in the upcoming world series. third time this great city has hosted the all-star game. they had won at metropolitan stadium. and had won, obviously, at the homer dome. there were no home runs hit in that all-star game in 1985. the metrodome. and now, this beautiful ballpark. this was a really well-played all-star game. they're not all well-played. this was well done. >> harold: the offense sets the tempo. the crowd was into it. the players were into it. and then, from mike trout, the youngest player in the game, to go out and perform like he did. you see cabrera, jeter. everybody showing up. >> tom: what a night for baseball. it really was the perfect night, weather-wise. and the stories in this game, you tipped us off about pitching. ten batters in, the american league has hit for the cycle. doubles flying all over the place. and mike trout, on a night we pay attention to derek jeter, there's a guy who possibly can be the next derek jeter, mike

>> kevin: just some really good shots of jeter today. my bad. it wasn't postgame sound. when you look at his game today. four innings, out there by ramirez. on the field, what did you like the best about it? >> frank: i like how he came off the field. and jeter will be remembered as much as anything else, as being a great teammate. and as a teammate, the little things count. when he came in the dugout, he gave every man a little extra time. he looked down, shaked their hand. and he looked each man in their eyes. those boys will never forget that. that's what derek jeter is all about. he's accountable like that. makes his teammates better. >> kevin: i'm curious, what would you have been like in that dugout? >> frank: derek was stoic, leaving the ball game. i would have had a tear. 20 years in the major league level. one team. and it's hard to hold back
