>> it looks cool. the system left behind a lot of cool air. all systems go for sunshine and nice temperatures. 72 first pitch at 5:07. not a cloud in the sky. i was just taking a look out of the middle of the country. we have a few high clouds. that will be it. any precip will be light. there could be some light rain from cape mendocino north. for us, mostly sunny, partly cloudy skies. a lot of cloud cover continuing to take aim but mainly in northern california where there could be hefty totals. 40s for many. napa. fairfield is in at 42. walnut creek one location says 44. redwood city is in there. santa rosa at 46. 49 sunnyvale. 49 morgan hill. even cooler for gilroy and los gatos. saratoga, upper 40s, 50s. if you thought it was cool, it is. machine.

partly cloudy to the north. there will be more clouds to the north. but 60s and also 70s. all right, sal. how is everything, okay? >> i'm gonna make a resolution to be ready when you toss to me and not look at my computer. let's do it again. >> okay, 3, 2, 1. okay, sal, how is everything in traffic. >> great, steve. thank you for asking. glad we had this conversation. traffic is doing nicely in most areas when it comes to the normal commute. i say nice, i'm saying nice for this time of the morning. it won't be a walk in the park. let's take a look at northbound 101. you can see a little bit of slow traffic here but fortunately, there is an alternate. that would be 280. it's not that bad right now if you are driving into the valley. you can avoid highway 101 and one of the reasons why 101 is slow is there is a crash in sunnyvale. 280 is not that bad. let's go to the maps. if you are in the south part of the valley, see, 85 doesn't look that bad yet. i say yet because you only have a little bit of time to get

away from all of this trouble on 101. a couple of fender-benders on the way in sunnyvale. the bay bridge toll plaza is backed up. 20, 25 minutes. those plates have been removed from the bridge. that's old news now and traffic is looking very normal into the city. trains, b.a.r.t. and caltrain according to their agencies are on time in and out of the city. back to the desk. ♪ don't stop believin' >> that's tori's song. 2014 world series will start in just about ten hours from right now. the kansas city royals are in it for the first time since they won the title 29 years ago. but the giants are looking for their third ring in five seasons. in fact, the giants have been working out, rather nicely at kauffman stadium in kansas city. madison bumgarner will start game one tonight. he will face james shields of the royals. the city of san francisco is a sea of orange and black.

shot and killed the teenager. he mistook his toy rifle for a real rifle. the city of oakland changing the way 911 calls are routed in oakland and this could help improve response times. oakland police say they hope to start handling some 911 calls directly by the end of the year. 911 calls right now are routed to a chp dispatch center in vallejo before they are transferred to oakland's dispatch center. >> the delay for us comes from a couple of areas. one is ensuring that we have enough staff to handle the calls. >> the average wait time to speak to an oakland 911 dispatcher was 20 to 30 seconds in september but that's up significantly from september last year when the average wait time was 13 to 16 seconds.

national guidelines call for 911 calls to be answered in ten seconds or less. 7:10. we're expecting to learn more details about the plans to deal with the steel plates that caused a huge traffic backup on the bay bridge last week. caltrans already pulled the plates but still needs to replace the expansion joints the plates were covering. the chronicle reports, caltrans plans to use temporary paving to smooth out the approach of the edges of the steel plates. that would create a mini ramp to ease vehicles up onto and then up over the plate. that creates such a huge backup for friday morning for people trying to get into san francisco. >> hope they get it fixed. a horrifying incident. it happened in pleasant hill. coming up in 22 minutes, more about a search for a man police say attacked a woman in a parking lot and tried to tear off her clothes. >> reporter: is the south bay ready to handle a case of ebola if it happens here.

gonna talk about. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning. well, in about an hour there will be a meeting here outside of the county building. supervisors have been talking to local nurses and trying to find out if they feel like they are prepared to handle ebola cases, while the santa clara county public health department says the risk to ebola to people who live here is rare, county officials are concerned. supervisors chavez and cortese have asked the county to update the board on the training of hospital staff and first responders on ebola exposure and medical waste. they also want the status on the availability of specialized equipment and the strategic planning when it comes to transporting exposed individuals and how to handle transportation hubs like airports and train stations. governor brown is meeting with california's largest nurses' union and in oakland, nurses will be holding a rally at the

