police and protesters clash, tonight some vandalism in oakland as a confrontational crowd marchs in protest of a controversial police shooting. >> >> right now, a crowd seven dozen strong has gathered after a march through downtown oakland. there were some confrontations. the protest is in response to a police shooting that killed an unarmed teen in ferguson, missouri one week ago. kent richards has been following the protesters and he is in berkeley, now with the latest right now, we are in berkeley. in what has been a rather remarkable march here tonight, one that started in downtown

oakland and has made it all the way here. 100 protesters at telegraph and parker. a few minutes ago at a standoff with the police. they are moving down telegraph. one person was arrested. that person was pushed by police as he was getting close to that line and essentially taken into custody, right now, this crowd of 100 people has moved in -- moving in the direction of people's park and now it appears they are continuing to move east down telegraph. remember, this all started in downtown oakland, so these people have marched dozens of blocks with police in tow. this all started -- we'll show you how this began. >> the killing of michael brown is what brought 200 people, children and adults to the plaza and at 7:00 this evening

-- they began their march west on broadway in the direction of interstate 880 where police and protesters had their first confrontation. oakland police made a stand at 880, interstate appears to be the destination. there were a few in the crowd that tried to break windows, at least one police car was vandalized. for the most part, those marching made their statements with words. at third and castro, the police and crowd scuffled. >> they have one girl, they pushed one girl down on the ground and people were trying to help her and everybody, all of the cops jumped up and they were hitting people. spraying pepper spray everywhere. shoved me in the face for no reason and that scene, one person

was detained. from there, the crowd moved back from 14th and broadway. >> talking the street before most of the crowd dissipates. at this point, they are officially in a moving situation multiple reports. we are not sure of the extent of the damage to two buildings. again, there was one person arrested when the crowd was stopped by berkeley police at telegraph and parker. but again, they are on the

dragged off the bus and onto the sidewalk. this is the latest in a series of recent robberies. police say there have been five violent attacks in 12 days, all of them in visitation valley. amber lee is live speaking to one victim and learning from police they think it's teenagers that are responsible. >> police tell me they have arrested three suspects, but more people may be involved in the five robberies. tonight, they gave me exclusive access to surveillance of the most recent attack. it was quick and vicious. police decline the attack on a chinese woman sitting on a number nine bus. the person seen grabbing the victim's purse and dragging her off the bus is a 16-year-old boy.

the victim's screams are chilling. tonight, she tells me she feared for her life. >> so scared. really scared. >> reporter: the 39-year-old spoke to us on the condition we did not identify her. she said she was riding the bus home on august 6th. when the robber confronted her, she couldn't quickly remove her bus because it was strapped around her cleft. she said many witnesses witnessed the attack. >> i need help, no one helped. >> reporter: tonight, she shows us what is left of the cuts and bruises on her leg. the attack injured the right side of her body, telling me she was treated at the hospital and couldn't work for three days. >> you have to be aware of your surroundings. >> >> reporter: warning passengers to avoid sitting near the exit doors. thieves are able to catch
