gives us a look inside the tornadoes because they have hd images from five different cameras. three of them they call camera probes. >> it's time for the probe. loo this is one of their cameras that's set up in the line of the tornado. before you know it the camera is right inside the storm. >> it's getting closer and closer. intense stuff from the team randy outlaw hicks. lisa and chris all out there. look at the screens right here. a few seconds later completely gone. >> holy mackrel. >> then they got incredible shots like this. >> i know i see the house. >> wow. >> oh, whoa. that almost hit them. >> watch this right here. >> oh, my gosh. >> it looks like it's maybe, i don't know, 50 yards away. that giant funnel just crossing right in front of them.

>> oh, my god. >> one of the guys from the team, chris rice, from the outlaw chasers is joining us from plattsburgh, missouri. what are the probes made out of? how can you set up a camera that's not swept away? >> well, the probes are cone-shaped, so no matter what direction the wind hits the probe from, it pushes down on it. it has three cameras actually in the probe itself. it's one probe with three cameras in it looking up, forward, and rear. >> chris, i got to imagine it's incredibly difficult to get the probes in the exact right spot. >> extremely difficult because you have storms that are not only moving from west to east, but they're also moving from south to north within a line, so you have to really play it right to get in front of them. it's not safe to do. lots of things. you have to make sure you have several escape options. >> can specialists learn anything new about tornadoes from this footage?

>> absolutely. this is probably the best footage i've ever seen with clarity. you can see the vortices wrapping around. you can see all the outer circulation of the wind. a lot of the researchers can constituted ji the film and learn a lot from it. >> we're aboard with brian and aubry swindal. brian is a boat racer. he is racing many the american sprint boat pro racing series. he is tryingo qualify. at's exciting foraubrey is aboa. you can see him hitting it hard, megathe turns. this should be fun for them. it's exciting and fun for them, and then it turns bad pretty quickly. >> something happens, and it goes end over end. the camera starts rolling.

people immediately come to their aid. you can see that in mother video from another angle. >> this was boat 76. oh. >> oh. wow. sfwloop it's right. they've got that huge roll cage on top. here all right, right? >> they are okay. the announcer explained the boat went end over end. he said the boat was not in good shape after this happened. check this video out from a guy named matt pomeroy from british columbia, canada. he is charging towards something. hurdles over a fence. this is his neighborhood, and he is trying to be a hero. >> what is happening? >> wait until you see what's happening. [ bleep ]. >> whoa. >> this guy's neighbor as house is on fire, and he is rushing in to make sure that everybody is okay, that the homeowner is out. >> is everybody out of the house? >> the homeowner was home at the time of the fire, but he got out

safely. no injuries. he goes a step further. watch what this guy does. matt picks up the garden hose in the back with regard and starts fighting this fire. >> call the fire department. what can you do with a garden house. >> [ bleep ], that's hot. >> the fire department is on the way. you can see the flames and smoke, and then watch what he does after that. he gets on the roof. matt is on the roof of this house with the garden hose trying to get the flames under control. the people in the neighborhood who are watching this go down, they're saying he needs to get down, about the listen to how he responds. >> i'm fine. it's not hot. it's not hot. >> matt did a great job. i'm a little scared to see him up on the roof. this is one of the most dangerous parts of a firefight for firefighters themselves. i'm sure the firefighters who

responded told him this was a dumb move. he is brave, don't get me wrong. still, matt is the kind of guy you want in your neighborhood. great neighbor. >> exactly. >> if you feels not saying this is a good idea, but it is pretty darn awesome that a neighbor would take matters into his own hands like this. after answering people's calls saying get off the roof, he is starting to hear the fire trucks coming. >> i'm getting off. >> eventually once the firefighters get there, you hear him saying i'm fwegt done. you can see exactly what this home looked like. no injuries as a result of this fire, including matt pomeroy, the guy who fought the fire first. if you are looking to adopt a dog, get your pen and paper ready because this might be your pet. when this doggy was first spotted in compton, california, by el dog by hope for paws, it was under the trailer, and it looked like this. >> looks like an old dirty mop.

>> he looks terrible. >> he was just abandoned too? >> they said it was abandoned by its owners. they moved away a year ago and just left him behind to fend for himself, and you can see he is terrified. he tries to catch him with this rope. finally is able to, and once he does, you see how mortified this dog is. >> the dog is squealing. it does not want to be touched. nipped elgot. he waits there until the dog calms down enough where he can actually pick him up. i wish we could communicate with this dog and say, look, we know how elgot rolls. >> they gave him a nice little haircut, a bath. now his name is higho. the part that's heartbreaking, though, is this right here. you can tell just how broken down little doggy is.