department of industrial relations to adopt stronger safety standards. the president of the registered nurses professional association in the county will be at the news conference here this morning. it should be very interesting to hear what she has to say on how she feels the situation is here in the county. reporting live from san jose, janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, janine. healthcare workers are using a new technique to stop the spread of ebola. it comes in the form of a child's toy. giant microbes incorporated specializes in stuffed toys based on viruses, disease and everyday ailments. the company says in the past few weeks, it has sold out of its entire line of ebola toys. it says its biggest customers are the world health organization and the american red cross. they mainly use these toys as a teaching tool to help stop the spread of the disease. some of the other illness inspired toys include the stomach flu, chickenpox and

even bad breath. 7:16. new studies out about common medical mistakes that every eight minutes. 1700 children under the age of 6 were given the wrong meditation or the wrong dosage during a ten-year span. 94% of them did not need medical treatment but the errors led to 25 deaths and 1900 admissions to critical care facilities. the problems involve liquid medication. it can be hard to measure correctly and for many people it can be confusing. getting medical marijuana delivered to your front door could be as easy as using your smartphone. a new app called nest drop is designed for medical marijuana users only. first the app must confirm that the user has permission from a

doctor to obtain medical marijuana, then people can order their marijuana and a delivery person will bring it to their door within an hour. the creators of the app plan to expand to other cities with medical marijuana dispensaries. 7:18. hey, sal, highway 101 in san jose, how does that look? >> not very good. as a matter of fact, we have a crash clearing out of the way. northbound 101 at the montague expressway, it's improved because they have it over to the left-hand side. remember last -- i don't know if you were watching ten minutes ago, but last time 85 was doing well, everyone found out about that. now we have a big backup on highway 85 coming up into cupertino. that was fast. people are hearing about this crash. there's also a new crash, southbound 680 at the 580 interchange involving a motorcycle. 580 traffic is slow by coming from the altamont pass into livermore. bay bridge toll plaza, about a 25-minute delay into san francisco and the best

welcome back. people who live in a busy san jose neighborhood they are fighting to developers who want to build a new complex near santana row. the debate is over property on williams road at winchester boulevard. many who live there say the plan development is just too big. >> answer my question. >> more than 200 people packed this meeting last night with the developer. neighbors sounded off about a plan to tear down the apartments. the developer wants to replace the two-story complex with a

six-story building that would have 650 apartments and include retail space. >> if they want to buy the property and work with us the way it's zoned right note, we don't have a problem -- right now, we don't have a problem right now. but to come in and build a structure in our backyard, that's not okay. >> neighbors are worried about traffic, parking and their privacy. the developer says the plan would help provide housing for the people who are gonna fill 4600 new jobs predicted for the area. staffers will collect comments before they give their recommendations to the planning commission. a driver for uber x in san francisco is accused of driving a woman out of the car and destroying her phone. according to the san francisco chronicle, martin and the woman got into a disagreement saturday over the address of her destination. the man pulled over on jones street and allegedly dragged the woman out of the car. when she pulled out her phone to take a picture, the man

reportedly grabbed the phone and threw it on the street. the woman flagged down a police officer and the driver was cited and released. she says she sent four messages to uber but the company did not respond until 20 hours later. you may remember uber was criticized last month when another driver allegedly hit a passenger in the head with a hammer over a route dispatch. the passenger may lose an eye as a result of that attack. well, despite some of these bad experiences, ride sharing companies are still booming in popularity. after the break, the major deal involving ride sharing companies that could make your life easier and the one group of people who are not happy about the new development. >> reporter: pleasant hill police searching for the man who carried out a sexual assault on a woman in the parking lot of an apartment complex. we'll tell you what information is being revealed about the attacker and how the victim was able to get pay way.

let's go to the toll plaza. at the bay bridge toll plaza, you can see traffic is backed up here. it's backed up to the macarthur maze. about a 25, 30-minute delay getting into san francisco. no particular problems. it's busy getting into the city. 880 still looks good. southbound is okay. as you get farther south, we can go to the maps. if we get farther south, you can see the traffic will be slower on southbound 880 driving through to hayward area and down to fremont. now, i do want to mention, look at northbound 101. this is horrible. it started to clear up after a crash northbound 101 at the montague expressway that cleared up to the side. but man, this is just terrible. all of the other freeways in the south bay getting into the valley have slowed way down. you know someone who commutes to your job place, they are gonna be late. back to the desk. well, pleasant hill police right now, searching for a man blamed for a very disturbing

