turtles were going to be taken to meat market, and there's no real protection for these turtles in this area, and, in fact, the beaches of nicaragua, one of the places where these lawinger head turtles. a woman came to him started yelling at him saying those are my turtles, i can do with them what i choose. he did not let that deter them. he knew what the right thing was. he enlisted all these other people. other tourists, local divers, and together they all carried these turtles back to the sea. >> i have to give it to these people for bravery. they're in a foreign country, and the woman said those are my turtles. >> it's awful that the fact that they're not protected. >> there are many national and international organization that is are trying to save these turtles because laugerhead turtles are endangered species.
