touchdown. >> we are going to head to china for a video of firefighters, policemen. they are headed into what looks like a desolate area and they have a ladder. what do you think they are going to do with this ladder? >> rescue somebody stuck in the mud. >> wow. you are exactly right. they are not using the ladder to climb down a hole or climb down anything. they are using it to create surface area. you see them put this across what looks like dried, cracked mud. look off in the distance there. it's an elderly man. this man was stuck here 20 hours. he is completely exhausted. his vital signs are weak. they are digging to get some of

the mud around his shoulders. they are able to tie the rope just underneath his arms. these firefighters start pulling and are able to get this man free. it's so hard to watch as you see him come out of the mud. again, this is just a really wide open area. you just see this poor man being dragged covered in mud across this dry, caked mud. the poor guy has to walk to safety. he is expected to recover. you've got to be careful crossing the street. all kinds of crazy stuff happens. you know what you don't try to do in russia? try to steal from this lady. two dummies run into this store with guns drawn. they are wearing masks and try to intimidate her giving them the cash in the register. you know what she does? she starts swinging at them with

her bare hands. one guy swings, trying to hit her. she grabs a bottle of something and starts swinging it at them. they run away from her out of the store. >> empty handed. >> obviously the pistols were fake or not loaded. >> this happened in australia. unfortunately, while a butcher was at his job in the shop, these guys decided to take his scooter. even though they struggle a little bit to pick it up and take it, they do manage to load it up and drive off. >> come on. >> the good part is these geniuses backed up the car with their number plates. they are not going to be that hard to find. >> the owner of the scooter did take this video to police but police did not get a match.

they ended up getting away with the scooter worth about $970. >> i can confidently say this is the most cinematically awesome video. it's called "after glow" put out in association with thomas skis featuring some of the best skiers out there. these guys went out to the wilderness and to some resorts. it was an incredible logistics nightmare to pull this off. they've got eight main lights lighting up the snows on the hill, eight generators and miles of extension cords, plus custom made l.e.d. lights they are wearing. ski gear had to be custom fit with individual lights.

this starts out interestingly teaching us the origin of the jack-o-lantern. the legend of a man named jack who lives in ireland. he mad a bad deal with the devil and got stuck between heaven and hell. he carved a lantern and called it jack-o-lantern. as tradition in ireland, they would carve these to scare away jack and scary things. a lot of irish came over to the united states of america bringing the tradition. they found pumpkins. there you go. >> cool. >> wouldn't it be a great idea to take a jack-o-lantern, stick it in liquid nitrogen and shatter it with stuff?
