troutman. great videos from the web are coming your way "right this minute." few people are on a petition drive, but it looks like what they really want -- they want to get it on on the front porch. how the lady of the house gave them a piece of her mind. if you think it looks like that paraglider is veering -- >> a little bit off course. >> see why you'd be right. >> look at that. that's amazing. >> it's another rescue by englishman simon cowell.
9:01 am
>> nice of simon cowell to come out of the uk, i might add. >> now meet the man on a mission to save animals in trouble. >> you just do things and rescue things in places which seem impossible sometimes. and a dude devours his food container. >> as if it's a large bun. chomping right into this thing. >> how to get your meals straight through the styrofoam. >> either he's doing some kind of dare or challenge, or he is super high. well, you're looking at surveillance footage from a home in claremont, california. you notice two people walking toward the front door of this home. they're carrying clipboards, it looks like. >> no good. >> you see the guy ring the doorbell. no one seems to be coming to the door. >> which is what they want. >> that's not what they want. >> what they really, really want? >> i'll tell you what they want. what they really, really want. they want to get it on on the front porch.
9:02 am
the camera starts picking it up. he brushes his hands down his chest. it gets worse or better because he sticks his hand right there in her hooha. all caught on camera. >> rolling deep now. >> "the claremont coier" is tha allegedly canvassers working on the claremont vote committee, and they are circulating a petition basically about the purchase of a water system. allegedly these people are paid for by golden state water. >> wow. to they really are going door to door for something. >> but nobody's claiming them. golden state water says they don't work for us. the people who hire the petitioners for golden state, they're, like, they don't belong to us. later these two were just down the street steaming up the car that they were riding in. two police cars from claremont responded to the situation. they had to get dressed and go about their way. so far their names are not being released. but this video gets better. watch what happens.
9:03 am
they start to walk away, and what? someone comes to the door. >> someone was home. >> yeah. according to reports, this is the home of pat and shelly o'malley. they were actually washing -- their newborn baby was in the bath, and they heard the doorbell ring. shelly actually saw this happen live on her surveillance camera. her husband, pat, spoke to kcbs in los angeles about that moment. >> she listened for a second, basically interrupts them and scolds them for being on our property and doing those acts and tells them to get off the property. >> well, golden state water did release a statement. they are trying to distance themselves from this. and in that statement, they did say these activities are not at all reflective of golden state water company's values and principles. we are deeply sorry for any concern caused by the situation. summertime at the beach, always fun, always relaxing. you never know what you're going to run into. these two guys having a ball on a beach. we believe it's in thailand. you can see they're pumped up to
9:04 am
be out there. >> whoo hoo! got the hat on and everything. the woman is about to do some paragliding. she's paragliding towards the beach. they're excited because this is a thing that a lot of people do on vacation. start to pay attention to where she's going because that seems a little bit off course. i don't know if she's being pushed from maybe winds coming off the sea. watch. dangerously close to those trees. before hitting them and then down. >> oh! >> and hits the sand. and if you look at that, where she fell from, i mean, that's got to be, what, three or four stories up? now, given, she didn't fall straight down. it looks like she was maybe helped a little bit by the wind and the sand, right? oh. she probably had a life jacket on, too. maybe that would have offered some padding. did she get hurt, do we know?
9:05 am
>> we know she was injured from this. these were her friends watching, so you can imagine what was going through their minds as they saw this accident. hopefully the parachute in some way maybe slowed down her fall slightly. >> obviously all of us, we hope she's okay. this guy is probably starting to look familiar to people who watch "right this minute" because he rescues a lot of animals. >> his name is simon cowell, the nicest simon cowell to come out of the uk, i might add. >> look at that. that's amazing. it's weird, isn't it, how he got there. >> here he is rescuing a deer that's stuck in the water. they have no idea how it got in there. >> okay, guys, up he comes. >> simon's wearing blue jeans, but he wades into that cold water to rescue that animal. >> we've also seen on the show simon's been bitten by foxes, foxes get caught in nets a lot in the uk. so simon always coming to the rescue of our little sometimes two-legged, four-legged friends. and so why don't we ask simon
9:06 am
about his job. we have him right this minute via skype. welcome to the show. >> hi, good evening to you all. >> assumen, hsimon, how long han doing this? >> i started this charity 34 years ago. i started it as a hobby. little did i know. 300 volunteers and we work 24/7 literally. >> what was it about saving animals that gave you motivation? >> i always wanted to be a vet. i was far too academically challenged. i had a great time at university and never passed any exam. it's the challenge of going out to an animal that you know is going to die if you can't get to it and rescue it. the adrenaline kicks in, and you just do the things and rescue places which seem impossible sometimes. but to get an animal back and put it out there and give it a second chance, i'll tell you, it is a truly magical moment. >> how have these videos helped your cause? >> i've got so many more volunteers saying can we come
9:07 am
out with you and rescue. we started to record it and from that the tv series grew. they're willing to do all these rescues, and the body just looks at a six-foot fence and goes, what are you trying to do? >> we see a ton of rescue videos on this show, and there's always a moment in the video where we think the animal just took a second to thank its rescuers. do you think that's true? >> i do think it's true. you often get an animal out that's really very vicious. it goes 50 yards up the road and turns back for a second. i have no idea why. but i like to think as you do that it's saying thanks. >> tell us about the rescue of this hedgehog in a can. that seems like it would be kind of easy. >> they are often easy, but the animals get their head stuck in it, it would die in there. >> he's on his way home. >> now, he's with the wildlife aids foundation. >> for everybody buys it, we'd be able to save another hedgehog. we used to have 30 million hedgehogs in the uk. there's now less than a million.