sexual assault. ktvu's alex savidge joining us live now to tell us who police are searching for and how the victim got away. good morning, alex. >> reporter: good morning. certainly unnerving for neighbors. and a scary situation for the victim. this woman was attacked in the parking lot of this apartment complex where we are this morning. this is on the 300 block of campbellback road. this all happened early on sunday morning, around 1:30 a.m. pleasant hill police say a man snuck up behind the woman and that's when investigators say the man tried to remove the woman's underwear. the victim screamed. that scared off the attacker. the man then ran off. now, police put out this description of the man they are looking for in connection with this sexual assault. he's in his 20s about 6 feet tall, skinny with brown, curly hair and police say at the time of the attack, he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt that had a blue flower print on it. if you have any information

that may be able to help out investigators in this case, it's a good idea to put in a call to the pleasant hill police department. we are live this morning in pleasant hill, alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you. 7:33. we're learning that old age is to blame for a water main break near san francisco's general hospital this morning. crews tell us water was gushing down the street in the area of 22nd an vermont streets at 3:00 this morning. the san francisco public utilities commission said the pipe was 107 years old. the water caused the asphalt to crack leaving a 2 to 3-foot wide hole right in the middle of the street. mud was flowing down the street. but no businesses or homes were damaged. we have developing news in richmond. two overnight shootings are being investigated. officials say three people were hurt. two have been treated and released from the hospital. we'll bring you more details on this still developing story as soon as we get the information

in. richmond police are still investigating another overnight shooting. this one happened at 2:15 at fullman and carlson boulevard. police say they responded to a call about a car that rolled over right in front of anapartment complex. when the police arrived, they found a man in the car shot twice. he was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. so far, no arrests have been made. happening today, community activists, are holding a rally to raise awareness in the evergreen neighborhood. according to san jose police, 95 burglaries were reported in the district last. that's compared to 45 burglaries in the neighborhood for the entire year back in 2004. the rally is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 tonight outside san jose city hall. 7:35. if you fly in and out of sfo, you now have another choice for

your transportation needs. regulators have cleared the way for ride sharing services to operate at sfo. brian flores is at sfo right now. this is good news for some travelers for the taxi industry, though, they don't like this, do they, brian? >> reporter: yeah, they certainly don't. it's big news for really anyone who travels in and out of sfo. we're live here this morning because travelers will have another option other than b.a.r.t., taxi or limo. airport officials announced yesterday that uber and lyft have been given permits to pick up and drop off passengers at sfo. the ride sharing company joined side car. they inked a deal last week. but until then they weren't able to operate at the airport because they needed permits. now that's changed. many travelers are happy to have another alternative. some cabdrivers have already

seen a drop in business. >> compared to the last two years, this year is really, really noticeable. >> you are often in places like where we live in berkeley, you can't get a taxi. it's very difficult to call and get them to come in the early morning. if you are in places that are difficult -- i know in europe, it's often -- you have taxi stops. but you don't -- but you can't just call them anywhere. you can't flag them on the street like you can in new york. >> reporter: when i spoke with a police officer here at the airport, she told me that the ride share companies are not allowed in the taxi lines. they will be able ato pick up passengers like -- able to pick up passengers like limos do. they issued hundreds of warnings to drivers and about 30 citations were given for second offenses. now they are all allowed to work here. they will pay 3.85 per trip.

a jumg has sentenced oscar pistorius to five years -- a judge has sentenced oscar pistorius to five years in prison. this was the scene hours ago. security was very tight as the man known as the blade runner learned his punishment for the shooting death of reeva steenkamp. he could be released as soon as ten months. despite this, steenkamp's family are happy he's paying for the crime in some way. the international paralympic committee announced he will not be allowed to compete for the next five years. pistorius has won six paralympic gold medals. a missouri state senator was arrested. it's part of the continuing protest over the police shooting of michael brown in

ferguson, missouri. the state senator kept chanting as she was being handcuffed here. police say they arrested her because she sat down in the middle of the street blocking traffic. protesters in ferguson have been calling for the indictment of the police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old michael brown. well, there is another huge recall. it affects millions of cars and the list of the cars with the problem may get even bigger today. pam cook is in the studio with more about the problem and the reason, pam, certain people should go to their car dealer right away. >> yeah, the national highway safety traffic admin says said drivers in humid climates should get to the dealer immediately pl federal flips have issued a consumer advisory for more than 4.5 million cars, trucks and suvs with air bags that can hurt instead of protect people when there is an accident. all air bags are made by tekota

