now at noon, fans are gearing up and we're now just a couple of hours away from the first pitch as the san francisco giants get ready to host the washington nationals for game three of the national league division series. new information about a brawl in a bathroom at levi stadium before yesterday's 9ers' game. what witnesses say sparked the fight. and shots fired inside an east bay walmart. now two people are in custody as we hear from someone who was there as the shots rang out. preparations now underway at at&t park, and the boys of summer are back in san francisco as the giants look

for a win today in order to sweep the washington nationals in the national league division series. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. ktvu's alex savidge is live at at&t park, where giants fans are getting ready for the game. >> reporter: good afternoon. the giants are in the driver's seat in this best of five series but the players know that this thick is far from finished. they need to take care of business back here at home and they will have an energy crowd here to back them up. the stage is all set for the giants to make another magical run through the postseason. over the weekend, a brandon belt homer in the 18th inning led to an unforefore-- unforgettable win. >> i think they can. they are at home. they have mad bum on the mound. they can do it.

>> reporter: the giants will send madison bumgarner for game three today. a closeout win would mean a lot to this grandfather, father, son three yo. hank and his son will be part of the honorary color guard on the field. >> i love the giants. it's such a pleasure to be invited to do something like, especially with my family. >> with madison going, we got if already. it will be a great game. ♪ >> reporter: it may only be the first round but giants' fans are hoping a familiar pattern will take hold this postseason. the team has won it all ever other year since 2010. but the giants know they have a lot more to do starting with

game three. they hope to finisher off the nationals. this game gets underway just after 2:00. we are live at at&t park in san francisco, alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, alex. if you are driving to the game, this is the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see a little bit of a backup especially for the cash lanes there but the game time is still two hours away. certainly traffic will be quite heavy when the game is over right at the heart of the evening commute. b.a.r.t. is running longer trains today in anticipation of crowds and the san francisco bay ferry is providing service to at&t park today and tomorrow if necessary, from the alameda main street, jack london square and vallejo ferry terminals. first pitch is scheduled for 2:07 this afternoon. it will be on the mlb network if game four is necessary, it will be played tomorrow and that start time will be 50erbg9 5:37 or 6:-- 5:37 or 6:07 also

on the mlb network. san francisco police have given the all clear to an elementary school evacuated this morning because of a threatening note. teachers found the note at ortega middle school on sergeant street around 8:00 a.m. school officials say the note contained a bomb threat. they sent students to a nearby library while classrooms were searched by a specialized unit. parents were notified and some came to pick up their kids. police searched 18 classrooms but found nothing. they issued an all clear around 10:30 and classes resumed. we have new information regarding an attack at levi stadium that occurred just before the 49ers' game yesterday afternoon. police are releasing details about the incident and we have video of two fans being beaten in a bathroom. janine de la vega is live from santa clara to tell us what police are saying about the video and the case. good afternoon, janine. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. police have video of the attack which is being helpful in their

investigation. the footage that we were sent by a viewer is graphic, andens withs tell us that this -- and witnesses tell us that this attack was brutal and alcohol seemed to play part of it and we're still waiting to hear whether the video we have the video they have. here is the video of the confrontation that witnesses say took place right before kickoff yesterday afternoon. you can see a man wearing a shirt with gore's name and number, 21, he punches out another man in a 9ers' jersey. he falls to the ground and appears to be unconscious. then the suspect and another man in a niners' jersey start beating another man who also falls on the bathroom floor. the pesh who posted -- the person who voted the video said it was shocking and the confrontation said the victim failed to alert him there was an open bathroom stall. >> they were rowdy. they were going in kind of like

most people were, but, i mean, they were one of the vocal ones. five minutes later, they had a guy being taken out on a stretcher. >> reporter: police say the assaults toog place in the -- took place in the bathroom on the 300 level of the north side of the stadium. the victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. we are still waiting to hear from police about what their conditions are now. officers were able to track down the suspects and they arrested them for felony assault. at any minute now we're waiting to hear from police. they said they would be releasing the identities of their suspects and showing their booking videos. we'll have much more on our later newscast at 5:00 and 6:00. janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, janine. plans for a temporary firehouse are underway on treasure island because of a mold problem just this morning, mayor ed lee and fire chief