9:08 am
and by 2025, we're going to have urban extinction. the hedgehog really needs your help. get people to buy it just for me, please. >> i'll buy it just for you. >> you're very lovely. ever wonder what it looks like when your world just falls out from beneath you? i've got two videos to show you. we've seen snowmobiles go skipping across water before, but usually they've got a small pond or something, a narrow bit of water where they just get up a lot of speed. this guy hopped aboard his snowmobile and goes out into the sea. you could do that for a little bit of time, right? you'd think. he's got a full dry suit on because he does expect at some point he's going to go down. but it takes ten miles before this snowmobile finally quits. it's a bit of a tense ride because you know you can't stop. you know you can't slow down. and you can't get into bit of chop like he starts getting into here. and eventually that drive belt does cut loose. and just like you'd imagine,
9:09 am
ug glug, g your world beneath you. gets himself over to the coast there. the rider did have a rope tied to the back with a float so he could go back and recover it. the next day he went back and towed it back to shore. next guy, he sees his world disappear beneath him, there he goes, a little bit of water, having a great time. this is what you want to have when you're riding your dirt bike. but suddenly, oh, crap. >> did he just not see that coming? >> didn't see it coming. it opens up into this giant cavern beneath him. the bike goes flying off into the hole, and he lands there, too. doesn't look like he's injured, though, because grabs a camera and gets a shot of the bike and his buddy on the other side. >> that seems like a really dumb move. you can see it. what was he looking at? >> i think he saw his buddy on the other side and was, like, oh, here we go. the trail's right there. just missed it. you decide to snap a selfie with the bulls. but turn quickly.
9:10 am
9:12 am
9:13 am
one of the bulls, most people having a good ol' time except this guy dressed in all white decides it's a perfect time for a selfie. >> turn your back to the animal. good idea. >> look at him, so intent on getting that perfect selfie with the bull. in this moment things turn quickly. oh. >> where'd he go? he's under the bull. >> this freeze frame here is really great. it looks like he had his head in a bull's butt. >> he was still clicking away. >> that's a great selfie. >> people obviously having a good laugh because it's all really stupid. come on, use some good judgment. >> the thing's already pissed off, angry that everyone's messing with it. >> and it's also a lesson for people, be in the moment. don't get lost in yourself. he's going to have a big bruise on his butt. >> he is the star of a viral video now.
9:14 am
>> this is a little animated video put together by a guy named adam rosenbaum. the winner is -- ♪ ooh, he meets a lady. what's up, girl? sup? >> now he's got the dig. >> he got the digits. 555 555-2-drunk. it looks like it happened in december of 2007. >> when tickets to the theater were still 9 bucks. >> still in the single digits. they're going to a bulls game, hanging out in chicago, in front of the chicago bean, no less. do they call it the bean? >> it's called the -- >> i always call it the bean. whatever. that go i recall irl is amanda. adam, the brilliant artist, created this video because he had something he wanted to say. you mean the world to me.
9:15 am
and then we see an animated diamond ring. what could this be? >> a proposal! >> that's exactly what it is. we see a lot of proposal videos on the web. people down on one knee proposing in garden, in boats, on innertubes. how many animated videos have we soon? >> love it. he could probably sell this video, get somebody else who wants to do a proposal, get a template and plug in your own thing. instead of a cat, i'd like a dog. >> instead of the bulls i want the pirates. >> the cubs, i want the pirates. >> you're welcome, adam. we've all been so hungry to the point where you're, like, i could eat anything. i could eat my hand. i've got to believe that's what's going on with this dude. because look at what he's eating. it's a styrofoam container. >> a styrofoam container that t or whatever. there's food in there, but he's eating styrofoam as if it's a large bun.
9:16 am
chomping right into that thing, swallowing the styrofoam. >> he's maybe under the influence. >> i was going to say either he's doing some kind of dare or challenge or he is super high. >> he's all by himself so i don't think he's on a dare. >> the most stale bun. >> it's making that distinct sound. >> one website does report that he may have been doing some partying. >> he's like the friend that left the party and you're, like, hey, where'd bob go? he walked off on his own and went to a hamburger stand and ate the casing. >> there is food in there. it looks like some kabobs of sort. the guy's, like, yeah, fine. how are you doing? >> do you end up having this surgically removed? do you poop this out? it doesn't break down. some archaeologist is going to dig up his remains. it's going to be bones and a styrofoam container. what happened here? >> what did they eat in 2014? it's an underwater scare.
