and the person running up to the bear is dean horpburger, trying to pull the bucket off. the bear? not exactly complying. >> oh. >> this is when everybody got their hands on the bear. >> there's a hacksaw, hacking on the bucket, but, look, he's laying on top of the thing because they have to make sure the bear stands still. >> what's crazy is after 20 minutes of sawing, look what happens when it's off. >> the bear's like i'm out of here. >> the bear almost took that guy for a ride. >> the one who got him in the bear hug is dean hornberger, we have them right, and what's it like bear hugging bear? >> unnerving. the first initial approach is you don't know how it's going to react walking up to it. had claws as long as my finger.

he was exhausted. he was under weight. >> what did you think? >> scared and nervous and worried about him being safe and trying to help the bear, but also, you know, being smart about it. >> how long did it take from the time you looked for it until you got the bucket off its head? >> three hours. we searched for it for two hours before we found it. >> i'm sure if the bear thought about it, he would have stopped and said thank you. >> probably the last thing on his mind. i'm sure he was relieved, though. i don't know if he had given up struggling because he was exhausted or if he just kind of came to him we were not going to hurt him, but trying to get it off of him. >> the other people in the video just stopped to help out passing by? >> they were just driving by. they were the ones in the puckup, and they pulled off and decided to jump in and help. might not have been able to do it. not many people do that. takes nerve to help somebody

wrestle a bear. >> yes. >> this is a couple occurrences procedures, dangerous things happen. parachuting, dangerous. >> well, yeah. >> we have a couple parachuters right there, there's a guy in the orange canopy, and someone in the dark cap pi as well. going for the landing. without knowing that somebody behind him. >> oh. he hits the canopy of the other two people who crash into the ground, so, of course, people run out to see if they are okay. >> tried to be flashy on the landing. >> knocked the other guy out. >> didn't realize the other guy was behind him. fortunately, nobody was hurt. >> the guy in the dark canopy lands flat on the back. >> oh, no, it's a -- >> notice the guy in the orange canopy lands fine like nothing happened. >> bang, oh, perfect example of follow procedures. next one, similar situation.

this time with hang gliding. what happens if you need to pee? just land. he comes on down. you need the hands. pulls his arm from the harness. >> talking about his arm? >> yes. >> okay. just making sure. >> what do you do before you take it off? everything needs to be in place. the left arm is behind the harness when it should be in front. time to take off, as you see, things go wrong quickly. arm's in the wrong place, can't steer, all the way over, and that's a lot of rocks. he then goes straight head first into -- >> couldn't get the boitd paralleled to the ground, necessary for proper hang gliding flight. >> flipped over. calling that the oh, crap moment. >> really too bad that was just a pee break and not a poop break. he probably pooped his hasn'ts after that. >> yeah. >> last thing, his face. >> bloody? it is. ouch. >> he went to the hospital, got