just after 5:00. game 2 in kansas city begins after 5:00 tomorrow afternoon. then friday and saturday the giants come home for games three and four at at&t park, along with game five on sunday if necessary. dave? >> got it. we're expecting more details today about how caltrans will deal the with the steel plates on the bay bridge that caused the traffic backup last week. caltrans already removed the plates. they still have to replace the expansion joints. the chronicle reports caltrans will install temporary paving to smooth out the approach to the edges of the steel plates. that can create kind of a mini ramp to ease your vehicle up and onto those plates. a change in how 911 calls in oakland are routed may help improve the response time. oakland police say they hope to start handling some of the 911 calls directly by the end of

the year. now, 911 calls are right now routed to a chp dispatch center in vallejo before they are transferred to oakland's dispatch center. >> i delay comes from a few different areas. >> the average wait time to speak to an oakland 911 dispatcher was 20 to 30 seconds in september. that is up a lot from september of last year when the average wait time was only 13 to 16 seconds. the national guidelines call for 911 calls to be answered in ten seconds or less. 8:06. in the next ten minute, leaders in the south bay will be joining forces with local nurses to discuss their concerns about how to handle ebola if a case occurs there. ktvu's janine de la vega joins us live from san jose to hel it el us about what they -- to tell us what they are gonna talk about. >> reporter: a couple of county supervisors are asking questions about whether or not

the county health system is prepared to handle ebola cases. that's why they invited the president of the registered nurses professional association in the reyin to ask how they feel about it. while the santa clara county public health department says the risk of ebola to people who live here is rare, county officials are concerned supervisor cindy chavez and dave cortese have asked the board to be updated on training and first responders on ebola exposure and how to handle medical waste. they want the status on the veaubility of specialize -- availability of specialized equipment and how to handle transportation hubs such as airports and train stations. >> we saw what happened in dallas. there's still people there who are healthcare professionals that are quarantined that takes healthcare professionals away from the rest of the population that severely needs their help. we want to know how do we backfill if that happens, how

did not withdraw his support for proposition 46. among other things, it would require doctors to consult a drug history database before they issue certain prescriptions. pack and his wife became involved in proposition 46 as a result of a crash that killed two of their young children 11 years ago in danville. police say that a driver addicted to prescription drugs blacked out and caused that crash. 8:11. the man who jumped a fence and ran into the white house is due in court today. a judge will decide whether omar gonzalez is competent to stand trial. he faces multiple charges including entering a restricted building while carrying a dangerous weapon. that weapon was allegedly a pocketknife. he pleaded not guilty earlier this month. his ability to get over the fence and into the white house raised a lot of questions about security and also the secret service. all right. our time is 8:11.

a driver for uber x in san francisco is accused of dragging a woman out of her car and destroying her phone. the man and woman got into a disagreement on saturday over the address of her destination. the man pulled over on jones street and allegedly dragged the woman out of his car. when she pulled out her phone to take a picture, he reportedly grabbed the phone and threw it on the street. the woman flagged down a police officered a and the driver was cited and released. she sent four messages to uber but the company did not respond until 20 hours later. uber was criticized when a driver allegedly hit a man with

a hammer and the passenger may lose an eye as a result of that attack. san francisco police are stepping up patrols after three crashes involving pedestrians in less than 24 hours, including one that killed a former printer for the san francisco chronicle. police say 87-year-old lewis van was hit and killed yesterday while crossing the street at sloat boulevard and 43rd avenue. police say the driver stayed at the scene and that he was not in a crosswalk. he started to work for the chronicle in 1959 and retired in 1992. police are investigating two other crashes involving pedestrians, including a crash that left a man critically injured at geary and 10th avenue and a hit-and-run crash at mason and turk street. people who live in a busy san jose neighborhood are fighting developers who want to build a new complex near santana row. the debate is over property at

williams and winchester boulevard. many say the planned development is too big. >> can you answer my question? >> 200 people packed the meeting last night with the developer. neighbors sounded off about a plan to tear down the reserve apartment. the developer wants to replace the two-story complex with a six-story building that would have 650 apartments and include retail space. >> if they want to buy the property and work with it the way it's zoned right now, we don't have a problem with that, but to come in, rezone build a six or seven-story structure in our backyard, that's not okay. >> well, the neighbors are worried about traffic, about parked and their privacy. the developer says his plan would help provide housing to the people who will fill the 4600 new jobs predicted for that area. the city staffers are gonna collect all comments before they make recommendations to the planning commission.

