[ bleep ]. this is dash cam from a trooper's vecle, florida highway patrol, has the een light, but watchhahappens quickly. at this appointmepoint, hits th trooper's car, he pulls over, but the driver of the other car is a 21-year-old peterson mitchell, and if he pulled over, he would have been cited for a minor infraction, but that's not what mitchell does. >> of course not. >> he takes off, keeps going, and so begins a chase. >> so dangerous, so many cars on the roadway. >> from a business area to a

residential area. shortly thereafter, the car door opens, driver's side door opens, even though the car is moving. the car soon comes to a stop. oh, he's got a passenger. he has a passenger, beth. the passenger, like, i'm running. but the driver, mitchell, gets on the ground, pays attention to what the officer is telling him to do. >> stay on the ground. >> now he chooses to listen to the officer. >> guys, the chase is not over, there's orders. turn around, come back. mitchell complies. listen to what happens. >> walk back. get on your knees. he's running. the trooper chases him.

>> the woman in the vehicle, but she didn't run, stood there, like, oh, god. >> look at her, just put her purse there, i'm not dealing with the fools anymore. >> that's her attitude, waiting for them to get back, and this time, he's in custody of police, arrested, facing search charges, but could have been avoided had he pulled over after he initially hit the trooper's car. this is a dramatic rescue of that 7 o-year-old man. bystanders jumped in the water to rescue this guy. at the last minute. what happens? drove the car off the pier into the water. you see the car beneath the water, and people swam down, pulled him out of the car just in time. you see this man. he looks lifeless, but he is still alive. other people all standing nearby watching what's going on.

police and other rescue crews are on scene. you see they have the man, now, the arms around that little life buoy, and they drop a ladder down to get him out of the water. reports translated say he mistaken the gas for a brake pedal and drove right off the pier. >> lucky for him he was an area where people were around to risk their lives to save him. >> the ladder trick is not working, not able to put the guy up using that ladder. thankfully, there was a boat nearby that comes. people waving that boat closer. a fourth man here, takes off, dives into help. >> in his underaway. >> amazing they do what needs to be done. >> the boat, they are able to swim the guy over to the boat and get the man aboard and get him to the hospital. he survived. he's in intensive care, but they expect the 70-year-old man to

live. it's summer time, and that means summer time storms pop up all over the country, and when that happens, cameras start rolling, like in this case. you have a hailstorm. watch what happens. >> oh. >> oh, that's a transformer blowing up. >> that was a big blue light, like, that was kind of like the light you expect to end of your life kind of light. >> remarkable somebody focused in on that transformer as it happened. every is away from the area, at least in the safe area where they are not hit by this. >> nice to see. >> like a firework's show. >> it's dangerous, but it's crazy to be able to capture that on video. >> of course, when it's storming outside, keep yourself entertained. this fellow entertained himself and a lot of other people. listen to this. >> out here, reporting live, i just want to let everybody know to stay inside.

kerr off of seal island, and the shark breach the surface while shooting the 2012 shark week. >> after he made the legendary breach on top of me, he disappeared after that. that got me wondering, what happened to him? >> to kick off shark week 2014, jeff and a team are searching. >> they are on a research boat off the african coast hoping to put a satellite. >> we want to track a male shark where he might be. >> this is part of the shark week kickoff, a show called "air jaws," which is awesome, and to tell us about it, we have jeff via skype "right this minute." if this is the show, dude, did you find him? do you have an idea? >> that would spoil the show, wouldn't it? this is about is the journey,

getting closer to the great white sharks than anyone before. it was a hair raising journey into that world. >> markings that makes you know that that's him. >> yeah, his dorsal fin, the fin from the back, that's deformed. we knew if we found that fin, we had him. >> what are some of the theories as to what happened with him? why did he go missing? >> sharks migrate a lot, spend a lot of time going across oceans, down coastlines. >> what's the reality of finding one single shark in the ocean? a needle in a hay stack stuff. >> other than the clue of the dorsal fin, sharks are creatures of habit. we hope he comes back to the favorite feeding ground. it was invedble just to see sharks actually bigger than him. we encountered from inches away. imagine walking along the sea floor surrounded by six or seven 15 to 16-foot great white
