commuters. we have a 20 to 25 minute drive time from this side to the san francisco exits. no problems there. we also checked with b.a.r.t. if you want to catch a train into the city, that system is running without delays. 880 north and southbound, driving from downtown oakland to the airport exit, should be about a 50 minute drive for you. a lot of slow truck traffic over the altamonte pass. some slow traffic as well as you drive over the 680interchange. this gets bad, a little later. right now is a good time to go. 6:02. let's go back to the desk. san francisco fire chief joanne hayes white may face a vote of no confidence. her job of chief will be evaluated less than three weekings after the firefighters union asked for her

resignation. >> tara moriarty has more. there is another report of a poor ambulance response time. >> reporter: this could impact. an elderly man died after waiting too long. the man suffered a heart attack as crews were evacuating an apartment building because of a carbon monoxide leak. 5:30 a.m. an aim plains were called, the ambulance arrived at 5:50. poor ambulance response time has been an issue for chief joanne hayes white. the chief has said that 16 new paramedics that hit the streets a few weeks ago has helped the

situation. others say it's the use of private ambulance companies that the city and kuehn at this are not contracted to that eased the problem slightly. we reached out to the chief to get a response. many have voted to out the chief. she says that mayor ed lee is backing here and they are trying to solve the ambulance and staffing shortage. >> all right, tara. we are learning more a sting operation that targeted alleged unlicensed contractors suspected of preying on victims of earthquake in napa. you have video of that under cover operation, al is it. >> good morning to you. after a disaster, unlicensed contractors come out of the wood works and unsuspecting

homeless like criminals. here in the bay area, both san francisco and palo alto passed so-called sit-lie ordinances banning people from sitting or lying on sidewalks or in or public places. the proposed bill of rights would let the homeless move freely, sleep in public places, sleep in parked cars and eat and exchange food in public. starting in january, the coalition says they'll push for legislation in california, oregon and colorado. b.a.r.t.'s board of director will meet to talk about expanding the service. they will increase bus services between san francisco and the east pavement the bus services would run every 20 minutes between 12:30 and 2:00 a.m. am. many b.a.r.t. riders complained they have no way it get home when b.a.r.t.

welcome back to the morning news time 6:13. police in palo alto are trying to determine if the same man is guilty of two indecent exposh our incidents in two days happening within a half mile of each other. take a look at this vague police sketch of the man. this is based on one victim's description. he is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s with short brown hair. a man in a pickup truck exposed himself to a 14-year-old girl. a man in an older volvo sedan exposed himself to a 10-year- old girl who was out walking her dog. police have increased their patrols near schools and

conducting surveillance. and an east bay school is warning parents about a man spotted sitting in his car just outside the school. witnesses say he was taking pictures of students. >> kids will no longer be walking to starbucks on fridays and i'm here picking them up every day. >> i'm definitely concerned about it. i'm also hope that go this is being communicated to other parts of pleasanton. >> the school hats sent parents a letter warning them of the suspicious man described as a white male in his 40s or 50s, believed to be drying a red volkswagen bug or burgundy pt cruiser. police in santa rosa arrested a second suspect in a jewelry store robbery. the press democrats reports that johnny tasker douglas was arrested in connection with a robbery in july at the bennett valley jewelry store where an employee was shot.

the dead of a man. >> this particular incident is under review by the department of emergency communication as well as the fire didn't. we are here on 23rd and taraville in which firefighters responded to a call after an old derly man ended up dying waiting for an ambulance too long. the man suffered a heart attack yesterday morning as crews were evacuating the apartment building because of a koirks leak. dispatch records obtained by ktvu shows an ambulance was called at 5:37 a.m. and a private ambulance arrived at 5:55 a.m. that's an 18-minute wait. the maximum response time allowed is 10 minutes for a a life threatening call. paramedics were unable to revive the man and an autopsy is planned. poor ambulance response time has been an issue for chief joanne hayes white. ktvu has chronicled ambulance response time that have taken in some cases two hours long.

the chief has said that new paramedics hitting the streets has helped. others say the reason is because of private companies that the city has not contracted with. the firefighters union, all the 'em eye owes work group have asked for her ouster and that she needs to do. but she says she does have mayor real estate's backing and she plans to work together with him to end this shortage now more cases of an enterovirus in the city. a child was admitted to the hospital with enterovirus but is now said to be in good condition. contra costa, san that cruz,

channel 2 morning news at 6:55. an offduty police officer shot and killed a teenage another st. louis sparking protest. the officer was working a second job for a security company last night when he approached three young african american men. he chased of a them. when they started running, he caught up to one of the teen agers who had a handgun. the officer and the teen struggled and the teen fired at least three round at the officer. the officer then fired at least 17 rounds and killed one of the teenagers. protesters say that the shooting like the michael brown shooting in ferguson is another example of excessive force. time is 6:56. back here at home, san francisco police will hold a town hall meeting 6:00 about the tuesday night police shooting near at&t park. police were patrol that area near the giants game part of a crime crackdown the man who was shot and killed was an armed car burglary suspect identified
