an 89-year-old woman and stealing her car and being held on $300,000 bail tonight. the booking photo for the 28- year-old. police arrested him in oakland last night after getting a tip from the citizen. he is charged with carjacking, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon. he has a violent history with previous jail time for assault. the woman is still recovering. her car is still missing. a bill to make it easier for school districts to fire abusive teachers is on the governor's desk. it would expedite the firing process for teachers accused of abusing students and drug crimes. it passed today. governor jerry brown vetoed a similar bill last year. this comes two days after a los angeles judge found tenure rules are unconstitutional.
