amazing video of a dad determined to get his child into a doctor. >> he wants to get her seen and he's not waiting. >> the moment he takes matters into his own hands. >> getting around new york city in a wheelchair is not an easy task. >> not wheelchair accessible. >> how long it took this guy to catch a cab. >> a driver spots some sweet plants outside a house. >> i like those. i'm going to take them. >> why it takes some kind of nerve to do this. >> and see how a dude turned his 24 karat into youtube gold.
9:31 am
as a parent when you feel most powerless is when your child is sick. a father believes his daughter is choking. he doesn't want to wait for triage. he is not waiting. kicks the door down. he believes his daughter has swallowed a coin and is choking. this guy is just not ready to wait. they were delaying on him. so he breaks down the door to get his daughter some treatment. his daughter actually did receive treatment from a physician. she is just fine. they totally understood the situation. they got the dad calmed down. sometimes as a parent, you just get scared. >> time does matter in that situation. you need to get that dislodged as soon as possible. >> she wasn't choking.
9:32 am
>> i feel like maybe there was miscommunication there, too. he obviously was upset. maybe they could have done a better job to calm him down or say okay, okay, okay, we'll look at the kid. >> what if the child was actually choking. seconds do, in fact, matter. you would do something like that. >> he must have been in a state of panic it. like the fact the hospital didn't have to do anything about it. they're like, look, we understand. >>. >> about a month ago samantha told her family in australia, i'm going to hang out with some friends. this is what happened to her after she left. that is samantha being dragged by a car. police say once dragged she was left in that gutter right there with massive head injuries. the car kept going. police just released this video because they are trying to find out who these people were. >> how did this happen? >> it's unknown how she got into that situation.
9:33 am
she believe samantha probably knows the people who did it to her. >> her mom talked to 9 news about it. >> we don't know anything how she will end up. knowing somebody has taken that away from her -- she's just a good kid. she didn't deserve this. >> samantha suffered permanent brain damage. police have not been able to talk to her because of the seriousness of her injuries. >> so heartbreaking and cruel. just pure evil caught on camera. >> hopefully with the video going out they can at least identify the make of the car. let's hope something comes of it. >> in this video from moscow, we are looking at a train depot at the lower right of your screen. there is action going on in that red circle. they are hijackers. they hijacked this train. they were able to get this train started, but they didn't get very far, you guys. it smashed into another train.
9:34 am
apparently they didn't look to see if there was another train in front of it. >> damage for no reason. >> exactly. smashed up to bits. people got away. they are looking for them. >> anybody else surprised how fast that train got going. >> it was about 20 yards. they got up to 50 miles per hour. what did they do? >> where do the tracks lead? okay. we'll catch up with them there. >> i met the people that own these two right here. wanted to slip this guy a birdie after they saw the video. and how exactly it was their plants went missing. starts backing up carefully. a few seconds before this, they had driven by the front of this office, noticed there were these unattended plants in front. gets out of the car and the dude decides, i like those. i'm going to take them. >> do you say, hey, honey, i got
9:35 am
you a gift. i got you your birthday practice. >> now from wanting to flip someone the birdie to, unfortunately, having your birdie stolen. this is somebody's backyard in texas. you see that there is a car kind of circling the area in the front of this home. there is a bird in the backyard of this home. that's the family's pet paot. the man is jumping over the fence, walks over. seems to have a t-shirt or sweater in his hands he is going to chase the bird with until he catches it to steal it. >> this is so heartbreaking to watch. that poor parrot. >> i hate it when you hear about people stealing dogs and cats. there is something extra, extra weird, it's wrong. >> it's someone else's pet. they are a family member. >> all the trauma he put the animal through for what?
9:36 am
to re-sell it give it to some other family? >> unfortunately, police are still looking for this guy. if you use a wheelchair getting around new york city is not an easy task. >> i'm scotty, a brooklyn-based musician, producer, studio owner. about 2:00 in the morning i was going home from my studio and was t-boned by a drunk driver. >> in this video, they are showcasing how long it takes him to get a taxi. >> that one there, not whole chair accessible. they have to be a minivan or these boxy ones and they have a blue icon of a wheelchair with a guy doing this. i'm not trying to say just because i'm in a wheelchair i'm the only one that suffers. it's a difficult and frustrating endeavor. >> only 2% of taxis in new york city are wheelchair accessible. only 20% of new york subway stations have elevators.
9:37 am
>> the elevator broke and i had to go all the way here to 242nd street just to go across the platform to get a downtown one to come back down. >> people assume, why do you need to go there? you're in a wheelchair. >> one thing available is a system called access a ride. >> by its nature is not conducive to spontaneous travel. you want to go to work early or come home later or go out for a beer with the boys, it's an impossibility. >> landmark lawsuit was just settled this year that now will require 50% of new york city taxis to be wheelchair accessible by the year 2020. at the end of this video, you see it takes just over an hour for scott to get a taxi. >> there we go. dude meets a wild baby monkey. dude doesn't know --
