hey, everybody, i'm beth troutman. how about great new videos to get this brand-new week started "right this minute." he doesn't know what to do. >> a man spots a moose calf left orphaned and alone. the robert says maybe the calf has a day or two to survive. see the amazing twist that changes the little moose's luck. >> thank the lord. >> two motorcyclists are making way, then the brake lights come on kind of quickly. how a delayed reaction caused a chain reaction. >> oh, geez. >> if you're afraid of heights,
9:01 am
this is going to be scare the hell out of you. the long journey up and down, one very steep mountainside. >> plus, a dude takes on a cold water challenge like a champ. >> and she wants to make a statement, but instead she makes a splash. >> one of the most beautiful things about being in alaska is the closeness to nature. but sometimes nature also has some very sad stories to tell. this video was posted on youtube by robert ward. as you see up ahead, you see a moose calf. what we learn about the calf is it's just been born. unfortunately when the camera pans over you hear robert saying in the background it looks look its mom did not survive the birth. >> his mama is right over here in the trees. >> the calf now trying to fend for itself. >> how is that going to happen?
9:02 am
it needs milk. >> robert also says the calf has maybe a day or two to survive without its mom. you can hear the anguish in robert's voice because apparently you aren't able to help wildlife. he can't get involved because apparently they could get fined. >> this is some of the hardest parts of living out here. we're not supposed to do anything. >> really, what can one guy do, even the baby moose is so big, you can't give it what it needs. it needs its mother, an adult moots. >> completely tragic. does seem like the calf is going to die. but this is where the story becomes amazing because the next morning, robert captured this individual know where incredibly the calf has found a mother. >> our little baby just came crawling out of the woods alongside our property and found a mama. >> oh. some other moose adopted this calf? >> that's what robert believes.
9:03 am
he says he's not sure if that's his mom or not because, in the first video he was certain that the mother had not survived the birth. but he does believe that this is actually an adaptive moose mom. robert thinks that maybe the other moose heard the calf as it was roaming around in the area the calf was heard crying and maybe the other moose heard it and came to it. >> it has a happy life there, shorty. >> you've got to be diligent every second you're driving out there on the roads because you can avoid accidents like the one we're about to see. the camera we're riding with is mounted on a big motorcycle riding behind the other motorcycle up ahead. the brake lights came on kind of quickly. geez. the motorcycle's stopped. but the car behind the rider we're with slams right into the back of the motorcycle, pushing that motorcycle into his buddy up ahead.
9:04 am
some pretty serious injuries here. one of the guys had a broken back. his female passenger also thrown from the motorcycle swin jured. the driver behind not paying attention, not leaving enough space for the other vehicle in front. >> all it takes is looking away for one second. >> now, this next video from matt ellerman, his first year of racing his motorcycle. the video from juken. doesn't take long for him to get in a bit of trouble. boom, first corner, couple of ryders go down. he powers over them, keeps on racing. you think that's the worst part of it the first turn the toughest. but no, this race goes on for quite a while. he keeps coming up on multiple different incidents like this one. >> this is a really narrow track. and those people were there, i mean, he didn't have very much room to maneuver. >> and down goes matt himself. this time he gets caught up over a log across the trail.
9:05 am
this kind of race is exhausting. matt tried his before the but four-lap race. the third lap he was spent and turned in the towel. he said he didn't want to end up crashed or injured on the side of the track. he knew his limits and called it off. the title of the video says it all. if you're afraid of heights, this is going to scare the hell out of you. what you need to from epic tv and #steep series. on the border of france and italy. it's a 50-degree incline. >> wow. >> pierre and clementine with their skis going to climb up 3509-degree incline. how far they're going to go, 3500 meters or 11,482 feet. it not the very tippy top but the top of the route. >> that's a lot of hiking. >> once they rappel down to a point they can get skiing, they
9:06 am
get skiing. that's the shock. >> that's too steep you can't ski down this thing. >> you've got to really love skiing to hike up there for one single ride down. >> they've got to do that, side to side, side to side, side winder type descent down because it's too steep. >> i just got vertical looking at that. >> they're at a point they're able to go aittle b still hav to weave back and forth to regulate their speed on the way down. what you see here is a white van, fully engulfed in flames. this white van belongs to an energy company in sweden. this van is on fire next to a preschool, and watch what happens. you can see firefighters from a distance trying to put it out. >> oh! >> they must have known something explosive was in that van because they didn't try to get close. >> there were propane canisters in that van. but that van is next to a preschool and children were
9:07 am
there. it was right before lunchtime. only one small child was outside. suffered a minor injury on his shin but three adults hurt, they worked for a heating company. they didn't evacuate the school? once they saw a gigantic van with gigantic flames and smoke everywhere? you'd think they would have been, kids, in case, let's go over there. >> it's good they stayed inside because officials say none of the children inside of the school were hurt and believe some of the teachers saw what thuz was going on and protecting the children. they don't know what caused it. they said in the process of doing heating repairs the van went up in flames. and they are investigating exactly what happened. >> records are meant to be broken. >> these are weird records. you wouldn't think these records would be out there to break.
9:08 am
>> how a new web channel is giving you a shot at making history. >> people can challenge my records and break them for themselves. plus -- >> it's feeding time. >> at this house, patience is a virtue. >> they're not even moving. >> see how these well-trained canines wait for their chow. >> wow! >> look at that. >> that is impress i'i'm m onon b brereakak s . you know youou d donon't't h ht up with this. .....t.thohosese a annnnoyod symptoms. gegeneneraral l papainin r ree advil, ononlyly t trereatat c crar, bubut t mimidodol l hahas s thte ingredients toto t takake e cacarere o. ..... . anand d fafatitigugue. bebecacaususe e yoyou u dedeses.