joanne hayes-white met with the firefighters there. brian flores joins us live with more on the meeting. gch, brian. >> reporter: good afternoon. the mayor and along with chief joanne hayes-white met with firefighters. they agree that the living conditions right now for these firefighters here on t.i. is not ideal. the mayor says getting the firefighters a legit fire station is a top priority. now, our ktvu camera was there when mayor ed lee toured the makeshift living conditions for the 11 firefighters here on t.i. you will recall back in march, the crew was evacuated from station 48 because of severe mold found inside the building. since then, these firefighters have been living at a training facility a few blocks down the street from station 48 where they've converted three classrooms into living quarters and the fire trucks sit outside uncovered from the elements. the goal, to put up the firefighters in a more long-

term but temporary stable modular fire station that can last for ten years until the redevelopment of the island can allow for a more permanent fire station. the firefighter we spoke to said this brought up more morale. >> we can only adapt so far until the morale takes a dive. we still have to keep -- the operation needs have to come first even if the conditions are bad. we still have to respond to emergencies and take care of the public and the city. >> they came to meet with me and i said let's talk about the facts first. this is one that i brought up. and we have and we're here so i can personally review what the staff is -- they are gonna put this operation together and we'll give it a top priority.

>> reporter: and joanne hayes- white who has been under scrutiny, she says she has several meetings planned to discuss many of the issues including what to do here on t.i. >> but i do think by and large the general membership is appreciate and very proud to be a member of the san francisco fire department. along the way, they know there's issues that need to be addressed and they look to me to address them and that's what i'm doing. >> reporter: the chief goes on to say that they've secured $1.5 million in funding to build the modular funding. the mayor hopes to expedite the process of getting it built. many firefighters urged the fire for more stringent mold testing. mayor agreed that that's also a top pry -- top priority. brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. in the last hour, spain's health minister said a nurse who treated a missionary for ebola at a madrid hospital has tested positive for the disease.

this is the first reported incident of transmission outside of africa. an american cameraman sickened with the deadly virus while working in africa is back in the u.s. 33-year-old ashoka mukpo was escorted this morning to a nebraska medical center in omaha. in dallas, thomas duncan remains in critical condition. he allegedly lied about possible ebola contact before boarding a flight to the u.s. the authorities have located a homeless man in the same ambulance. he's being hon mered. the centers for disease control is considering extra screening procedures at airports. >> we're gonna look hard at every time and see what we can do to further increase the safety of americans. >> the army's 101st division is

some frightening moments for customers and workers inside a walmart in san leandro after gunfire sent people running for cover. it happened at the store on davis street just before midnight. now two men are in custody. ktvu's tara moriarty tells us one witness did not realize it was gunfire at first. >> reporter: frantic moments inside this walmart store before when two shoppers had a confrontation with two plain clothes security guards. >> at first we thought it was someone popping big bags.

we never would have thought it was a gunshot until we started to hear people screaming. >> reporter: at least a dozen customers scurried from the cash registers. >> they wrestle withed loss prevention and -- with the loss prevex. he wasn't getting away. he took out a gun and shot like eight times inside the store. >> the first police officer arrived on scene last night. he heard gunshots as he was driving into the parking lot. he ran into the store. the security officers were in a violent struggle with the two men. >> reporter: police say no one was shot. one suspect was taken away by ambulance in a neck brace. officers took the other suspect into custody. walmart issued this statement "we are very thankful that our customers and askosh yurts are safe this morning. we're still gathering information and working closely with police at this time. creek strip mall that destroyed a lot of expensive wine. 49-year-old arthur holden is booked on arson charges. he was allegedly found with stolen property from the damaged business. the fire was started after 9:00 last night at the wesley ashley wines storage facility on arroyo way. hundreds of bottles of wine were destroyed. firefighters say when they arrived, they found a gas can nearby. police say they were able to identify him and arrest him because he was even on surveillance camera. one of the navy's ships is starting to launch fleet week. the u.s.s. america is said to be economicsed on saturday. but right now -- economicsed -- commissioned right now on. ken wayne is aboard and has more. >> reporter: we had the opportunity to ride along with the u.s.s. america as it entered the golden gate. it's just now getting ready to tie up at piers 30, 32 south of the bay bridge in san

francisco. 1100 sailers, 600 marines aboard this assault ship as it arrives in san francisco for fleet week. this is a brand-new ship. it hasn't even been commissioned yet. that happens later this week. while its principal mission with met with am bibbous assault it has humanitarian missions. >> the aircraft that the marines bring on board, especially the osprey brings tremendous capability to humanitarian assistance. marines can bring supplies, water, various medical equipment to shore. >> reporter: the ship will be open for openhouse starting on wednesday at 1:00 in the afternoon and then later in the week on thursday and then again on sunday/monday. a couple of other u.s. navy ships, the destroyer and cruiser will be having openhouses later this week

