mike watts. he built his own toll road because the road between that and bristol was closed in february because of a landslide. city counsel was like, oh, we might get around to fixing this, maybe by the end of the year. the road that was closed carries about 7,000 cars per day. the detour? 14 miles to go around. mike here talked to a farmer buddy of his, asked if he could borrow a few fields, and built a 400-yard road around the slide, a toll booth put up, two bucks, thank you very much, and that's to pay for what it cost to make the road. >> mike does stand to make a profit, but it will take a while. he put up 250,000 of his own money to bill the thing. took about ten days to build it, but if he gets a thousand cars a day or more at $2, he expects to recoop the money and make it back. >> 400 yards and compared to