some. coolest we've seen so far. a lot of 40s. it didn't matter from the north bay to the santa cruz mountains even parts of the east bay and peninsula. partly cloudies to the north. had a nice picture from chloe up in clearlake. partly cloudy skies. that will be the forecast up towards mendocino county and lake county. there will be a lot of clouds streaming overhead the next few days. not much in the way of any rain. until maybe thursday. and then for us late friday into early saturday. let me tackle this the next couple of days. 40s, 50s. very, very cool. even menlo park. probably not that cool. but 47 degrees. low 50s force foster city andmate -- for foster city and san mateo. heavy rain, shasta between now and sunday. maybe 4 to 8 inches. for us, it looks like not until friday. mostly sunny, a cool morning for you. no issues at all. i can't even find a cloud in the sky in canscy city. sunny and 72 for first pitch.

tomorrow looks good. 60s and 70s. i know sal started off on the quiet side but things picked up. >> yes, and my maps are not functioning properly. let's go to the second item. we'll get back to the bay bridge in a second. look at 880. 880 is slow and someone reminded me that 880 usually gets slow at about this time. but there's nothing unusual about it. someone was asking why is it so slow. usually it is very slow coming through at this time. and 508 is gonna be a little bit better but 580 starts to slow at around high street as you drive through. so please give yourself some extra time and the traffic is going to be backing up. now, at the -- on highway 24 westbound, you can see traffic is moderately heavy coming through the area. i do want to mention at the bay bridge toll plaza, there was something unusual going on here, and that would be westbound coming out from the 880 ramp. this ramp here had a crash.

it's a make crash but they moved it to the side. but that's why the toll plaza looks emptyish. that will fix itself now that they've gotten the crash out of the way. if you are coming through from 580 you might want to use those lanes. at 8:32. back to the desk. police in pleasant hill right now, searching for a man blamed for a disturbing sexual assault. ktvu's alex savidge joining us live now to tell us who they are searching for and what people in the area are saying about this. good morning, alex. >> reporter: good morning. neighbors around here are surprised to hear what happened and certainly the victim, this was a scary situation for her. this woman was attacked right back there in the parking lot of this apartment complex which is on the 300 block of camelback road just north of diablo valley college. this all happened on sunday morning just about 1:30 a.m. pleasant him police say a man snuck up beep hind the woman and pulled her down to the ground. that's when investigators say the man tried to remove the

woman's underwear. the victim screamed and that scared off the attacker and he ran off. now, we talked to one neighbor who said he heard two people arguing in the parking lot around the time of the attack but he didn't hear any cries for help and was troubled this was a sexual assault. >> i've been living here for a while. never heard of -- like a rape attempt. that's scary. i'm finally coming here to -- that scares me. >> reporter: pleasant hill police put out this limited description of the man. in his 20s about 6 feet tall, he's skinny with brown, curly hair. at the time of the attack the man was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a blue flower print on it. if you have any information about what happened here early on sunday morning that may help investigators, put in a call to pleasant hill police. we're live in pleasant hill,

alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. 8:34. police in oakland searching for whoever shot and killed a well- known barbecue chef. 41-year-old eric harvest was selling his comb cooking in his old oakland neighborhood on sunday about 7:00. he went to pack up his car and six shots were fired. his fiancee who does not want to appear on camera says harvest was just trying to raise extra money for their wedding next year. now she's hoping the flis will find whoever did this -- police will find whoever did this. >> i feel cheated, lost, anger, emotion, sadness. i lost my best friend. i don't know how i'm gonna cope with that. >> police are looking for a motive for the shooting. if you have any information call oakland police. 8:35. sheriff's deputies in yolo county are asking for the public's help to find a missing

harlem globetrotter. deputies say rico harris disappeared on a road trip from alhambra to seattle. deputies reported harris missing after finding his black nissan sedan parked on state route 16 near rumsey yesterday. the car's battery was dead and his cell phone was found nearby. family families say he planned to drive to seattle to visit his girlfriend and last contacted them friday morning as he drove through the sacramento area. anyone who may have seen him is asked to contact the yolo county sheriff's office. harris is 6'9" and weighs 280 pounds. well, today, another big recall. this one involving millions of cars and it could get even bigger. pam cook is in the newsroom with more about the problem and the reason that safety experts say if your car is on that list, you should get to a dealer right away. >> four people's deaths have been linked to the recall so far which involves defective air bags that can actually explode in an accident.