during fleet week. we understand some canadian warships and the u.s. coast guard will be participating. again, the u.s.s. america will be commissioned here in san francisco. that's not happened for years. there's a long navy tradition in the bay area that has largely disappeared with the closures of all of the military bases. now is a chance for people to reconnect with the navy and these sale loorses and marines are anxious to get ashore and find out what the hospitality is all about. ken wayne, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, ken. vallejo is welcoming a new police chief today. incoming chief andrew was sworn in during a ceremony this morning inside the city council chambers. the new chief's wife and his boys joseph and christopher were invited up to the podium to help pin the police badge on their dad. he was selected after a nationwide search to replace the chief retiring. >> there's been hard times with

bankruptcy and other things in the past. but where i see vallejo right now is in such a position to move forward and make a difference. >> he got his start in newark more than 24 years ago. most recently worked as chief of police in benicia. no action by the u.s. supreme court today means the path is clearing for same-sex marriages in more states. in fact, within a few hours of the decision, same-sex weddings took place in virginia. the high court this morning without explanation allowed lower court rulings to stand. the order turns away appeals from five states seeking to ban gay marriages. the court's order immediately ends delays on marriages in indiana, oklahoma, utah, virginia, and wisconsin. it may also affect bans in six other states and that would make same-sex marriage legal in over half of the states and the

district of columbia. a slightly cooler day shaping up around the bay area. giving you a live yok outside our doors and into san francisco where we have a mild one underway at this hour. for the giants' game this afternoon, beautiful weather in store. i will have a look at those numbers coming up. we do have fog along the coastline. i do think it will be hugging the coastline at least for most of the day. areas like pacifica, half moon bay, right near the golden gate bridge. santa cruz, you are mostly sunny this afternoon. the onshore breeze continues. it's a weak one but again helping to drive our temperatures down a few degrees this afternoon. areas anywhere from 2 to 4 to even 6 degrees below yesterday. livermore, 86 degrees. that's a warm day but 2 degrees shy of yesterday at this hour. 862 in concord. a lot of 70s. 66 in san francisco. with mostly cloudy skies it's a cool one right now at half moon bay, 61 degrees. so the ridge of high pressure that has been bringing us the very warm weather continues to

weaken, slopely with each passing day. it's beginning to shift and it will be pushed along as we continue this cooling trend for the few days ahead. we'll remain with fog at the coast. a little bit cooler for areas especially around the bay. inland it will be another warm one. we'll see temperatures shave a few degrees for the afternoon. but the trend is going to continue and i think thursday is actually probably going to be the day we bottom out. going to see the giants' play this afternoon, first pitch 2:07. 72 degrees. a light breeze. mostly sunny skies. a beautiful day at the ballpark. here's a look at the afternoon highs for the north bay, 90 degrees for napa. upper 80s in san rafael. 79 for sausalito. to the east bay, 82 in oakland, 92 pleasanton, 93 in antioch. still very warm but temperatures continuing to fall. we're taking baby steps on this cooling trend. 87 san jose. 87 sunnyvale. for the afternoon, san bruno,

80 degrees. 89 redwood city. the extended forecast here, again, the temperatures with each passing day continuing to move in a downward direction. thursday looks to be the coolest day with upper 70s in the forecast for the inland 60s. 60s at the coast. it looks like we'll be warming it back up in time for the weekend. but not as hot as the trend we're coming off of. >> boy, it was hot. is that orange a coincidence? >> perhaps. stocks slightly lower due to concerns about interest rates. on wednesday, the fed is due to release minutes of its pollty meeting. investors will be watching for clues about the likely timing of any interest hike. the dow actually turned around. it's up 4 right now. the nasdaq, though, down 10 and s&p is flat. hewlett-packard's stock is up over 5% after confirming it plans to split into two separate companies. the palo alto-based company says the new hp, inc will focus on personal computers and printers. and the new hewlett-packard enterprise will handle software and technology infrastructure including cloud-based services. the plan includes 5,000 job cuts with a pledge to invest the money saved into research

and development. 2 investigates looks into complaints from moving company customers and discovers a web of tricky tactics used by some firms that could end up adding big bucks to your bill. a deputy district attorney tells us he's uncovered all sorts of schemes to rip off customers. they include inflated fees, estimates that suddenly double, even people's belongings being held hostage. and there is a common but legal practice in the industry that could leave you vulnerable. some customers complain the job was subcontracted to another company without their knowledge. >> that's an area that's right for abuse actually for a broker to muddy the waters, to not distinguish their services from the moving company's services when, in fact, they may be the front for the scamming moving company. >> tonight, we expose some of
