lands music festival. >> complete bay area news coverage starts right now, this is ktvu channel 2 news at 5:00 p.m. >> bay area firefighters racing to a fire but never made it to the scene. tonight authorities are trying to figure out what caused a truck to roll on to its side injuring four firefighters. i am ken wayne. >> i am heather holmes. the lights and sirens were on at the time of the crash it collided with another vehicle before 6:00 p.m. yesterday. a neighbor who lives nearby said he had his eyes on the firefighters when he saw the crash happened. he said it looked like the firefighter was almost thrown out of the truck. >> i saw him, look like god had his hand on him, i saw him flying out and comes back in the side, his compartment and walked away. >> another driver was trapped

spanning last night into today. three-time nascar champion tony stewart was in a sprint car race in new york and got tangled up with kevin ward, jr. he takes the worse of it but he is all right. he decides to have words with tony stewart while it was under caution flags. he was hit. he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. tony stewart was cooperative with the investigation. tony stewart said he intended to race today but changed his mind. smith was brought into drive the car. past the half way point greg biffle got tangled with greg numen. michael mcdowell had him in his path. neither driver was injured but the race was red flagged for an hour and 21 minutes for track
