pride parade. they said it was everything they expected. others said it was important to feel the support from the community, including officials, the police and the military and huge crowds cheered on the 12,000 people who took part in toronto's gay pride parade. world pride with the first group of marchers as you see waving flags from distant nation. canada's first openly gay premier say the attendees were a highlight for her. many visitors said they thought it was remarkable she could come out. president obama bringing gay rights to the world stage. the president is using american embassies to promoteigate rights. promote gay rights. some american diplomats have

been taking part in pride parades. on www.ktvu.com find more pictures from today's parade and other pride events. the fire department closed streets after a collision at a gas station that triggard fuel leak at -- triggered a fuel leak at the valero station. firefighters used sand to absorb the gas caused by truck hitting the pump. 200 gallons of fuel leaked. crews arriving on the scene activated a emergency shut off switch. the gas station and some of the streets surrounding the station were closed while firefighters cleaned up the leak. firefighters in oakland are on the scene right now of two small fires reported an hour ago under a freeway over pass in downtown oakland. the fires started before 4:30 p.m. near a homeless encampment.

to hit a police car. then the suspect got out with his hands in his waist band and that is when chp opened fire. the suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. a gun was found in the car and drugs were found on him. now to antioch, 7 people were injured in a shooting. just before midnight on seeder point way -- cedar point way. police officers found 5 victims suffering from gun shot wounds. two other victims had already gone to the hospital for treatment. our crew is working to gather more information. we will have more on this shooting investigation at 5:30 p.m. turning now to our warm weather. a live look at contra costa county. in the middle of a warming trend. temperatures keep rising.

injured last night. one person was injured last night in concord. the car drove off of the freeway. the car hit a light pole and came to rest next to the drive in theater. no word on what caused the crash. man arrested yesterday almost got away after he slipped out of his handcuffs and got behind the wheel of a patrol car. that was result. the 31-year-old transient had been left in the back of the car in the police station parking lot. he got in the drive's seat but he didn't get far, he drove it into a gate and poles. president obama is set to ask congress tomorrow for two

cream. the company issued the recall after consumer's health could be at risk. a 100-year-old grandfather and his 19-year-old great grandson shared a celebration this weekend after both received their high school diplomas. high picked up his diploma at the same ceremony where his great grandson was awarded his diploma. he was drafted in 1941. he was one of those who landed on utah beach on d-day saying he got out, ran and jumped over over bodies. his grandson notes his grandfather was awarded the bronze star. he intends to hang his diploma on a wall in his home. >> long time coming. 7 people shot in a bay area

returning to the shooting last night in antioch that injured 7 people. ktvu's 359y l joins us -- patti lee joins us live with what neighbors are saying. >> reporter: the party took place here in this house behind me. it is not parent there was party -- apparent there was a party near, or a crime scene. a helicopter and four ambulances. neighbors say there was a crowd outside and in the garage when they heard gone shots around 11:30 p.m. last night. one neighbor said a kid on a bicycle road up to the house and opened fire and from that moment it was chaos. the neighbor says a mother lives here with two of her sons. >> they haven't caused much trouble. always kept to themselves. unfortunately kids -- things
