television station she was found unresponsive. she recently canceled an appearance and was 86 years old and did have a connection in san francisco. in her teens she dropped out of school to become the first african-american cable car operator. she has had an amazing life including being a poet and speaking at the president's inauguration. once again, we are getting reports that poet and author has died at the age of 86. a gas station just off of interstate 880 is a crime scene

school because the five year charter is expiring. the oakland district is recommending outstanding debts to the school district and lower than desired perform fans. one parent said it would be a tragic loss -- tragic loss for the 240 kids who attend. >> a lot of these kids would not be going to all of these games, fairy land et cetera. i am praying it gets renewed because this school really is a community. >> reporter: now they say student's scores are a challenge because so many are from other schools and they are two to four years behind and it is located on mcarthur avenue and if the school board votes, it could take affect in about a
