it's being donated by the fuller brush company. they're a napa based company that manufactures cleaning supplies. some are in the process of unpacking it. there's everything from brushes to brooms to monopolies to floor finishing. again people who live in napa who need help, need dismiss to clean up the mess from the earthquake, they can come and pick it up this afternoon. throughout the town of napa there are many signs of earthquake damage broken windows and debris from the streets, it's in the process of getting cleaned up. people have had to clean up their own homes and leave their homes because the buildings were too dangerous. they told us cleaning up after an earthquake can be especially challenging. >> you lose a lot of stuff, people have had honey and olive oil that broke on their floor. it accidentally spread it out

more. no one knows how to clean up honey or olive oil that big after mess. brooms have been messed up, mops have been ruined. >> despite the mess, most businesses are hoping to welcome the usual weekend rush of visit terse. 90% of hotels and restaurants are open for business. they opened up these boxes, and these brushes -- it's stuck here, this one i can get out. time and drought brushes here. so the -- grout brushes here. >> they're donating $100,000 worth of cleaning supplies. if you need help, if you need to clean up some of your mess, you can come and pick up this stuff. well, pet owners are looking for cats and dogs that took off during the earthquake.

ranch in so gnome a county, it did have to close because of the quake. this morning, the santa rosa police department is looking for a missing woman. this woman was last seen wednesday walking away from her home. she is described 5 feet and 5 feet tall, 150 pounds with light brown hair and eyes and speaks with a heavy russian acsent. she suffers from -- accent. she suffers from dementia. police arrested 33-year-old francisco lopez yesterday morning. he's a track coach and campus assistant and he was booked in jail with three sexual offenses to a minor and sending harmful material to a minor as well.

they're fight ago suspect in a robbery. a man used a semi-automatic gun on mission street two weeks ago. the suspect is described as a white man who waist 15 with a goatee animus tash. he has a tatoo on his neck. football fans have mixed feelings about the suspension of aldon smith. smith has faced a series of legal issues. he was accused of making a bomb threat at l.a.x. the pros should set a good example for young people. >> nine games, it's too much for anybody, but he's been in trouble so many times so they have to do something.

of floor cleaners, wood floor cleaner, glass cleaner, they're picking up brooms and mops to help them with the clean up after the earthquake. it's about 100,000 dollars worth of stuff. things are getting going about 5 minutes ago. already the line goes out of the parking lot. you can see there's a bit of a traffic jam. every parking space is filled with people coming to pick up free stuff. even though this earthquake happened a week ago after a busy monday through friday work week and school week, this is the first time they've had to focus on cleaning up their homes. >> this is the first time we've been affected. we've had earthquakes before, nothing i stepped on broken glass but not seriously. lots of bone dishes, things off the wall fell.

store in downtown oakland is closing its doors for good starting storm. there are big plans for the fife story sears building at 20th and broadway including a grouping of smaller stores. city leaders are hoping to lure tech companies there in need of office space. >> it is an opportunity, that we can now bring in new kinds of retail that we have seen successful in our city. >> the 85-year-old building is expected to undergo a restoration and reopen in about 12 to 18 months. the mount diablo school district is planning on bringing back school resource officers to increase campus security. the district did away with the officers back in 2012 when their budget was cut. but a new funding partnership for local cities has paid for their return. there are now four school resource officers employed by concord or walnut creek police and assigned to campuses within the district. >> the district is working to fix a problem that left hundreds of education students

relatives and friends for the past few months after his parents lost their jobs. well, a chicago funeral homeowner heard about the story and will now pay $1,000 a month for his family to rent an apartment. the funeral homeowner says he is helping in the spirit of celebration, not sympathy. highway 153 has reopened in santa clara county following a brush fire that shut down several lanes during the busy travel rush. that fire near the casa de fruta store has burned 80 acres. full containment is not expected for one or two more days. firefighter says the fire started after a car crash. highway 152 is one of the major routes drivers headed to southern california can take to get from the south bay to i-5. well bag pipes, sheep herding dogs and scottish dancers will be on display in pleasantson this weekend at the largest scottish high lands games in north america.

the event began in san francisco back in 1866. and it has been held in pleasanton since 1994. this is a video of a previous festival in bakersfield. as many as 50,000 people are expected to attend the event which will feature scottish hammer throws and music. the festival runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today and tomorrow. it is gay pride weekend in oakland. this year, the city is expanding the celebration with a parade. the parade starts at 10:30 tomorrow morning at 14th and broadway and ends at 21st and broad way. it includes a music festival with four stages an children's activity. lit be held from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until 20th and broadway. oakland's holiday parade for children has been canceled. america's children's holiday parade has been a tradition for almost 15 years, but the oakland chamber of commerce has