now, the national highway highway safety administration has issued an ige for those cars -- an suv for those cars and trucks and suvs that have the air bags. the recall states that the inflater mechanism can rupture on the air bags, spraying the passengers with metal fragments. the agency has issued a statement that reads "consumers impacted by the recall should have their vehicles serviced promptly once they receive notification from the manufacturer. nhtsa remains in close comun my ktion with the -- communication with the supplier and automakers to gather additional data and will take appropriate action based on our findings." we have more information at ktvu.com. you will find the entire list

of models and years of cars under the hot topics section. we'll continue to update the website as well as more information comes in. later today, the government plans to add more cars to the list. reporting live in the newsroom, pam cook, ktvu channel 2 news. >> important information, thank you, pam. if you fly in and out of sfo, you now have another choice for your transportation needs as regulators cleared the way for ride sharing services to operate there. brian flores is live at sfo to explain how this is good news for some but not so good news for others. good morning, brian. >> reporter: good morning. taxi limo drivers have made it clear that this deal would hurt their business taking travelers from sfo to wherever they need to go. this deal would hurt them. this morning, they will have another option other than b.a.r.t., taxi and limo. airport officials announced

that uber and licht have been given -- lyft have been given permits. they join another ride sharing company, side car, which received a permit to operate last week. company officials will begin operations within the next 30 days. until yesterday, those caps were not permitted to -- those companies were not permitted to operate at the airport. now that's changed. many trammers we spoke with pleased they have more options while many cab drivers have seen the effects well before the deal. >> especially this year. really, really noticeable. >> cheaper than a cab. it's easy. it's an app. it's -- why not? >> reporter: now, when i spoke to airport police officers this morning, i was told the ride share companies will not be allowed to operate in the taxi lines, that they will be allowed to pick up passengers just like limos do.

ride share companies will pay an airport fee of 3.85 per trip. when i spoke with a taxi driver this morning, he said they pay $4 per trip. this is considered the first-of- its-kind deal in the country. taxi drivers, as we take it back out live, are not giving up on this fight. we understand the taxi workers' alliance, they are attending a meeting at the airport commission. that's at city hall to discuss this agreement made by the airport and the ride share companies. that's scheduled to take place at 9:00 this morning. we're live here at sfo, brian flores, ktvu channel 2 news. >> we mentioned earlier there have been a couple of situations with uber where some drivers have basically attacked some passengers. was there anyone concerned about security? >> reporter: from the passengers we spoke with, they say this is a great deal, obviously security is a concern when you take these ride share companies. they are working on it but the passengers say this is a good deal. >> all right. sounds good. all right. we're finding out more

about the human remains found at the site of the new transbay transit center in san francisco. the chronicle reports the remains of are of a native- american and appear to be 7500 years old making them the oldest remains ever found within san francisco city limits. investigators want to contact triballal members who may want to claim the remains that could be reburied at another site. healdsburg is the first to raise the age for buying tobacco products. anyone under 21 will be banned from buying cigarettes. e-cigarettes and other tobacco products, when the law takes effect. the state law sets the age at 18. and and -- opponents say this will end up hurting lowell businesses because smokers will just go outside of the city to

next four or five days up towards crescent city, del norte. 40s on the temperatures. some of these have been slow to recover. but the coolest lows, a couple of low 42s, 43. san ramon, 49. i did have a 43 also at danville. 54 average low san francisco. 34 in tahoe. 50 ukiah. 49 sacramento. reno 40. dusting of snow at north star and mount rose. we'll take it. eureka 54. look at all of the moisture. a lot of it lifting northward. the projections will start to tack up to the north and maybe from -- will stack up to the north and maybe thursday into friday, then this is one of those patterns where on thursday and friday, it may be raining in santa rosa. now, again, we have a couple of days to iron it out.

of doses could be available for real world testing in west africa as soon as january as long as they are found to be safe. clinical trials that are either underway or are planned in europe, africa and the u.s. are expected to bring preliminary safety information on two ebola vaccines by december. just a short time ago, santa clara county supervisors wrapped up a news conference. it raised questions about whether or not they are ready to treat ebola patients. >> we'll be cracking the whip today. you know, the first report i asked for was back in september. it's now late october. the clock is ticking. we think is preparedness that needs to happen in hours and days, not in weeks or months. >> now, the county is pushing for the availability of special equipment and strategic planning when it comes to transporting an and individual exposed to ebola. they also want to know how to handle hubs like airports and
