good time, talking and he is dead. >> reporter: a house party turned deadly this morning. sonoma county sheriff's deputies closed of windsor, avenue because of a shooting about 1:00 am. >> reporter: it happened a block from the quaint historic downtown windsor, a place that looks like it was lifted from a movie set. >> every time you turn the news on. it seems like there is always somebody getting shot. for what reason, i don't know. >> reporter: did you expect it to be next door? >> no. never. >> reporter: by the light of day. evidence of a party was overshadowed by evidence of a crime. bullet holes in the door jams and bullet casings in the street. sheriff's investigators spent the better part of the day collecting evidence, four people were shot here, one

firefighters say they seem to pop up daily and they are planning to do a controlled burn in the area to try to remove a lot of the grass. >> >> fire destroyed a home in concorde on detroit avenue. firefighters had it under control in about an hour. the home is considered a total loss. neighboring homes were damaged and four people were displaced. residents of the destroyed house were not home at the time and no injuries were reported. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> >> a rollover accident on interstate 80 shut down two lanes of traffic for hours and landed a wanted man in handcuffs. that crash happened at 6:15 this morning. a tow truck collided near the buchanan exit. two men were pinned inside. crew also to use the jaws of life to free them. chp arrived in minutes, but by that time, the debris in the road lead to another accident. >> i saw it, but i didn't have

decision that somebody made took my brother's life, that could have been prevented. >> reporter: so far, no charges have been filed as the crash is still under investigation. the family isn't focusing on that, but more so on bear u burying their loved one. >> it's very hard. i had two children and now i only with one. >> reporter: guerrero's family will be holding a fund-raiser at jack's bar in san jose, his favorite hangout. he did not have a life insurance. the die hard niners fan would have turned 40 in december. >> >> u.s. army sargeant bowe bergdahl has been released from a texas hospital and is now in outpatient care. the former prisoner of war was freed from taliban captivity last month. he is receiving medical care in houston.

firefighter michael heardman's dog duke was found

today, but heardman is still missing. he disappeared when the dog ran off from the campsite and heardman ran after it. senior offers found his backpack and foot prints on the first day. >> tough, a lot of rocks, boulders, a lot of brush, a lot of i would son oak. a lot of looking under stuff. >> they also spotted the dog a few times last wednesday and thursday. today, they found and caught the dog. the dog was reportedly hungry and exhausted and once rested, he may be used to help in the search for heardman. >> >> a woman suffered life- threatening injuries and when she was run over by an alleged drunk driver. investigators say she was driving san pedro road when she was hit, the driver was ashiest

where it is, now. >> reporter: this neighborhood. on 31nd and x you might come across one of these. but, this 70-pound surprise visitor seems a bit out of place. >> right at this intersection. >> reporter: a two-year-old male mountain lion, equivalent in human years to a 13-year-old boy, according to the department of fish and wildlife made his way to maybe's backyard last night around 11:00 p.m. his entrance was quiet. >> the police came to my door at 11:00. i thought oh, my gosh, what is going on. they said "it's the police, there is a mountain lion in your backyard." maybe's yard is a bit different than everyone on the block. >> i think it's a perfect place for him to hideout, there is a lot of vegetation and trees. >> reporter: maybe has been building her garden up u up since she moved in in 1970.

how did this mountain lion end up here? a spokesperson for the department of fish and wildlife believes the cat could have taken any one of these routes to maybe's house, possibly from the american liver. >> they laid him on the river there. >> reporter: in the end, the mountain lion was captured. treated and released into the wild somewhere in the sierra mountains giving every pet owner on this block a little peace of mind, at least for now. >> >> you may remember a similar incident in the bay area in mountain view last month. a young cougar was found hiding under a car in a parking lot. wildlife officials say he was looking for neuter torrey when he got stuck. thanks to a tracking collar, they were able to determine that at one point, he hit behind a bush for more than nine hours.
